You need to replace each letter with the following letter on the alphabet

you get:
[00] MYBROTHER
[01] CRASHKEYS (Ku-ra-shu-ki-zu, Kurashikis)
[02] FREEZSOUL (Free the Soul, Z is pronounced like 'the')
[03] CLAYDOLLS / MYRMIDONS

We don't have a general 3DS buyer's guide, do we? I figured we could use one to put in the OP.

GREAT / DEFINITELY
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D
Super Mario 3D Land
Mario Kart 7
Kid Icarus: Uprising
Resident Evil: Revelations
Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask
Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward

GOOD / MAYBE
Harvest Moon 3DS: A New Beginning
Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance
New Super Mario Bros. 2
Paper Mario: Sticker Star
Rhythm Thief & The Emperor's Treasure
StarFox 64 3D
Tales of the Abyss
Theatrhythm Final Fantasy

I had one in the OP for a while, but the problem was people didn't bother to pay any attention to it and continued asking "WHAT ARE GOOD GAMES GUYS??" to the point where I decided to remove it in my last update. If the majority of us can come to an agreement I'd be happy to add a recommended games section back.

I have most of the games on that list.

Definitely put Tales of the Abyss on the great list. I picked it up on a whim and it's easily one of the best games I've played. It managed to get me into the tales series (I have ToP for the GBA, but it had a hard time keeping my attention).

Also why not list eshop games on that list?

I'm pretty glad the 3DS eshop is doing well though. Third party companies like Level-5 are doing a great job of getting quality titles on there, as well as the first party support. the VC needs the GBC Zelda oracle games though -_-

anyone here have experience with pokemon conquest? i am a big fan of that genre (i assume it to be like advance wars / fire emblem but with pokemon?) and i've heard that it was decently difficult. that plus the many strategy points that come with pokemon types could be awesome.

What's the point of setting a birthday on a Mii?

I attend StreetPass San Diego events, and actually saw (one of) the reasons you set birthdays on your Mii. In the StreetPass Mii plaza, there's an accomplishment for meeting someone's Mii on their birthday. (not like that's super-important though) That's all I know though, there might be more. Maybe I'll find out more on my birthday, I dunno.

I played it before, but it was a really short game. The extra quests at the end of the game weren't enough to keep me satisfied. Otherwise the game was pretty good.

Maybe I just didn't get very far into Pokemon Conquest's extra quests, but I wouldn't call it difficult by any stretch. My biggest pet peeve was that each Pokemon had one attack, there is no reason they couldn't each have had up to four. Still, it was a good game.

Thanks.

Do other systems have the guaranteed opportunity to meet all of my Miis, or do they just have a chance to meet a random one?

I am yet to see a ZE:VLR in a shop out here, despite it apparently being released in all zones.

Hoping this doesn't turn into a SMT Overclocked.

I had to order it in through my local JB Hi-Fi -- it's an exclusive (checked with Rising Star Games on their Twitter about this), and the store here had just opened and didn't have copies on release date. Don't bother looking in EB Games, etc.

If you can't get it -- other such JB Hi-Fi exclusives have run out of print or something --, then you'll have to import from the UK or some other PAL area.

Ok, so I have been experiencing some, 'difficulties' with my 3DS...

Yesterday I got my 3DS back from my mother. I got all my games and started playing Heartgold. After a while I got bored, so I wanted to play Street Fighter, but there was a problem, it didn't read it. I got scared shitless. After a while I decided to play Mario Kart, which my 3DS did read. I tried Ocarina of Time too, and it read it normal. Then I decided to play Black, read it fine. BUT, I tried putting my Pearl version, and it didn't read. I also tried my Mystery Dungeon game, and it didn't read it also.

I noticed something, Black and Heartgold are read very well. Pearl, and Mystery Dungeon isnt. Ocarina of Time and MK7 are read fine. Street Fighter isn't. What do HG, and Black have in common? They're both a shade of dark. Mystery Dungeon and Pearl are the normal gray shade, and it isn't read very well.

It's quite a mind puzzler if you ask me.

I'm looking at all kind of solutions before I even try using the 'R' word.

I've seen in on JB's website; apparently it's on the NDS E-shop too.

did you try blowing into it

So is Yoshi's Island ever going to be available to people who weren't a part of the Ambassador Program? I got a 3DS for Christmas and I've always wanted this game, but it doesn't seem to be on Virtual Console.

<stuff about ds being broken>

I've had the same problem. The only game that has ever done that, at least for me, is my Pearl game. This is probably because pearl made it through a public swimming pool (it's still alive today, though). DS carts are fairly well idiotproofed, actually, but try and see if a light swab with alcohol on the contacts will fix anything.
