I love all these how all these Chelsea fans are suddenly appearing in this thread.

I've been a fan since I was 5, when they had Carlo Cudicini, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbank, Gianfranco Zola (one of my favourite players ever), Gallas, Desaily etc. Just because I didn't post in this thread much (I swear I've posted about Chelsea a couple of times before this week anyway haha) doesn't mean I hope you are questioning my fandom!

I'm sure he wants to join the CL winners over anyone else in the PL hehe. And Man United didn't even win their customary title(or anything) this season so he's not going there.Don't worry phalanx you guys are getting Kagawa by the looks of it.

I sometimes don't understand how teams decide who takes penalties. At United and Arsenal it's really obvious, Rooney and RVP are good penalty takers so it's an intuitive decision. At Man City it's still somewhat intuitive, if Balotelli is on the pitch he takes the penalty. Chelsea? Lampard, Drogba, Ca$hley.

I feel like at Barca and Munich it's less obvious in regards to who should take penalties. I think it was a poor decision to let Messi take the penalty against chelsea and that anyone else could have taken it. On the other hand, Munich only really have Robben and Schweinstagger, they're both chokers I guess.

In regards to Hazard, he revealed that he would be 'playing in Manchester' next season. This was a few days ago though, so Chelsea might have jumped in with a bid after they won the Champions League. Chelsea can probably match City on any one player in terms of asking price and wages, they just can't throw as much as City can overall at masses of players. However, the difference would be minimal still I reckon, there's only so much that teams wouldn't accept for their big players (Ronaldo, Kaka, Ibrahimovic for example).

Hazard will have to think which would be the best move for him:

Manchester United: The best manager to work with a younger play from the current selection is definitely Sir Alex. However, he'll have to accept less wages and Lille would probably have to accept the lowest price offer. United already have Nani, Valencia, and Young battling it out for first team football every week. If Park doesn't leave and United sign Kagawa, will Hazard even be guaranteed that many games? No. Even though it's a hot talent, he's still young and would probably play less often. However, if United reveal that their real target is Hazard and don't sign Kagawa, along with letting Park go, then he might fancy his chances to play for the more successful team.

Manchester City: They need wingers for a plan B. They can offer the best price to Lille and the most wages. They maybe have the most potential to go and win other trophies and be successful. The only thing he'll be wary of is how often City will play with wingers. They have a set formation now with their four attackers switching positions throughout a game. I don't know if Hazard will replace them, he could be more of an impact player.

Chelsea: They can probably match the asking price and offer similar wages. They need Hazard in a similar way to City, except you can see Chelsea getting rid of a lot of forwards in Drogba, Kalou, and possibly Malouda. He would fancy his chances of starting games here IMO. Him and Mata could take turns playing behind Torres or on the left wing, while Ramires could nail down the right sided position. Lampard, Meireles and Mikel would alternate in the two deeper midfield positions. He'd still get Champions League football, but Chelsea might have to get it right in the transfer market to make it into the top four again (unless Spurs and Newcastle lost a few players after not making the UCL). In which case, a top four of City, United, Chelsea, and Arsenal is pretty much nailed on for next season IMO.

Obviously, I'd love Hazard to come to United, but after weighing it all up I think Chelsea is the best move.

So, obviously he'll go to Man City... Lol.

Nah I doubt he'll go to City unless he and/or his agent have'nt done their homework on the champions. He's gonna get more playing time at United than City and even more at Chelsea. That being said,he's probably gonna pick Chelsea over United due to the prospects of higher pay and more game time.

they are letting Hazard choose, so they will accept a lower offer if it is from the club he wishes to go to.
it depends, his best chance of being THE BEST is by going to United (and thier facilities and history of development for youth), and he will get game time, United have room in midfield

Yeah, it just depends what kind of challenge Hazard wants.

There is the possibility that if he comes to United, he has to compete with five other wingers for a place. Would he relish the challenge or would it put him off? Can't really say. But if we didn't sign Kagawa and let Park go, along with not signing a big name striker (while letting Owen, Berbatov, Macheda, and Bebe go) then he's got to think he's in the first team 100% every week.

Despite Chelsea's magnificent Champions League and FA Cup wins, along with City only just winning the league and United winning nothing, I think he would still fancy his chances of winning more major trophies with United or City. That is pretty simple even to Chelsea fans I hope. However, he can earn more money and he would probably get in Chelsea's starting 11 for 90% of their games if they sold a fair few attacking players.

City is just City. I think he'd play enough, but he'd basically have to live with being the Adam Johnson replacement a lot too. Coming on as a sub when City can't break a team down, but he'd probably start a lot of home games too.

He has time on his side as he's young, but this is a major decision where each club has pros and cons. I can't really say which would be the best option, but I'm sure fans of each club would welcome his signing for them. I'd personally love him to come to United, but I think he'll go to City and United will sign Kagawa instead at half the price.

well we can move young to central midfield, freeing up the left wing (dont count Nani there ')) or Hazard could play in the centre of midfield

We definitely won't win the CL again but if we sell all the deadweight players and sign the right replacements along with Hazard,De bruyne and Marin we have could challenge for the title. We could also win one of the domestic cups.

City would mean the end of Adam Johnson there.

tbh I think he'll end up there. He offers something different to all the players there with his dribbling. Silva and Nasri are more passers that are being used out wide. Johnson can beat defenders like Hazard, but Hazard obviously has a much better all round game.

He'll get games easily. The players are versatile enough that Mancini can figure out a way to include all of them if they deserve it, and tbh I think he's better than Nasri anyway.

We're definitely going to be spending more than United so unless we end up signing four or five more Torres' we're either going to win it or finish second atleast. That being said,if the trophy does stay in Manchester then it's gonna be at the Etihad imo.

Agree with Lee on that. This season proved as much as any other that cup competitions are cup competitions. On their day anyone can win them. Chelsea fans shouldn't get carried away with a title challenge, but I think they'll finish third when they get their first-team squad sorted out and manage to keep some consistency with managerial appointments.

Hazard wants to join his buddy Vermaelen and accept 20k a week wages. I can sense it. Plus he likes Wenger, i mean Wenger is adorable, who doesn't like Wenger?

I'll be happy with Hoilett tbh. A good winger. Plays a lot like the Ox. We need a top quality defender most of all and one more winger/forward. If we get it and keep Van Persie then Arsenal is looking very strong for next year. I worry that Wenger will not buy a defender though, or another quality forward... I guess it's time for Afobe and Aneke to shine.

Latest rumours say Hazard has recently 'changed his mind' and United are favourites to get him.

All I can guess now is that if United do succeed but still stay in for Kagawa is a change of formation at United. Rooney upfront alone with a combination of Nani, Young, Valencia, Hazard, and Kagawa as a three behind him, with two midfielders such as Scholes & Carrick deeper. I just think that'd mean too little games for our other midfield players and our other strikers would be limited to sub appearances most of the time (unless we didn't sign Kagawa in the end).

hazard will stay in lille because everyone will get fed up with his constant "changing his mind" and nobody will want to buy him any more!

Also I don't really see chelsea as premier league winners but if we pick up a solid striker (lewandowski!!!) and maybe a right back (bosingwa was good on saturday but i really don't trust him AND he has an atrocious monobrow..) then we could have a chance, after all the premier league isn't exactly predictable!

The fuck? I won't be.

Have you seen Hoilett play? He's an absolute beast. One of the most exciting young players in the PL. Got a rocket of a shot, beats ppl 1v1, is a proper winger and was the only player on the Blackburn team actually doing something. He practically carried Blackburn on his back! If Wigan was the Ali Al Habsi show then Blackburn was the Junior Hoilett special. I think he's better than a lot of other names we've been linked with and could be an absolute bargain too! Speed, power, trickery, not afraid to shoot, that's the type of player Arsenal need - another winger like Ox.

you support brighton i swear?

chelsea will probably be in a dogfight with arsenal for 3rd next season. maybe spurs too if they manage to keep their players

Well I mean his other buddy Kompany is at City, so it's up to which buddy he prefers. I like Hoilett too, but considering the wingers we already have, I wouldn't consider signing a winger as a priority by any means.

Would absolutely love to sign Hoilett but I'd expect Blackburn to slap a price tag in the region of £10m on him and I would rather not be held to ransom...

Drogba is leaving

Yeah he is :( But let's face it he might be a 'Big Game' player but he does not have the legs or stamina to perform in consecutive league matches. That's the very reason we finished 6th.That being said,he's obviously going to be benched for most of the league games if he stays so I guess it's the right thing to do.Chelsea preparing 50 mil bid for Falcao.....
