Waiting for flare blitz move tutor for flareon. Snorlax getting slack off. As well as an umbreon buff.

A man can dream

Blaze Kick > Flare Blitz on Flareon. Trust me, I'm white. And Flareon has shit HP.

With Black Kyurem and White Kyurem being the names, I can see so many people confused which is which (including me). Oh Black Kyurem, which one is that? Is it the one that is literally black? Or is it the one with the Reshiram because Reshiram was the version mascot of Black. Why couldn't they have just called it Kyurem-Z or Kyurem-R or something. They already made the game title and the version mascot confusing, this is making things worse...

The best part? The logos have blue and red on it. This is fucking rainbows.

Obviously these games are sequels. B/W ended on an cliffhanger note with N mysteriously leaving. We probably see what happens to him after he runs off with his legendary Pokemon.

...

Dear lord, what if this Kyurem is actually N's legendary after they ran off..

All I have to say right now is that I really like these forms. They are cool, nuff said.

(Now we know the purpose of Freeze Shock and Ice Burn. I don't know if this has been brought up yet, but do you guys think Fusion Bolt and Fusion Flare has something to do with these forms?)

Yeah if I had to guess...it fuses with his and turns into the super fusion thingy version...and its up to us to stop it or something like that.

Then what happened to the one the player caught? Sequels for Pokemon games are tricky like this especially with supposedly one-of-a-kind Pokemon. =/

...what? N takes one...you take the other. The sequels have you fight the respective cover-boys. Just like how you fight the cover boys in...like every game.

Oh and its pretty clear the forms will be Ice/Fire and Ice/Electric. Unless they throw a curve ball at us.

Freeze Shock and Ice Burn hint that the forms will be Ice (Freeze) Electric (Shock) and Ice (Ice) Fire (Burn)

Now....are those type combos even remotely useful? Anyone got any idea?

Talking about Mario's Kyurem theory - the player caught a Kyurem in BW.

Well we don't know who we're playing as. Who knows? Might just be a random kid. I do NOT see us playing as the same characters unless something horrible happens to our Pokemon. Continuing with high level Pokemon wouldnt be a wise move as the thrill of the Pokemon 1 player quest is leveling up, learning moves, and evolving/catching new Pokemon. So the question is...what happens to the Kyurem we caught? Does it get free and go berserk? What made it go evil or whatever? Was that part even Canon?

I'd love some sort of feature where you could somehow incorporate stuff you did in BW1 in BW2 kind of like in the Mass Effect series. Like maybe you get some sort of bonus like a hard mode or some storyline content.

And these Kyurem forms look really underwhelming to me. Not so hot on the typing, so I'm waiting to see what the BST's look like.

I'm stupidly exited about this.

The only thing I was hoping for is full 3DS support; I sold my DSi and some games to get a 3DS, and now this. Looks like I'll have to play on my old DS Lite. Not too big of a deal.

The thing I like most is that it's not just a simple remake, appearently. New story means blind playthrough, and those are always the best.

Pretty sure kyurem-r is the mascot for white 2 and kyurem-z is the mascot for black 2. So this time they match their version… sort of.
As for the logos: the black 2 logo has blue (zekrom's blue electricity?) while the white 2 logo has red (reshiram's reddish fire?) so I suppose it matches up nicely.

GAWD I'M HAVING MIXED EMOTIONS!
I'm happy because were finally getting the third sequel to b/w but I'm upset because it's not one game but two.
I'm happy that kyurem is getting 2 new formes and that we can finally use freeze shock and ice burn legally now, but I sad that the games are DS titles and not 3DS titles.
I'm happy that keldeo and meloetta have been announced for the new movie, but I'm sad because they have yet to announce their game release events.
I'm happy because some of the story of what happened to the original dragon & its two trainers will finally be explain (hopefully) and more info on what kyurem's incomplete forme (as I'm calling it that) is.
And finally I AM FURIOUS BECAUSE THIS MEAN THAT WILL HAVE TO FUCKING BUY A WII-U IN ORDER TO FUCKING PLAY THE NEW POKEMON CONSOLE GAME!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!!!!!!!!
Oh well...Gamefreak...Nintendo...JUST TAKE MY MONEY! ALL OF IT!!!!!!
Oh and btw to all the people thinking it'll have triple typing: it's not going to have a triple type, that would break the game.
It'll be
A. ice/fire, or ice/electric...dragon will be gone...
B. dragon/fire and dragon/electric...clones...OR
C. THEY COULD THROW ANOTHER CURVE BALL AND MAKE IT DRAGON/ICE ALL AROUND!

See, your argument might have worked if there was justification to get a 3ds outside of new pokemon/zelda games on it. There are essentially no significant titles for the 3ds whatsoever besides.

The gameboy color to gameboy was a huge shift in graphics, the gameboy to ds was huge from the implementation of touch screen/2 screens and even more graphics and buttons. The ds to 3ds has slightly larger screen resolution and a 3d aspect that doesnt work unless you have the screen angled perfectly to your eyes.

It's just safer and easier for everyone to have this new pokemon game ds compatible. Now if there's a huge new shift like pokemon gen 6, then it would make sense to see it in a new console.

The only legitimate reason not to have it on the 3DS is the simple fact that the B/W engine already exists. They would, if possible, want it on the 3DS to push sales. But yes, it is easier.

The 3DS's smaller screen has ~1.5x the amount of pixels compared to either DS screen, this is a very large difference. It's also the primary reason 3DS development would be hard, because scaling the engine to fit the 3DS would be time consuming and it would look terrible otherwise.

Furthermore, you're being ignorant by trying to downplay the 3D aspect of the 3DS, when it was originally announced the concept of no-glasses 3D was pretty damn mind blowing. Now it's nothing special because the 3DS has numbed us to it, and some other companies have been producing it. (And hey, if you don't like the 3D, you can turn it off, statistically the system is a steal at $160 even without it. the XL was like $200 until right before the 3DS release.)

The jump from the DS to the 3DS should not be underrated, the graphics are much better and the specs blow the DS out of the water. (8x as much RAM as the DSi, 32 times as much as the DS phat and Lite, and a significantly stronger processor.)

I broke your post into paragraphs because it was bugging me.

On-topic: I'm hoping for a direct sequel to Black and White, it would be amazingly cool for something so groundbreaking. I wouldn't mind it if it turned out to be "two Greys" but that gets kinda boring eventually.

Pros:
-Both are now neutral to Bullet Punch
-Elec/Ice has STAB BoltBeam with even more powerful moves
Cons
-Fire/Ice is 4x weak to stealth rock and is pretty bad in general defensively

IMO Elec/Ice is gonna be really good, Fire/Ice is gonna hover around OU/UU but you can't really tell until stats come out

I dunno why everyone is instantly assuming ice/fire or ice/electric typings for these guys. Frankly I think it will be like Rotom in gen iv: Ice/Dragon with access to fire or electric moves, and perhaps an ability that gives them STAB. Kyurem is still a dragon regardless, they're merely tinging it with fire and electric traits, from where I'm standing. Here's what I predict:

120/150/90/110/90/115 for Kyukrom
-movepool identical to Kyurem but with Fusion Bolt and Freeze Shock

120/110/90/150/90/115 for Kyushiram
-movepool identical to Kyurem but with Fusion Flare and Ice Burn

This would bump Kyurem up to 680 BST and give it stats that somewhat mirror its respective form, as well as movepool additions. I don't see them getting anything beyond that as GF has never been that extravagant in the differences between form changes. These still look like Dragon/Ice types and there's only one image with indications of anything otherwise, namely all the random fire and electricity swarming around them. As for an ability anyone's guess is as good as mine. It wouldn't surprise me if they just got another glorified mold breaker ability.

As for whoever suggested that they only change form when fighting Zekrom/Reshiram, dear god, you people think of some dreadful ideas. I hope its nothing so disappointing.

Optimism, you people should learn it. =]

The way I see it, there are two big possibilities for these games:

1) They play the role as "Third installment", split into two (like Yellow, Crystal, Emerald, Platinum).

2) They play the role as "R/S remake", which would imply Hoenn.

Note that the first option would allow GameFreak to crank out another pair of games in the future, while the second would justify the split more. I mean, in case there is any reason for splitting the third installment other than money. They better add loads of new content if they want to split the games in two (but they won't be too different either).

Either way, do NOT expect many new items. A key item or two, yes, since those don't affect backwards (or sideways) compability with B/W, but nothing new and major. The same goes for triple typing. Never mind that the current coding doesn't allow it, Pokémon with three types would be too overpowered compared to the rest. Triple STAB would make coverage a whole different matter, allowing some Pokémon to hit hard everywhere. And again, backwards compability. The same goes for new abilities and moves. Freeze Shock and Ice Burn, that's all there is. Though, accuracy or perhaps even PP changes for some moves is likely. New effects to some abilities too, perhaps.

If, and I say if, GameFreak decide to give the new Kyurem Formes some Dragon-like features, my money is on the Adamant and Lustrous Orbs. Or something like those.

Also don't expect them to go away from the tried-and-true formula of "Kid goes on an adventure to beat the Pokémon League, stumbles across evil organization on his way". Any differentiations from this is reserved for the spin-off games.

I'm being a killjoy here, but don't expect to have any choices that would majorly influx the story line. Difficulty, choosing which region to start in... this would require GameFreak to code the same game twice.

Of course there will be move tutors and such. Even little kids would turn the games down if there was nothing new to do in the sequels. We will get a bunch of new move distribution, there WILL be whining (this last bit is a derivative of Murphy's Law), and some of us might even risk having fun.

Now, I guess this post will be the last on its page, so nobody is going to read it...

hoping for growth (or at least calm mind) exeggutor and brave bird/head smash aerodactyl...among many other things of course

L

Unless they completely change Kyurem's movepool these are not gonna be Fire/Ice or Electric/Ice. You'd have a non-dragon with access to Outrage and Draco Meteor and that just doesn't happen. DM is already a tutor move for it and that's something only given to Dragons. These things WILL be part Dragon, mods ban me forever if i'm wrong. :P

Also, just to clear the air, just in case:

Fire/Ice
x4 weak: Rock
x2 weak: Water, Fighting, Ground
x4 resist: Ice
x2 resist: Grass, Bug

Electric/Ice
x2 weak: Fire, Fighting, Ground, Rock
x2 resist: Electric, Ice, Flying

I didn't read the full thread, but on the first few pages there was speculation about combining the 3rd game with R/S/E remakes, if that is somehow true; YESIMUSTBUYTHISGAMESOBADLYTHATITYPEINFULLCAPSANDNOSPACES!
