Who's a good, defenseive wall? Tangrowth or Skarory? Skarmory is a good spiker, which I don't have on my team, but I have a stealth rocker, and Tangrowth can Knock off opponents items, status them, and has good physical attacks to hit too. Which would be a better candidate? I have most of Tangrowth's weaknesses covered too, but he's suppose to be a wall. XD.

Skarmory is better but if your team works better for Tangy, use Tangy. You said you have most of Tangy's weaknesses plus it's good to see trainers use other walls beside Skarmory. I think you decided for yourself anyway.

Would this be an ok ingame team for Battle Tower?

Raichu Leftovers
Subsitute
Focus Punch
Thunderbolt
Encore

Blissy Life Orb
Protect
Softboiled
Ice Beam
Toxic

Gengar Big Root
Giga Drain
Drain Punch
Psychic
Shadow Ball

I'm pretty sure natures don't really matter ingame or in the battle tower right? Apart from Raichu their not ev trained. And I think i'm just finding out that big root doesnt work for drain punch :/

also, how do you calculate damage for substitute?

Also uhh somewhere in this thread i heard that Life Orb hp loss is safe when you're in a substitute, but I'm pretty sure that isn't true.

I asked this quite a few pages back, but no one answered me... I'll try again:

"Where would I go to make a thread about fixing one of my Sceptile's movesets through use of the Mimic glitch with another person's help? Make the topic here in Stark Mountain or in the WiFi section?"

how ealry in the game can u get your manaphy egg (from ranger) do u need tha national dex first, or can you do it right when u start the game?

I'm pretty sure it's in the Sinnoh dex, but its just not required for getting the national dex. Sorta like Mew. Not sure on this though

EV training makes a huge difference (30+ stat points in two stats at level 50!!!), and natures make a pretty big difference (depending on base stat, you'll see 10-30 point difference in one stat, I'm guessing). IVs make less of a difference (~15 stat points), but you'll probably even feel a difference between 0-5 and 25-31 IVs.

The Battle Tower is extremely competitive (and frustrating, lol). I recommend coming at it with absolutely the best you can muster - otherwise you're just wasting your time.

Above all, though, experiment. See what kind of mileage you get in the Battle Tower yourself.

As in, how much HP it costs to make a substitute? It's your max_hp divided by 4, rounded down.

So if you have:
100 hp -> 25 hp sub
101 hp -> 25 hp sub
103 hp -> 25 hp sub
104 hp -> 26 hp sub

Or did you mean something else?

Skarmory is the "top-notch" defensive wall, but it'll be far more important to choose one with resists to fill in your team's holes. Or pick one for utility, like spikes or phazing.

how much EVs does it take to give a Frosslass 244 SP.ATK if you have 29 IVs inSp.ATK, and how much EVs does it take to Outspeed Salamence and Gyrados, if you have 31 IVs in SPD and is timid.
I would do this, but I don't figure out how serebii finds max stats, it all was comes out wrong for me

No, they are most definately not! Blissey's base HP is 255, and it's max stat at level 100 is 714 [255 x 2 = 510].

This is the stat formula for DP, taken from the "D/P information/resources thread":

Stat Formula:
Stat = floor((floor((Base * 2 + IV + floor(EV / 4)) * Level / 100) + Num) * Nature)
where: Num = Level + 10 if the stat is HP, and 5 otherwise.

I dont know exactly what you mean by "IVs cut in half at 50", but this might be able to help.

When a male pokemon is in the breeding centre with an egg move and it gets replaced automatically via level up, does the baby still hatch with the egg move?

Also, can parents pass on egg moves? Male Eevee with wish breeds with a female eevee, does wish get passed on?

When a male pokemon is in the breeding centre with an egg move and it gets replaced automatically via level up, does the baby still hatch with the egg move?

Unfortunately, no. To stop this happening, place the egg move at the bottom of the roster, and keep checking back as it learns new moves [use a pokedex somewhere for a list], and move it back to the bottom.

Also, can parents pass on egg moves? Male Eevee with wish breeds with a female eevee, does wish get passed on?

Yes, as long as it's the male with the moves you want to be passed on, it will work.

O.o math confuses me. so What is floor? Is it base stats?

Floor means you round down, ceiling would mean you'd round up.

Yes on both.
