It stays the same below.

And Too Hungry, the EV berries only reduce to 100 if the Evs are 110 or over. After that, they reduce by ten.

@Too_Hungry35
Depends on the Pokemon you're using to breed. Each stat of the offspring Pokemon, to a limit of 3 stats, is randomly inherited from either parent. So if you have two perfectly EVed (hacked) Pokemon, you have alot higher chances of getting a perfect Pokemon.

But if you have one good Pokemon and one decent one, I guess you can get something good in a day of breeding, pending on your luck. But if you want say, 31 Attack 31 Speed Infernape, be sure that the parents (any combination of them) have 31 Attack or 31 Speed.

1. Does Night Shade/Seismic Toss deal more or less damage based on weakness/resistances? Or always 100 HP worth?
2. I'm guessing suicide with Flare Blitz / Brave Bird, etc... is covered by the Explosion Clause?

Night Shade does not hit Normals, and Seismic Toss does not hit Ghosts. The damage is always equal to your level.

there is nothing like a "normal person" and "good IVs" is a term which differs for every battler: you could see me as a freak as I aim for 3 flawless IVs + the other 2 that matter 25+...and the time it takes, following the breeding guide you should know how long it approximately takes to get a particular combination, but in the end it really depends on luck, sometimes it takes a week, sometimes 2 days, I once got lucky with an adamant growlithe with 31hp/at/speed and 27def/28sD or something like that under 10 eggs

1. night shade/seismic toss do damage depending on the users level not always 100, weakness/resistance don´t affect them besides shade failing against normal types and toss against ghost types (unless you forseight before)

2. I don´t think so

Thanks guys for answering the Seismic Toss question.

@Robo Mike
2. Explosion Clause? It applies to recoil moves?
Well, I'm wondering if it should, since fainting like an emo from self-inflicted recoil seems to cause draws as well when both players are down to the last team member.

Sorry, can't edit in my current state.

@Robo Mike
1. Yeah, Seismic misses on Ghosts and Night Shade on Normal.
2. Anyways, I believe the Clause only applies to guaranteed KO-yourself moves like Explosion, Selfdestruct, Perish Song, Destiny Bond; I'm guessing because you KO first, at least recoil moves deal damage before you faint yourself.

Can you teach a Pokemon a move listed as an Egg Move with a TM?

For example, give Ralts the Will-O-Wisp TM instead of learning it via breeding.

Only with some Pokemon.

Unfortunately, Ralts must be bred with Will-O-Wisp, as it or it's evolutions cannot learn it via TM. Same with Vulpix and Energy Ball. It's pretty silly when you think about it, but it's the truth.

I hear you get the Explosion TM from the game corner, getting 10 straight clefairy's in a bonus round or something like that. Is there some kind of trick to doing this that I should know about?

Not really. The only one I can think of is that when the moon turns red, DON'T stop the reels in the order that Clefairy points to, as it will shorten the bonus round.

Other then that, just listen to the Clefairy and hope it sticks around for 10 bonus rounds.

hey, say i had a male pokemon with an egg move.. and i bred it with a ditto.. will the offspring have the egg move?
1. I edited your sentence so people would understand and to answer your question, yes I believe so.

EDIT: Beat to it by Mario

2. What is Competitor?
and
3. Does Trick Room affect speed or does it just change who goes first?

I received a Japanese Chimchar (or Hikozaru, rather) that I suspect has high IVs. If I breed it with my Ditto holding an Everstone, will the nature still be passed on?
