5th Gen PRNG Help / Info - Latest: RNG Reporter 9.96.5, PPRNG 1.15.0

I've tried that, but nothing comes up. The closest spread I get to what I got has a completely different special defense. I've broadened my results to absurd ranges and still nothing.

I had a lot of problems with wondercard abuse as well.

Most of the time I was getting a different timer, and very rarely, a different second. Are you sure you're checking for different timer's under adjacent seeds? Make sure you are using a min of like C7B and a max of C7D, or something along those lines for your timer.

can someone explain the cute charm thing in RNG reporter 9.95? I see a seed I like but it has something that says cute charm (25% M) in the column.

You can hover over the column to get a full explanation, but it basically means that seed\frame will only be useful to get a Pokemon that has a 25% male gender ratio, with Cute Charm.

Hi smogon, long time no see!

Does anyone have a Timid hex perfect Wonder Card spread for English Black? Preferably without L/R shoulder buttons. I've been searching since yesterday, but my comp is ass slow and still didn't found anything. Help much appreciated!

The searcher only looks for spreads that are unique to your DS. We can't give you our spreads because they only work for our DSes.

Spreads are determined by your parameters and MAC address, so the ones other people use will probably not work for you. You could ask someone to search for one for you, but they would have to know that information.

Just to be sure, adding to Redtype's question:

It doesn't matter what TID/SID combo I type, it will work on my game as long as all other information are true, yes?

I know that this doesn't exactly follow the OP's rules, but it's a quick RNG question that wouldn't fit anywhere else:

Is there an easier way to get a good nature for entralink rngs instead of continually resetting? I heard once that there is this thing called a "nature timer" or whatever that you start when you press 'A' at the "______ warped to the Entralink!" message. If this is an actual tool, is it available in RNG Reporter or some other program? I Google searched it and didn't come up with anything, but I think I do remember seeing maybe a sentence about it somewhere on this forum.

There's information about it scattered throughout the thread, and several incomplete guides such as this one. There are tools for it built into RNG Reporter, mainly the "Entralink Seed Search" option under 5th Gen Tools.

Once again, it's Voodoo to the rescue :).

I am using the Entralink Seed Search now, but if I'm soft-reseting, would I check off the soft reset box or does that not matter? Also, do I aim for the C-Gear seed frame, or the frame that comes up in the seed searcher's table? And which date/time do I aim for? So many numbers now X_X

Of course that matters; if you're soft resetting then yes, you check the box :p

The frame that the Seed Search window shows you is a PID frame. You have to hit your C-Gear frame (that's the frame that determines IVs) and your PID frame.

Hitting the right delay/IV frame has nothing to do with the natures; those are completely determined by the standard seed. When are you starting your nature timer (the second Eon timer window)?
I'm hitting it the second the first timer ends at the "_____ teleported to blablabla!" I think it's a problem with the way I input the information into the main RNG Reporter window or something. If PID abuse is supposed to always give you the nature you're aiming for then that is not what's happening.

First off, after you check if you hit your standard seed with Chatot's (or not), do you turn on the C-gear and rush over immediately to bring up the menu, close it, press wireless, and hit Entralink to get to that "xxx entered the Entralink screen!"? Remember, the C-gear is running at this time, so you want to minimize how long it needlessly runs.

If so, then when you do get the Pokemon but the wrong nature, do you see a nature you hit in the main window of RNG Reporter?

Incense and RNG Breeding

For pokemon that require an Incense item to breed their earliest evolutionary form, does holding that Incense item change the RNG parameters? If so, how should one compensate?

@Princess of Johto - thanks, those helped quite a bit. I tried using the nature searcher thing in RNGReporter, but right now I'm just confused. When it comes to resetting, won't the two target times collide? (unless they're absolutely the same) In simpler terms, how can I hit both seeds (standard and C-Gear) at once?

It is normal if the time to enter the game (pokemon black) vary in the DSi?
I'm trying to help a colleague to calibrate its parameters, but the time is varying a lot.

Hi. I'm running Ubuntu oneiric, and use Mono to load RNG Reporter.

9.75 works perfectly, but when I try to use 9.95, it dumps a huge wall of text on me.
