AP Exams

Physics C AND biology are monday but thankfully Cooper only cares about the former so I'm adapting a likewise mentality. My school only offers Calc AB so I had to teach myself the BC material but I think I could get a 5 with a little luck.

I got a 5 on apush and a 4 on chemistry last year. Was hoping for a 5 on the latter but what can I do?

Did anyone take comparative gov?

I'm extremely worried about it, it's pretty hard. In my school they try to jam in US Gov into a semester and Comparative into a semester so we basically end up shortchanging both of them. Thankfully I know some US Gov from last year's APUSH, but I don't know anything about Comparative Gov. Any helpful words?

EDIT:
At below, APUSH is rough, I don't know how they teach it at your school, but I know that in my school we basically didn't cover anything after WWII due to time restraints. I'd learn some of that over the summer, it's not so hard and you'll definitely reinforce it later in the year. But like for my school, the main essay question was on Nixon, and a good portion of kids really didn't spend any time on him at all. I'm glad I learned about him over the summer.

And AP Bio is awesome, you'll absolutely love it. You probably can take it easy over the summer.

Took AP World History last year as a soph, taking Chemistry, APUSH, Spanish Lang, and English Lang this year.

Chem was hard this year, I think I got a 4 though. APUSH was loleasy even though previous exams were hard, Spanish I utterly failed, and English should be an easy 5.

Fuck spanish.

Took APUSH last year, got a 5 with a little bit of studying. Took Calc AB, Chem and Psych this year, feeling pretty good about each of those.

I can't wait until next year, taking AP Calc BC, AP Biology, AP Spanish, AP Physics (B and C? I don't really know how my school does that), AP Stats, AP Government and AP English. >.>

Last year I took World History and got a 4, even though my essays were absolute garbage.

So far I've done Chemistry, APUSH, and Chinese. Tuesday I have the French exam, which I'm gonna fail :D

MARATHON ROUND TIME

BIOLOGY, PHYSICS C MECH AND PHYSICS C EM

time to take some tests all day and not go to school

also i haven't really studied but let's just wing this

Yeah, obviously history pedagogy should put far more emphasis on upper-class white males. Oh. Wait.

Yeah, it should. Dead white men have historically been the driving forces behind history, and still are to some degree. While culture and history are important in many respects, it seems ridiculous that these are the focus of MC sections of AP exams. Obviously, questions about major policy decisions and world wars are much more important than any single cultural shift. If they want to ask primarily about culture questions, those are what the FRQs are for: allowing kids to tie in culture to broader themes. Focusing on culture, and surprising kids who studied the more important topics of US history, is not what the APUSH exam should be like imo.

IMO Physics C Mechanics wasn't too horrible; the third OEQ was a ball-buster but everything else for me was pretty straightforward.

E&M, on the other hand, was miserable for me; I think I got like half the MC correct and I completely bombed #1 in the OEQs and BSed my way through most of the other two. :/

took Physics B today. The MC with the Electromagnetism stuff was pretty dumb, also thanks in part to the fact that my school made us do that unit independently. The free response was a bit tricky in certain parts, but I'm pretty sure I applied the right concepts everywhere. There's bound to be a computation error somewhere, but I feel confident in a 4 and fairly confident in a 5. The MC was the hardest I've done so far this year, compared to English Lit, Calc AB and Chem.

Still have World History on Thursday, meh..

Really kittenmay?!

I didn't finish the multiple choice but got done with the free response about 30 minutes early.

quoted from facebook:
two AP tests this week, have studied a cumulative total of 0 seconds. Epic success.

It's stat and world, stat i literally got an A on the practice test by conventional grading standards, and i'm a huge history buff. dual fives i hope!

next year's lineup: Physics B / Calc ABBC / EngLang / APUSH / Chem

...yeah

yeah! it's two periods though so they can cram in all the crap in one year

edit: also they do the same thing with physics which DOES NOT need it and then they count one of the periods as a standard class for your gpa and it makes me real sad D:
