The Everything NHL Thread

Compared to not calling the too-many-men on the Caps (giving a power play) and not calling Marchand getting highsticked and blood drawn leading directly to a breakaway goal....I think it more than breaks even for the Caps. The Bruins are getting fucked by the refs in this game so hard
 
No one should ever be called for doing anything to Marchand. He spends more time flat on the ice than the puck. He is a disgrace to the game. Probably could have called it but when the refs watch you flop at the slightest glance they're going to be hesitant to make the call. The non-call on too many men was a close call. The guy was really close to getting off the ice. Nothing has gone against the Bruins as hard as them giving a goal to the Bruins went against the Caps.
 
Yeah I'm kind of curious how he managed to bleed from pretending a defender that barely touched him(if he even did that) leveled him. im also not overly sympathetic to boston in general given that they got 4m from chara skating into ovechkins stationary stick and got a goal that shouldnt have counted; the refs have been equally bad both ways just like the rest of the series and the playoffs in general.


I'm also curious how a a tap-in is a breakaway
 
He didn't get cut from the incidental contact, he got cut because the incidental contact led to him throwing himself into the stick of the guy skating past him. I feel no pity for him, he made the decision to swan dive into a stick on his own. Chara, on the other hand... ouch.

EDIT: Fuck, goal. This game would be 10-3 if the Bruins weren't doing such a good job collapsing around the cage and clearing pucks, there have been some ridiculous rebounds.
 
He's just so damn amazing. The awful regular season makes you forget just how stacked our team is. I don't know how to feel. The much maligned defensive philosophy is the only reason we are where we are in this series. I do know I'm pumped.

What fuck. You can't pass like that.
 
Well no matter who wins the series they will have worked their asses off to beat the other team and the pinstripes. What a series.
 
I sad. Pens played like shit. And Boston will probably win the series, gonna be hard to win game 7 in Boston.

Now for any team not named the Flyers or Capitals to win the cup. Maybe Canucks too because it's funny they've never won one.

The Caps have won more games in Boston than they have in D.C.
 
The Sharks may be gone (to who I think is the best team in the WC btw) and I know the Kings are in our division and all, but if they win it in OT over the Canucks my heart will be so glad!

After the third period, pretty much expected a loss at that point, with the terrible play. Philly and Ottawa please don't fail me.

Also I can see the smoke from the flames in downtown right now.

Don't get me wrong I dislike the Kings a fair bit but there's just something about Kesler and the Canucks (and sodium chloride from last year).

Anyway go Ottawa! Or Florida, I could dig one of these teams winning it!

Good shot of the Canuck dude holding Lewis' stick there to try to draw the penalty, which as you can imagine, he has a hold of for the previous several frames, as well. Obvious dive, karma is a bitch, etc.
 
As an Oiler fan, It is great to see the Canucks out :), But I was rooting for the Pens and it sucks to see them out. The defence in that series for both teams was awful..Congratz to Philly though, Claude Giroux is an amazing player!
