Introduction
Hi there Smogon, it's been a while. After 5 months, I've gotten Pokemon Online to work on my computer, but it's been at least 6 or so months since I've posted an RMT. This team is directed towards the Dream World OU tier, and is based around bulky Calm Mind Meloetta. I hate how people don't use Meloetta, so I decided to use it.
Teambuilding
Right at first, I knew I was set on basing this team around an original Meloetta set of mine.
After this, I decided to utilize Tail Glow Manaphy, which can help prepare for or finish Meloetta's sweep.
With Meloetta in the mix, I had to run Politoed so I could abuse Rest + Hydration. Also, with a Choice Scarf, Politoed could revenge kill.
At this point, I decided that paralysis support would be helpful, and I also needed Stealth Rock support. Jirachi was the natural choice.
With a fully special team, a physical attacker was needed. I went with Technician Breloom for a few reasons, the main being Mach Punch.
I wanted one more thing to abuse rain, and Genesect stuck out at me with U-turn, along with great coverage in Flamethrower and Ice Beam. It abuses rain with Douse Drive Techno Blast.
Overview
In Depth
Politoed @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Drizzle
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest
~ Hydro Pump
~ Ice Beam
~ Focus Blast
~ Hidden Power Grass
How it works: Politoed is a blessing to this team. Drizzle supports Manaphy, Genesect, Breloom, and Jirachi, and so is very helpful. As for the set, I needed a revenge killer, and one that could beat Excadrill was a bonus. Hydro Pump is of course the obligatory STAB move, hitting surprisingly hard. Focus Blast hits Steel-types like Ferrothorn, the main target of the move. Hidden Power Grass hits bulky Water-types like Jellicent. Maximum EVs are invested in both Special Attack and Speed to maximize Politoed's effectiveness, with 4 in HP for filler. A Modest nature is used to compensate for the lack of power compared to a Choice Specs set.
Why this Pokemon: As mentioned, Politoed is a blessing to the team. It removes any problems with Chandelure, whom Meloetta also happens to hard counter. Manaphy requires Drizzle for Hydration. Genesect loves its halved Fire weakness. Jirachi takes literally nothing from Fire-type moves with Drizzle up. Also, I need a revenge killer.
Genesect @ Douse Drive
Trait: Download
EVs: 16 Atk / 252 SpA / 240 Spe
Naive
~ U-turn
~ Ice Beam
~ Thunder
~ Techno Blast
How it works: I made this set based off of the current EVs, but decided to use Techno Blast. With a Douse Drive, Techno Blast becomes a Water-type move, which is further boosted by rain. You may think losing the item is not worth it, but I do get to bluff a Choice item. I have continually found Flamethrower a waste of a moveslot, and have opted for BoltBeam and Techno Blast. All I need is 240 Speed, and Max Special Attack is optimal for power, with the leftover in Attack.
Why this Pokemon: The main thing here is surprise factor; no one expects Douse Drive Techno Blast. U-turn allows Genesect to get offensive momentum, also allowing it to do some damage instead of hard switching.
Breloom @ Life Orb
Trait: Technician
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant
~ Spore
~ Swords Dance
~ Mach Punch
~ Bullet Seed
How it works: This is just a standard Swords Dance Breloom. Spore gets off 100% accurate sleep, allowing Breloom to set up with ease. Mach Punch is super-powerful, OHKOing Excadrill and Blaziken, two major threats, along with weakened Thundurus. If Bullet Seed gets 5 hits, it can OHKO Gliscor with no boost. None of this even assumes a Swords Dance, which makes Breloom even more powerful.
Why this Pokemon: The main thing I needed is priority. The rare Riolu, along with Excadrill, Garchomp, and Blaziken, make it a necessity. Also, I needed a physical attacker to hit the pink blobs.
Jirachi @ Leftovers
Trait: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP / 224 SpD / 32 Spe
Careful
~ Iron Head
~ Body Slam
~ Stealth Rock
~ Wish
How it works: This is actually the first time I have used Jirachi for all of Generation 5, and it definitely does not disappoint. Body Slam is my main move, causing paralysis, particularly for Excadrill and Blaziken. Iron Head causes flinches, which, in conjunction with Body Slam, make Jirachi very effective. Stealth Rock is a great support move to wear down the opposing team. Wish passing to Meloetta and Breloom is very helpful.
Why this Pokemon: Jirachi can take special hits with ease, particularly Draco Meteors. Wish support is also very helpful to my main sweeper, Meloetta. This team also needed Stealth Rock somewhere, and paralysis support is helpful.
Manaphy @ Leftovers
Trait: Hydration
EVs: 220 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 32 Spe
Modest
~ Tail Glow
~ Surf
~ Ice Beam
~ Rest
How it works: Manaphy either starts Meloetta's sweep, ends it, or performs a quick sweep. I have found that getting to +6 is extremely easy with my modified EV spread. I started with 32 Spe to hit the benchmark of 244. Then, I decided to invest 252 EVs in Special Attack for maximum power, along with a Modest nature. I was going to dump the rest in HP, but I decided that putting 4 EVs in Special Defense would be wise to screw with Genesect. Surf is rain-boosted STAB, while Ice Beam provides coverage. Rest is awesome, bringing Manaphy back up to full health with no sleep turns.
Why this Pokemon: It is so easy to get up a boost, and Manaphy can clear the way or finish up for Meloetta. Manaphy is extremely bulky with investment, and can take hits, also providing me with relief for some +4 Attack Baton Passes.
Meloetta @ Leftovers
Trait: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold
~ Calm Mind
~ Psychic
~ Hidden Power Fighting
~ Shadow Ball
How it works: Feast your eyes on the most effective Meloetta set in the game. It can take any hit, and is even bulkier than Manaphy, both physically and specially. It is so easy to boost with Calm Mind, which boosts 128 Special Attack and 128 Special Defense. Psychic is a powerful STAB, with Hidden Power Fighting and Shadow Ball for perfect coverage.
Why this Pokemon: It boosts extremely easily, and can clean up almost any game. Also, it hard counters Chandelure and Reuniclus, two threats. Meloetta is extremely physically bulky, and, like Manaphy, has saved me from Baton Pass teams.
Baton Pass - Baton Pass teams have very few goals in mind - they either wish to pass to Espeon with a lot of boosts, or pass to a 4 attack Sweeper at Air Balloon or Focus Sash. To defeat these teams, keep these questions in mind:

Code:
Offensive Threats
[IMG]http://sprites.pokecheck.org/icon/386-speed.png[/IMG] Deoxys-S:
[LIST]
[*]Focus Sash - Entry hazards are ok, as I am not particularly weak to them. Politoed can normally hold it to Stealth Rock and 1 layer of Spikes
[*]Offensive - Jirachi walls it, and can paralyze it back.
[*]Dual Screens - Screens are not a huge problem in this bulky and generally set up team.
[/LIST]
[IMG]http://sprites.pokecheck.org/icon/497.png[/IMG] Serperior:
[LIST]
[*]Sub Seed - Jirachi beats it easily, as does Genesect if it lacks HP Fire.
[*]Choice - Jirachi walls even harder here, not really a threat.

Baton Pass - Baton Pass teams have very few goals in mind - they either wish to pass to Espeon with a lot of boosts, or pass to a 4 attack Sweeper at Air Balloon or Focus Sash. To defeat these teams, keep these questions in mind:
- Can I break the chain successfully and/or somewhat easily?
- Am I not helpless to Espeon with only defensive boosts?
- Can I hit hard enough to quickly kill these teams after the chain is broken?
- How could I potentially beat Focus Sash Smeargle before it gets out of hand?
Concluding Thoughts
This is definitely the team I have had the most fun playing with, and I look forward to any criticisms and rates. For your convenience, here is an importable.
