Electro Dance Music

Natgeo, the sprites in your sig bounce to the first song you linked. Great stuff.

I've been listening to alot of electro/progressive house, dance, trance, and dubstep as off recent.

Bands would include:

Deadmau5
Blue Stahli
XKore
Crispy
CellDweller
Apollo 440
The Qemists

Just to name a few.
I'm not going to post a link at this time though.

Oh, and the soundtrack to Motorstorm Apocalypse

really nice chilled sub bass, a wicked beat and some catchy vocals = the king joy orbison

Also how do embed you-tube videos?
google nigguh!
[youtube.] tag + video code on the end of the youtube video (the G4hljPQshAU part) + [/youtube] tag

I'm not sure if I've posted Jacques Greene itt, but he's fucking fantastic and amazing and probably the only person to make a radiohead remix that I have song for song liked better than every original.

Gareth is thy man. He's got so many golden tunes, such as Sanctuary [Sean Tyas remix, better than the original] which has been in my top 3 for so much time. Hands down, this was a mega hit during 2011 (@MS: agreed or not? ;) ) Thanks for posting Tokyo, Grove! Adding it to iTunes.

Couple of songs that I've been playing a lot lately:

> Summer Of Love by Aroma. I have to say -- I totally love summer beats / Romanian-style Dance songs like this. To many EDM listeners, this is the kind of rhythm they don't really follow that much, but to me this is huge.

> What Did I Do by Kele vs Sander van Doorn. "What did I do..." Lovin' the voice and the beat. I've also been hearing this song a lot around here lately.

> Slumber by Steve Forte Rio feat. Lindsey Ray. Steve Forte Rio is one of Tiësto's name by which he's known, and this song in particular sounds really well. You guys should check it out.

@MS: you're shining, man! Huge improvement in those last mixes compared to the first ones you showed. /Proud/

Thanks everyone for sharing and keeping this topic alive. Cheers!

Yo, that'd be me! Old username etc.

@Setsuna - Agreed! I'm not as big a fan of Gareth's last couple of productions but Sanctuary was monstrous and is my favourite Emery track of all time hands down. There are some gorgeous remixes but the original is pretty special in itself too. By the way, I love the Steve Forte Rio track, Tiesto needs to go back to producing music like that again I reckon! Thanks heaps for the kind words by the way about my music everybody :). I still have lots of improving to do but having a permanent club residency forces me to continue practising and getting better constantly haha.

I think this is how to do it, just heard this track now and it's a little different to most trance but I loved the haunting synths used in it! This isn't the full length version by the way believe it or not!

Epic mix is an appropriate name. Similar to Aether with the same vocal synth but a different beast overall. Pretty cool song!

@Everyone - Loving the contributions to the thread, I haven't heard a lot of the songs posted on the last page which is awesome because it means I'm always adding to my music! NatGeo in particular, I fell in love with the songs you posted - sick find man!

@Paolo - Liquid Stranger is one of my favourite dubstep artists! Good taste my friend :)

Quite sure this hasn't been posted yet:

Swedish House Mafian, Sebastian Ingrosso, if comparable, would be best compared to Avicii's style of music, but I like that his stuff isn't as overplayed so the song doesn't seem to get old.

Some more of his stuff:

Anyone here heard of MaRLo? Well he's coming to Canberra (it hasn't been publicly revealed yet) and I have the INSIDE TRACK on playing the warmup set for him here! As one of the best Trance DJ's in the world if I get the gig this will be a dream come true for me :). Here is the mix that'll land me the gig if I get it. I was asked to start at 128 bpm progressive house (which I play for 15/20 odd minutes) and eventually build up to 135/136 bpm Trance.

Let me know what you all think :)

EDIT: Nice tracks Acklow!

Couple of killer songs that I've been listening to lately. Play both in HD.

> Concrete Angel - by Gareth Emery. This is Emery's latest track, and it's pretty great, especially minute 2:20. Love this guy.

> Hide and Seek - by Imogen Heap. Give it time, this song is supreme.
