UU=underused

RU= rarely used

NU= Never used

Ubers= doesn't stand for anything, it's a ban list for OU (overused, if you were wondering).

Glad I could help, but you could have found out the same info by browsing the site or googling (both of which would take only a couple of minutes).
Kewl so apparently ubers aren't allowed and i'd have to switch my team up if any ubers are in my party?

I'm having the same problem with my rest/talk milotic, First she didn't pass the pokemon checker because you have to make her appear traded as a feebas and let it evolve holding prism scale. Now she won't pass the checker because of sleep talk. Is rest talk illegal now or something?

I know there was a problem with moves from older gens a while ago but I'm pretty sure they fixed that. If you made it look like Milotic was obtained in Gen 5, then there's no way it would legally be able to learn Sleep Talk.

That might actually be the reason so when i use poke gen should i make it's origin Diamond and make it look like it i received it from poketransfer? if that's the only aspect i've been looking over i'll be tight because i've been trying to get a rest talk for a month -_- lol.

Yeah you have to make it look like it came from other gens to have moves like that. The game keeps track of things like this so it can say things like "Arrived from Hoenn after a long travel through time."

Since I am against hacking for all but IV checking would it be a good idea for me to test on PO until I get a team with I am happy with, or are the metagames too different.

I'm gonna finally get a dark pulse porygon-z too now! YAY lol. Thanks for all the help, time to fire up my pokegen.

Random Wi-Fi is completely different from the standard 6v6 that PO does. VGC2012 is the same as Doubles Random Wi-Fi and offensive singles teams will fare similarly in both 6v6 and 3v3 but stall is pretty much impossible with only 3 Pokemon.

The biggest difference between the two metagames are that Nintendo bans all event Pokemon (like Mew and Jirachi) and allows things like Garchomp, Speed Boost Blaziken, and combinations of egg moves that would normally be illegal (Hypnosis+Brave Bird Crobat, Belly Drum+Aqua Jet Azumarill, Sleep Powder+Spikes Roserade, etc.)

Well, "lead" as a whole has become a rather troublesome term. For most intents and purposes Jirachi is used, but if you want more power, priority or Pursuit (Metagross' 3 P's), or can find any other niche for Metagross, feel free to use it. The lack of recovery and general utility moves hurts it though, and Steel still isn't the greatest STAB to have, nor is Psychic.

Why are all the analysis pages and tiers based off of singles alone? I would think the analysis of doubles, triples and rotations would be far more complex and interesting. [This is coming from someone that -only- does doubles competitively and has found singles boring since 3rd gen.] I realize that doubles may create the need of analyzing different PAIRS over single pokemon with a listing of good partners, but at the same time. Doubles analysis opens up a wealth of more complex strategies that are enviable or even impossible in singles.

This page gives you all of the analyses for VGC, which are Doubles matches. Not many people on here play anything but Singles and VGC, so no one really knows what those metagames are like. Also, the banlist for VGC is set up by Nintendo, so no one even considers making other bans to that metagame.

The Deoxys formes have been evaluated singularly since the beginning of Gen V. Deoxys-S was OU until a couple of months ago and Deo-D is still usable (though probably not for so long) in UU. There's probably no reason as to why Deo-D should be uber.

I was thinking about having a Kecleon for giggles, but since I only use the Battle Tower/Battle Subway I was wondering what EVs/nature/item/moves I should give it (I really don't use supporting Pokemon).

I was thinking of letting it have the elemental punches as well as Return, to try and cover types but I'm really not sure.

Considering how laughably bad Kecleon is, the only way I can see it being slightly viable is with a stalling Recover set with a gimmick similar to Reflect Type with Color Change, or using Nasty Plot. But it's going to be really bad no matter what you decide

Kecleon is a boss.
But regardless, I don't think that'll work in Battle Subway. Seeing how little pokemon like attacking their own type (just Ghost and Dragon are super effective), I'd go with sub/recover/toxic/return, with max HP and SpD. It makes quite a decent special tank then...

Would Swadloon be useable in any higher teir with Eviolite? There has been no guide made, so I was curious if he might make a decent wall.

Apparently when I made a thread asking this question it was deleted because you only allow "important" people to make threads about "deep" topics. Who knew that a forum dedicated to Pokemon would not actually let you discuss Pokemon! So I hoping this get answered here.

Celebi and Shaymin are both just as bulky as Eviolite Swadloon, have good recovery in the forms of Recover and Rest+Natural Cure, and have much better offensive stats so they don't become set up fodder. Parasect also has the same typing with decent defenses, immunity to Water attacks, good Atk, and Spore, making it more useful than Swadloon.

Also, it would have been fine if you had discussed the usefulness of Eviolite (although, we already have a thread for that) and mentioned how bulky Swadloon is but just discussing one set on one Pokemon doesn't warrant it's own thread.

Does Eviolite boost total stats (EVs), or just base stats? I cannot find the discussion on Swadloon and it's viablity (or lack thereof) with Eviolite. And I made the thread to discuss Swadloon in general, considering there is NO guide what so ever on the Pokemon. Eviolite was what I considered the only way he would be discussed since threads on Pokemon are about using a Pokemon in it's most optimal setting.

I was just curious what would be optimal for the Pokemon.

Protect
Struggle Bug
Payback/Grass-whistle/Toxic
Safeguard/Light Screen

or

Substitute
Calm Mind
Baton Pass
Struggle Bug

Not having Leftovers hurts him, and the only recovery move available is Rest and Dream Eater (Which is worthless since 55% Accuracy Grass-whistle almost never hits). They should have given him Giga Drain and/or Leech Seed.
