The NVE sound seems like it may just be the sound of a move making contact? Because electric isnt NVE on weavile

Well...the former is a given. But the latter makes a ton of sense - there are countless items you could give to Weavlie, maybe Tailwind was up, yadda yadda yadda...it's probably not the best idea to read too deeply into this subject matter, given how little we know about the circumstances. Trying to dissect a little snippet will be even worse than when we tried to analyze *banned subject matter* because of all the changes that could have occurred to Cute Charm or Drizzle or anything.

I doubt that we'll get any more official announcements, although corocoro is due to leak the day before release, so maybe we'll get a dex drop right before release.
 
The recent Corocoro was the last we had before the release. Still, if you think about it, we had a lot more information that the previous gens. I think we should be content with that fact.

Oh yeah, that will definitely come. I think it arrived a week earlier than the game for Black and White? I'm a little hazy on that, probably because I proceeded to play 72 hours of Black in one week.

I do wonder though...some people got GTA V early because of companies shipping too early...I wonder if a similar situation will happen with the actual X and Y games, and not just the dex. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Heh, don't worry. Chances are I'll have gotten chespin to stage three by then. I'll be around, assuming this thread isn't locked after the gen drops..

I believe that the dex leaked one week before either the release if either the jap. Or U.S. version, but I just can't remember which.

Edit oh wait sorry that's a double post, isn't it?

^Seeing as Black & White were released in Japan almost half a year before they came to America, it would have surprised me greatly if the Pokédex managed to stay hidden until a week before the US release...

Apparently a new Pokémon that appears to look like the evolved form of Amaura has been leaked by Jeux Video, according to Serebii. Some images are below.

So, this is basically confirmed, but is it the Amaura evo? Probably. What do you guys think?

It works, got a bit darker blue and no smile, as well as extended frills and more diamond/ice crystal formations. Eyes became smaller too, and tail has curled considerable.

I'm hoping it's real, it looks great. It seems like that big gaming sites get exclusives, like Pyroar and this one. I like that, as I was a bit afraid that this was going to be a long three weeks without any news.

I wouldn't say that looks like a ground type, would you? Maybe they're just emphasizing it's ice type as it'll probably be found as a fossil in those mountains or something. OrGamefreakcouldbelyingtousabouttheirrocktypeit'sallaconspiracyThanksObama
 
Looks quite legit, but I'm a teeeny bit sceptical still. Fakers have been more and more elaborate and skilled by the generation, it's harder than ever to tell a good fake from the real deal.

Also, is Amaura/Whateverthisthingiscalled the first instance of Sugimori art using gradient colours? I've never seen that before.
