The "New Duelmasters" Kaijudo: Rise of the Duelmasters complaint thread

Ok so as some people may or may not be aware a new version of Duel Masters calle "Kaijudo: Rise of Duelmasters" is currently in production for America. This would have the potential to be good (Compare to the last series of tv episodes produced...) if not for one thing; They completely disallow the use of previously released cards. This alone is a bad descision and I wish to help the people working on the game to see this error.

To do this I simply want people that enjoyed the old card game and don't want to see it change, to simply post here to show support and to provide a comment or 2 you would like to share with the makers of this series because I am compiling a huge collection of these suggestions, to allow old cards to be used and to continue on with old art and game mechanics, so I can email them to the makers to hopefully presuade them.

Edit: Sorry if this is a bad topic or something that shouldn't belong here. I just wanted some opinions of people from some of the sites that I visit that may have potential fans. If something like this shouldn't be here because it's gathering complaints then my fault for not realizing.
Edit 2: I almost saw posts 3 and 4 coming as soon as I posted this topic. I hope I actually do get serious responses though.

Complaining on a Pokemon site does what exactly...?

You're better off posting in the existing Yu Gi Oh thread. Because I don't think the rest of us care.

Edit: Oh shit I thought this was Yugioh. CARRY ON.

It has NOTHING to do with Yu Gi Oh please get your head out of your ass before you post in threads thank you

Well it's not Yu-Gi-Oh which is why I made another topic. Might as well as just called this "Duel Masters Discussion Topic" And had it be like the Yugioh or magic topic where people just post...
Edit: I mean really, shoulda made a discussion topic for Duel Masters in general and then brought up my survey'ish idea.

isn't duel masters the best selling tcg in japan?

i played the original tcg when it came out, it was p cool, kinda like magic jr

shield triggers were an awful mechanic though imo

Wow this game is still out? Guess it must still be living in Japan, hadn't heard of this in a long while...thought the anime was kinda crap, though the tcg had a few fun elements to it.

And for what it's worth, I always thought Duel Masters was more similar to MTG than YGO, I believe when they made it they were channeling that as you have the (if I remember right) primary types such as green, red, etc, and the supporting elements of that theme (like green being beatdown or something). So yeah, this ain't YGO.

Agree with you, Shields sucked. But the game itself was pretty fun. My sister bought some cards some years ago and I borrowed them to play with a good friend of mine (he told me about the game, he knows japanese and imports tons of japanese stuff).

That new change seems to suck a lot. As a fellow TCG player myself (I play and collect Pokemon TCG), I couldnt imagine not being able to use older cards in casual games.

I remember winning one of the first Duel Masters tournaments held in the United Kingdom, nearly 7-8 years ago because three of my shields consisted of Terror Pit.

I don't know how the metagame has evolved as I (like many) collected them along side Yu-Gi-Oh, but I was never sold that it would overtake YGO so I didn't go overboard with paying the prices for the broken stuff.

In fact I was more impressed with the anime and how comically hilarious some of the jokes/puns were delivered to an audience who, for the most part, thought it was Kaijudo: to the death.

Kokujo was my favourite character in the anime. That guy shows the main protagonist of the show how to lose, and then lose again.

Shield Trigers were okay to be fair. I mean they really helped stop speed decks with tapping or destroying their monsters (AKA helps big slow decks that play big things) But can be annoying if aiming at speed

Yeah Duel Masters and MTG are made by like the same people. I think they tried to use similar ideas for both

Well in Japan it is very near, if not already done, toping yugioh if memory serves (Crap ton of profit at the very least). And yeah Kokujo was awsome. Liked him better in the Japanese were he didn't have bad jokes like (Insert all Duelmasters chaacters in the U.S. here).

I'm complaining that I don't know what this is.
Eh, it died out pretty quickly in the U.S., think like early 00s? At least before 2006 or so...but yeah, guess it's been thriving in Japan still. So yeah, don't be surprised if you don't remember, as it never got that big of a crowd since the 3 main tcgs here were (and still are for that matter really) MTG, Pokemon, and YGO.
