This is probably the most noobish question since "HOW DO I MAKE THE MEWTHREE CODE WORK"...if the opponent has a Substitute out and I use Roar, does it force the opponent out, or does the Substitute block it? And if it does chase them away, does the Substitute remain?(similar to Baton Pass)

No, it doesn't block it. I learned that the hard way, same battle I learned how much a Stealth Rocking Swampert can piss somebody off.

I hear you get the Explosion TM from the game corner, getting 10 straight clefairy's in a bonus round or something like that. Is there some kind of trick to doing this that I should know about?

What level should my team be when I fight the Elite Four?
- Infernape
- Staraptor
- Luxray
- Lucario
- Tentacruel (surfer, considering dropping for Azelf once I don't need Surf)
- Roserade

I beat the elite four with a 6 level 50s. I was extremely lucky because I had horrible pokemon. The only reason I won was because I got a lucky miss from Lucian`s Alakazam`s Focus Blast on my skuntank. The pokemon I used were:
skuntank
medicham
crobat-fly won the game for me thank you.
luxray
gastrodon
Uxie-did nothing, just stalled while I revived

Keep in mind that I barely won. The Garchomp at the end killed my entire team twice before I finally killed it. (I had revives). I think that level 50-55 is fine, my friend beat the entire elite four with max revives, 5 ratatas and a level 60 gengar with hypnosis and dream eater. Infernape comes in real handy, so does staraptor. If you don`t already know, most of the elite four pokemon have sitrus berries and the elite four are judicous in their use of full restores, if you don`t think that you can kill a pokemon completely in one shot, whittle it down a bit then use a powerful move or they are just going to heal it to full health on you. If it were me, I would drop tentacruel for azelf as soon as you can.

Now onto my question. I just caught Cresellia (FINALLY!) and as I suspected, mine stinks. I want to soft reset it. I was wondering, what exactly what that will do? Will it affect any of my other pokemon? and Hwow exactly do I do it. (L, R, Start, Select thing).

What's faster... (Assuming 31 IV in each stat, and max Speed EV)

-Timid Gengar with Lefties.
-Chocie scarf Adamant Heracross.

I am not exaclty sure, but I think that the choiuce scarf hera is, because choice scarf boosts speed considerably. Ask around, I do not know for sure, but a 270-290 speed Hera is probably faster.

Timid Gengar at max IV's and EV's runs at 350 spd. Adamant Heracross, if at max IV's and EV's with choice scarf runs at 403 spd. Therefore, Heracross is faster.

Oh, okay thanks. I went to the huge department store in veilstone and they didn't sell any there so I figured I'd ask here because I assumed it was a specific place. Alright, thanks.

Hey, that's not nice. I thought "with both" meant "both hits".
Eh, I'm not big on "nice".

Soft Resetting is the same as turning the DS off and turning it back on, but faster. If you already caught it, you're out of luck, as its IVs are saved. I think Cress' IVs are set the instant you see it on the Isle before it flees, so unless you have the game saved before then, Soft-Resetting does nothing for your Cresselia at all.
Sorry. The point of soft resetting is to re-randomize the IVs so that you get better ones. You usually save right before encountering the foe you want to soft reset on.

Okay, how do you breed ice punch and dragon dance onto totodile? I was thinking about using a male dragonite caught on LG/FR, trade to Emerald, use the move tutor for ice punch, the Pal Park to D/P, to breed with feraligator. But, is there an easier way, considering that I don't have LG/FR?

what route has the most amount of berry planting spots?

I usually just go around most of the map 2x a day: Once in the morning and once before bed (Damp mulch, ofc). I would have to say the spots with the most berry spots are:

- Survival Area + the place to the right of that across the water (lol @ I forget name). Between the 2 of them, there are 16 spots.
- Pastoria City. To the left of the city on the rain route, in Pastoris, and above to the right, 4 spots each = 12 berry spots.
- From Hearthome to Solaceon. 4 next to the Berry Master's house, 4 on the route towards Solaceon, 4 IN Solaceon, and 4 right above Solaceon, which = 16.
- Each side of Celestial Town (Whatever, after you get rid of those Psyducks blocking your way), there are 4 Berry spots. The 4 on the right are north right before the first bridge, hiding in the fog.

I do these routes + the 6 above Orebourgh or whatever, which is a total of 58. So whatever you do, you get at least 100 Berries.

Is there some way to work the Safari Zone? Im trying very hard to catch a Croagunk with Black Sludge on it, but it seems to be a waste of time considering the seeming ease that the Pokemon within the safari zone run off. It seems a waste of time to throw mud or bait, particularly bate since all it seems to do is give them a chance to run away before I throw the safari ball, and then one when it fails. Does my perception tell me something different than the hard numbers and facts, or am I right, and it's just simply better to throw safari balls and forget the other options? I mean... the options have to be there for a reason, and if there is none... why are they there?

Also, whilst I'm asking... I have a friend using Action Replay. If he uses the AR, will that cause any ill effect to my own DS/Pokemon Cartridge? I can't remember where I read it, but I read that it leaves data on your system and the system can be pulled from competitions or other Poke'events because of the corrupt data. Any truth to that?

you can try a compouneyes ability lead. butterfree, yanma etc. when i was searching for blacksludge, i just threw the balls. it was either a catch or the pokemon fleeing. it was a one turn thing. maybe i was a bit lucky(4th croagunk had blacksludge)...good luck. XD

the AR shouldnt damage your game as long as your friend doesnt use too much codes and stuff. And yes, it can be pulled from competitions.

where can i get those power reducing berries?
