With the distribution of Hoenn pokemon of the region of japan Hoenn was based on added to the ever growing pile of evidence Hoenn will be featured in this game, it had me thinking about the role Hoenn could play.

My current theory is, that unlike how most people are appearing to assume Hoenn will be an late game chase down of N, i'm starting to think that actually this game will START you in Hoenn, you eventuall find out about and track down N, THEN you have to go through Unova, to gain Kyurem to counter whiver Tao dragon N has, and return to face N.

It seems like a better way to make it so we're not rushing through Hoenn but don't spend forever going through the region we've already played, but it's little more than speculation.

Also, if they don't deliver on "every few years the champions from different regions gather to see who is the best", i will be very dissapointed. I've been wanting that SO bad since i heard it.

Ghetsis taking N's dragon sounds much more likely then recreating DNA. And Kyurem is probably gonna go on a rampage, attempting to find Zekrom/Reshiram. Or it might just attack Ghetsis and eat his face! :D But in all seriousness, Kyurem will probably rampage in anger or pain, maybe even relief at being one more piece whole?

Kyurem will most likely escape giant chasm and go on a rampage since it lacks truth or ideals. This might alert Plasma to it's presence, so they capture him and try and fuse him with Z and R from... some... odd reason. (the new bad guy's goals don't make sence. We should go back to Rocket who just tried to take over the world)

Sounds viable, but Ghetsis is like Team Rocket in the way that he wants to use Pokemon to control all of Unova. The thing that differentiates Ghetsis from Team Rocket is that he never said anything about his underlings having Pokemon, JUST himself. So even his underlings would feel his psychotic wrath.

And Team Plasma will probably be trying to fuse Kyurem with Zekrom and Reshiram to remake the original dragon, which will be an immensely powerful Pokemon. If Ghetsis had that thing under his power, the world is screwed.

I really don't think Hoenn is going to be involved in this game at all. Think about how far Unova is from the rest of the other regions.

And the Hoenn pokemon event is really just there to celebrate an IRL event.

I wonder if they're going to go with the legendary trio like hoenn's. Reshiram and Zekrom start fighting and then a form of kyurem is all like "Hey guys STFU I'm trying to sleep!"

The problem is, Johto doesn't have a champion of its own...you had to go to Indigo Plateau to face the same E4 as the Kanto people.

Still, this sounds like one hell of a postgame unlockable. Skyla does mention that "even distant Sinnoh is a hop, skip and jump away with my cargo plane" and Caitlin brings up the subject of Battle Castles in Sinnoh and Johto, so we'll see if that turns into anything. I personally think so many people are clinging desperately to the hope of some sort of RSE remake that they're thinking they're going to shoehorn Hoenn into these games. These people are going to be sorely disappointed...after all, we were wrong before on Pikablu and Opal Version.

Thing is, the hints for a Hoenn inclusion are even more prominent than the hints D/P put in for a HG/SS remake ingame, and *plenty* of people predicted that correctly. You cant't just cherrypick bad and good guesses as examples of the communities judgement.

Besides, what's wrong with a 4 champion tournament? It's like an E4 style thing then. With Lance/ Wallace/ Cynthia/ Alder. Or they could always bring Steven/ Red/ Blue in for it, all being former champions to beef up numbers.
(I've had a long time to put thought into this T.T)

Could something along the lines of this be added to the first post?

- All we know about the games at the moment is the approximate release dates and that Kyurem Black and Kyurem White (for that's their names, it is confirmed) are in them.

This is probably a little too harsh and it's not 100% certain, so it would probably not be worth it to put it in the first post, but I have hopes of somebody reading it anyway:

- As far as typing and base stats go, it's been speculated to death already. Unless you're an exceptionally good post writer, you'll add NOTHING to the thread by commenting on the horrible defensive capabilities of Ice/Fire or STAB BoltBeam of Ice/Electric. Triple typing is NOT going to happen, the current coding doesn't allow it.

- N will not be the main character of the games. The main character has always had as little back story as possible, because YOU are implied to be in it. Playing as N would also remove the staple choice of playing as a boy or a girl, something that has been in the games since Crystal.

- We're still mid-generation. There will be no entirely new Pokémon, moves, hold items, abilities and most likely no new regions. Expect no new major game mechanics either.

- As far as we know, this will be released on the DS only. Stop whining.

- 60-something people are probably viewing this thread as you read this. No need to comment on it, it was 340 while the show aired.

- The game logos contain red and blue, like sapphires and rubies. Or like fire and electric sparks. Or the main colours of Tentacool, we honestly have no idea what it's supposed to mean. Apart from the Tentacool thing, this has been argued back and forth to no avail for two days now. Try pointing it out once more and see if something happens.

this, this, this, this.

Again, this is the first time Gamefreak has ever made a direct sequel, and therefore we don't know what to expect.

And remember, there's a first for everything.

I'm wondering what exactly you are referencing with this. D/P/Pt had tons of references, from gold and silver Pokeballs on the floors of the centers, to coding for a Johto region for Pokemon to come from. While there are a few references, I don't really see very much in BW that isn't just a general case that can be applied to any other region.

Why doesn't Gold and Silver exist to everyone in this thread?!

I think people don't consider that a direct sequel due to unrelated plots, main characters, and regions. They are expecting a much closer relationship between these two games than that was.

With the obscene amount of surfing and "wild Tentacool appeared" messages in Hoenn this could be interpreted as more proof of the incorporation of the region.

1) Probably no Hoenn. It just doesn't make fiscal sense. (I really hope I eat my words)

2) I hope Kyurem is more readily available than in B/W 1, just like Rayquaza became accessible early in Emerald

Seeing as how there's nothing at the moment denying it I might as well make another conspiracy theory. The original dragon pokemon as simply arceus holding a dragon plate. He joined the original hero, but later got bored with it so he simply announced that he would split himself then created Reshi, Zekm, and Kury. Since he's arceus he can do that, and then he vanished The End.

The only problem with that is you can have Arceus, Zekrom, and Reshiram all in the same game. Plus, there is no known connection between them.

I can only hope these squeals won't fail. I'm so looking forward on any leaks/ previews/promos as it will lead to a lot of answers to questions. I just hope these squeals will be a success.

I highly doubt they will attempt to recreate the DNA. That seems more of a Rocket or galactic thing to do. They will probably get N's dragon which is why they switched.
This is a good point. It wouldn't really make sense for you to be able to catch Zekrom in White 2, for example, if the main character from White 1 already has it (whether you play as that character or not).

But Reshiram and Zekrom have giant turbine engines for tails... I would imagine they could fly pretty far.

Haha, but those weren't called "Red 2 and Blue 2"!

Sounds kind of like the Middle-Earth creation story.

^ Nice postcount.

Assuming that Black/White Kyurem are obtainable, I'd say it's pretty much certain that Kyurem will fuse with N's dragon, which will result in the form on the cover. The theory of putting the original dragon back together again seems very plausible and if the fusion happens before you catch it, then that sorts out the problem of what happens to Kyurem/the other dragon, since you essentially have a new Kyurem form (Kyurem+one dragon) plus the other dragon existing. This way, you don't have any issues with 'fusing' two Pokémon of your own, losing them for good and suddenly getting something fresh. As for obtaining the constituent dragons, you'd need to trade I guess.

Also, I'm pretty sure fusions have happened before

Oh my god, please shut up with this. Gold and Silver come after Red and Blue, and are sequels. Its not a secret. Is Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets not a sequel because its not called Harry Potter 2? Is The Two Towers not a sequel becuase its not called Lord of the Rings 2 or Fellowship of the Ring 2?

By sequel we mean a continuation of the story. From what I understand GS were pretty much just a remake or different version of the story, not a continuation.

From what I understand, Gamefreak left us with a cliffhanger ending after N flies with his respective Dragon. Plus, there isn't that much to do in Black/White to begin with, so I'm fairly positive it's a direct sequel, as opposed to a third triad version.
