Performance against admirals has nothing to do with VAs at all-- since Admirals are soooooo much higher than any VA not named Garp, there's no basis of comparison.

Also you are again totally ignoring/missing the point that what makes Jinbe a "master" of Fishman Karate is not the # of tiles, but his mastery over even atmospheric and bodily water. Hack is no where near Jinbe's league, because his punch didn't have any atmospheric waves-- Jinbe wouldn't have even closed the gap to punch. He would have punched from father away because his shock waves would be dangerous enough.
 
Yeah don't see Bartolomeo fodderizing Jimbe. First of all, # of tiles is probably a measure of strength alone and doesn't take into account things like Speed, and as Chou brought up, ability to hit from afar. Even if Bart were the stronger fighter, Jimbe has enough experience to at least hold him off while he tries to figure out Bart's DF ability or whatever that barrier thing is (if that's CoA, then Bartolomeo is frighteningly strong). Also, read this from someone else, but could Bart be half fishman/half human? It would explain the grotesque appearance, as well as his attempts to prove the masses to be a herd of rabbling idiots/hypocrites.

The way Oda set this up, he's purposefully trying to impress and mystify us with this ability of Bart's. I really doubt he's going to turn around and say "Guess what guys, it's just Haki-- something you already knew about."

There are all sorts of crazy abilities in OP that are not either-- Rokushiki abilities were like "WTF!?" at first. Nami can make herself invisible-- which totally screws with people. Franky has lasers. Still don't know how the fuck zoro makes flying cutting attacks, or Kinemon produces fire. In any case, it's more than thinkable that this is something totally different-- a special ability of Bart's, or some new type of power that Oda will introduce through Bart.

I'm ready for something new.
 
Not gonna lie, I hope that Luffy takes a more serious approach to these fights and begins strategizing, even if just a little bit, since he's got everybody and their mother after his hide. He's not fighting comedy relief weaklings anymore, he's fighting against people who will more than likely do anything to kill him, and maybe even overpower him.
 
on a side note, pretty nice to see the crowd cheering for Hack instead of treating him like the Saboady crowed treated Hachi.
 
In this particular case though I think it's more of a hatred for Romeo than a love for Hack. Half fishman half human would be interesting, hybrids are in general stronger than the original two. If thats the case it may be something unique to him. I'm more impressed with Don transforming in the middle of his fight with luffy though

Elizabello II's punch was a bit overrated however, WB had stronger punches who still didn't manage to kill Akainu from point black range.

Bart's dgaf attitude is pretty awesome though. I doubt Bart's referring to BB since he already has Burgess entering so it's probably Sabo if I had to guess.

I'm getting the feeling that Dressrosa is gonna be a reeeeaally long arc.
 
Yea pana, assuming the tournament doesnt get interrupted, we still have blocks c and d, the "playoffs" with the DD family members and then the finals with diamante. and then after that we have all of franky + toy factory part, sanji + girl part, zoro + fairies part, nami / momo / brooke / chopper / mysterious person on ship part, and then robin / law / usopp / cc meeting DD + fujitora / marines / possibly cp0? intercepting them part...sure some of those could get interrupted / merge but it's still alot to resolve.

I wouldn't be surprised with another 50 or 60 chapters on dressrosa alone...and then again I wouldn't be surprised with a mere 20 more :P

Also didn't expect pana to be a sabo nut hugger :P (just kidding but lol)
 
I'm guessing Kaidou. Bartolomeo doesn't seem like a "Big Mom type", since BM's crew appears to be based off Alice in Wonderland. I guess King wasn't a complete joke, but no way a punch that can't touch Bart would do anything to the likes of Kaidou and Akainu.

Going to go ahead and predict that Luffy will get pummeled by Don Chinjao because he wont use his Devil Fruit powers. He made a promise to Franky to not reveal his identity, and Luffy always keeps his promises. They'll probably fight later on in the arc, with Zoro/Sanji facing off against Chinjao's grandsons.

EDIT: Oh yeah, and Ricky confirmed to be Kyros beyond a shadow of a doubt.

If Luffy can't beat Don Chinjao right now even without a massive reveal of his df powers, I'd be shocked. This is a guy who has superhuman speed / strength without his df powers and mastered haki to a point in 1.5 years where RAYLEIGH felt fine leaving him on his own...

Sorry, but some old man (even if he was worth 500 mil) who headbutts ain't stoppin Luffy now

I was gonna ignore the need for a block C prediction pool but if you others think Don Chinjao is somehow beating luffy...maybe we should :P

That turned out so vanilla/predictable; I'm basically disappointed.

First Barty's power is nothing more than some other cheesy fruit, and despite his "growht" bellamy gets KO'd by a circus side-show trick fighter.

lame. Sorry Oda, but it's lame.
 
Naw I'm pretty sure I'm the only person here who thinks Chinjao will beat Luffy. There's a chance that Dofla wont even fight Luffy and will instead be taken out by Law, there's a ton of unrevealed backstory between the two, although chances are this will be more of a WiperxEnel situation. A guy with a 500+million bounty, even if he's no longer in his prime, is definitely capable of beating Luffy without his DF.

If you're going to do the pool though, put me down for Fighting Bull. :)
 
Luffy's identity is pretty much already revealed though thanks to the Don. I wouldn't be surprised to see him use his DF powers / rip his disguise and shout 'I'M GONNA BE KING OF THE PIRATES!' or something ridiculous.

It is luffy after all lol
