League of Legends: Let's Talk About uhhh??

Yes. Ashe over Ezreal.

Ashe is the second strongest AD in the game right now behind Vayne (and Vayne isn't even that far ahead of her).

As for Ryze top, it is utter and complete garbage with the range nerfs. Champions he previously had some hope of kiting/poking in lane (Renekton/Elise/Kennen/Jax/Darius) can now get their gap closers off/outrange him and utterly destroy him. Ryze top is, if anything, even worse than Ryze mid is now.

I just don't understand why Riot nerfed one of their most popular and mascot champions into oblivion. He was never even one of the top three or so strongest mids (Kassadin/Orianna have been stronger than Ryze in every stage of the game since probably forever and yet haven't been touched).

Why do you think she is strong now. I wouldn't say she is weak... but she is definitively not top tier. Most adc's have gapclosers now and easily outtrade her.

vayn + cait r easily top 2

becuse vayne = batman
n u cant even touch cait, she just range leash u all day omg

ashe is low dmg, no escape, but > ez

hey guys hey what the fuck happened to varus yo

Ryze can still top fine. He didn't out-range half the gapclosers out there to begin with and Rune Prison still disengages as well as it always has, so I don't think it hurts him too badly in typical matchups there. And hey, if Vlad can deal with having even shittier range in exchange for being a relatively tanky mage, so can Ryze! ... Poor UncleSam. ;( it's k you can join the morgana club, it's been a lonely place since seasn 3 started

Sam's fulfilling the "wah they nerfed my favorite champ i'm butthurt" role pretty well atm lol

Also Jebus's list should include Liss for competitive play, Kassadin for solo queue roaming, Janna for support.

wheres eve on your list jebus? shen + eve is downright scary, and even without shen, the pressure eve puts on the map early game outclasses any other champ, not to mention opps have to spend more gold buying pinks
oh yeah eve oops

eve definitely super strong (probably the best solo queue jungler). shen+eve is really popular now after gaining traction in OGN

ryze isn't really played anymore after 3.10 either so i probably shouldn't have included him in that list

it was made quickly and not a ton of thought was put into it

EDIT: afaik liss and aatrox are seen a lot in EU but the list i made is heavily based off of the current korean metagame. kass/liss/others are also very strong in a solo queue context

after watching dig vs curse from day 1 of this week i was kind of surprised to see how easily zed got shut down mid game due to curse having double ap solo lanes and thus just building zhonyas on both kennen and karthus to negate the damage coming out from death mark...then again zed still kennen 1v1 late game, under a tower, even despite zhonyas and kennen ulti o_O

also i just transferred to eu west server due to me moving to sweden yesterday and it already feels like the level of skill there is lower than na

BECAUSE HE WAS THE MOST RETARDED CHAMPION IN THE GAME HOLY CRAP HOW COULD RIOT KEEP SOMEONE SO BROKEN FOR SO LONG I'M SO GLAD HE'S BAD NOW

Anyone ever watch EU lcs? I prefer the NA scene but I support EG since I basically learn't everything I know in mid from Froggen's stream. I hope EG can come good again, they had a good day yesterday. Fnatic look to have problems... the entire season they have first picked Elise, too predictable and SK exposed it.

Since Kassadin and Orianna could actually control space.

With coordinated teams they were better AP Mages than pre-nerf Ryze was.

As for Thorns...if you seriously believe that then idk what to say, Ryze had so many problems even before the nerfs that he never even approached breaking 50% win rate on the NA server. He just had the oomph late game against some comps to make up for it. Orianna, Anivia, Kassadin, Zyra, and a host of other APs could make him useless all game through zone control though, he was a situational pick. Now he's just trash.

Yeah, I do. Really happy EG clinched vs. ATN. =] EG are my team as well, so that's the main reason I watch; Krepo is my favourite player and I was inspired a lot by him especially when I was new in S2, and everyone else on the team has grown on me a lot too. They can be CLG-style heart attack inducers but they've really stepped it up recently, especially Snoopeh and Yellowpete. It's nice to see people finally giving Pete some attention; he's a quiet achiever and has been overdue for a day in the sun for awhile.

Krepo's been on point with those Crescendos lately. Speaking of quiet achieving, I feel like Krepo is getting nowhere near enough attention for his Sona ults; Froggen shines too brightly. haha

It's k I'm very salty about the Ryze nerf too. As my main from Lv.3 till even now, I've been there since he had 675 range on his Q. When his range was first nerfed to 650 (mind you, Riot gave him a fair amount of extra damage to more than compensate - and most people did not know this), the range difference was very noticeable, but ultimately it did not matter a whole lot when he does his combo as it would be executed at Rune Prison range. I believe that Riot finally managed to overnerf Ryze this time around. The 650 -> 600 range change completely screwed how I space last hits, poke, and follow up after Rune Prison wears off. In one instance, I accidentally stole a penta from valk with an autoattack that I normally would not have been able to pull off had Ryze's spell range had been longer.

It's unlikely that I will ever give up fully on Ryze, but for now I don't feel like getting used to his new ranges. Also Riot lied. Patch notes said that he got base MS buff, but he's still 335.

This patch officially blows.

On the topic of LCS - CLG's performance made me cry inside (you could argue that it quite possibly placed them in the easier bracket @playoffs though). Seems like Doublelift -and maybe pretty much the rest of the team- did not recover from the tilt that Velocity and C9 caused, and it was saddening to see the whole team just fall apart after such a controlled performance on the first game of super week and their last match vs TSM.

Curse is forever destined to be 4th though, apparently.
