Pokémon XY General Discussion

I've updated my post with several more codes now. Since this is a fresh page, I think I should post them again so more people see them.

EDIT: Apparently you can only use 24 codes total right now, so ignore the first two if you've just started.
EDIT AGAIN: It doesn't actually matter if you unlock all of the pokemon on the site or not. You still get the max amount of entries. Skip the first two if you really don't want to miss those wallpapers and ringtones (lol).

XY1012 is the first code.
XY738A is a free entry.

X9K3 is Malamar.
X3K5 is Chespin.
Y8P4 is Pancham.
X4Q8 is Dedenne.
Y2P6 is Noivern.
X7Q5 is Honedge.
X7C9 is Helioptile.
X5H8 is Fennekin.
Y4L6 is Skrelp.
Y5B6 is Spritzee. (gives you a free TCGO booster pack if you're into that)
Y9D8 is Gogoat.
Y8H7 is Yveltal.
X8G5 is Inkay.
X2R4 is Bunnelby.
Y6J5 is Sylveon.
Y3S7 is Skiddo.
X6P4 is Froakie. (gives you another booster pack)
Y3F2 is Pangoro. (thanks PME)
X5W8 is Fletchling.
X5T3 is Swirlix.
X8T9 is Litleo.
Y6V8 is Talonflame.
X4C7 is Clauncher.
X7M4 is Xerneas.
A bunch of these codes are working anyone else having issues?

There have been numerous reports saying that the "not-original-6" codes aren't working. Something about the code not existing outright. I guess they found out about the Internet and that their codes were too easy to figure out. The links to volumes 3-5 of BW don't work anymore. Interesting.

Did anyone else tear up watching the Charmander line evolve through the generations? No? Just me? Well then *grabs tissue*

NOW. Seeing Dedenne enter battle and actually attack something, I've fallen in love with that little nuzzley bundle of cuteness. Hoping for an evolution, but no hardship if it doesn't evolve. I still used Pachirisu and Emolga In-game in their respective generations. IMO, Dedenne fits nicely into the Electro-rodent family.

For the sake of having a balanced team though. I need to decide whether to have Dedenne or Spritzee. *SIGH* -walks away from life-

Since knowing Spritzee's possible plague-doctor origin, it never looks as adorable anymore it creeps me out...

Food for thought:

  • Generally it's regarded mons in the trailers have 0 EV/IV's
  • Lv100 Mega Charizard/Garchomp have 360/382 HP respectively
  • Regular Lv100 Charizard/Garchomp have 266/326 with 0 EV/IV
  • Therefore Mega Charizard has over 125 HP base and Mega Garchomp has 138 HP base
  • Giratina and Lugia just spat their drink in your face over those values.

Any idea how much base HP Mega Venusaur has?

While I think that is awesome, they may have IVs or EVs. If they got that is freaking awesome

Why do you think they have 0EV/IVs?

Max HP regular Charizard also has 360 HP. Thus it is possible that Mega Charizard has the same base HP with max EVs/IV in HP.

A regular Garchomp with 31 IV and 100 HP EV also has exactly 382 HP.

Why wouldn't they mention something as huge as Charizard getting its base HP increased from 78 to 125+? If this isn't worth mentioning, but it's worth mentioning that M-Charizard has increased SpA, how huge an increase must it have in SpA? From 109 to 156 (same increase as HP according to your calculations) or even higher?

I think they have (very close to) the same base stat in all stats other than the ones that have been mentioned to increase/decrease. IOW M-Garchomp "only" has an increased Atk&SpA and a decrease in speed.

So, I can't remember exactly how we got alle the information from previous gen, but I do know that suddenly - shortly before BW's japanese release, we had a list with every new Pkmn, their abilities and base stats. I think it was because people were able to look into the game files etc. Is it possible that we get a similar list a few days before X/Y's release? I'm asking because it seems to be much harder to crack the 3DS (?), or are those two completely different subjects (extracting data from X/Y cartridges and not being able to crack the 3DS atm?)??

alternate ending

nothing much more to add but the fact that hot damn i want this game and no confirmation on AR battles has me disappointed :(
Damn, I've been looking for that vid, just couldn't remember the name.

I've yet to watch the vids posted, but with all this talk going around I probably should soon.

Fenneken gets wish? Hm... what would be some acceptable natures for such a pokemon? It clearly is a special attacker so maybe modest? Quiet? Timid? UUUUUgh, I hate not knowing. If only I could somehow see an overall stat spread first.
Maybe I should just shoot for a neutral nature to be safe.

Why do you think they have 0EV/IVs?
Not discounting anything but it's been noted several times in earlier trailers that most things that have shown up had no IV/EV's by default so it was like I said a harmless entertaining thought if you followed the trend. Really M-Evo's are still up in the air, they may simply be a stat re-distribution or a outright stat boost.

Herocross Well, we can already obtain the save file from a huge number of 3DS games. I don't think X and Y will take TOO long to crack. Maybe a month at most.
