Pokémon XY Leaks

C'mon who can't say that they wish for their favorite Pokemon to get a MegaEvo... I'm hoping for a MegaJellicent, in my opinion he is just one of those badass Pokemon; for most of the recent posters Aggron or Tyranitar are the badass Pokemon. I'm pretty sure that before the new year there will be some DLC that introduces a small whole new area that allows for catching an old legendary and for finding more Megastones... After all, with such a great game that changes the dynamic so much why wouldn't they want a break to "rack some dough" and indulge in their success.

My Opinion:
And for all those expecting more new Pokemon and Legendaries... Why? How is it that you are not satisfied with some 375 fully evolved Pokemon and about 20 legendaries, if you seek more "power" than I suggest looking at some everyday power houses like Hitmonlee or even Alakazam, Pokemon that are just as much Pokemon as Kyogre and Palkia.

really, it's all relative. I've never really seen a large fanbase for Mawile, for instance, at least until the popularity arguments started cropping up
Different perceptions I guess.

This does make me wonder how one might gauge the popularity of something. Short of a rather extensive survey I can't really think of anything...
Forget a cure to cancer, these are the questions science should be answering.

I wonder where they would go with MegaAggron stat-wise.
I'm thinking major boosts to its SpD and Atk along with improved SpA while it remains slow.
The Dragon/Steel typing someone suggested would be amazing.
Mayor Atk boost, Def & SpD boost, Speed and Hp remain the same, it's got a good special movepool so it might get a boost there, without Rock typing though it looses that wonderful STAB Rock Head but it wouldn't be so bad if it changes it's ability

Mawile seems to be massively popular in Japan mostly, I seriously have fought tons of them in GBU single matches. Along with the Eevees, they're everywhere. Japanese love cute looking pokémon, so it's only natural

Does anyone remembers the poll that was made a while ago? The one to determine one special event Pokemon that were the top spots had Ditto, Pikachu, Arceus, and I don't know who else, maybe the top mons are getting MEvos

If Pikachu gets a Mega Evolution I will punch somebody.

Raichu on the other hand would actually please me.
Poor raichu gets so overlooked thanks to pikachu's mascot status...

Obligatory Somalia joke.

Pikachu would need a tremendous stat boost to make MEvo more useful than the Light Ball.

Dragalge is a rare case of a dual typed pokemon changing type via evolution. The only others I can think of that do this are Scyther -> Scizor, Onix -> Steelix, and Kirlia -> Gallade (with the addition of fairy to the Gardevoir line)
It's possible I've been ninja'd by this point but; there's Pupitar -> Tyranitar.
Also; do we know that Ralts and Kirlia where retyped along with Gardevoir? They may just gain Fairy (or fighting) only upon evolution.

Ok, let me preface this post by saying I'm not trying to perpetuate the argument but rather satisfy curiosity.
It's occured to me that a semi-decent way to obtain rough (very rough) estimates of the popularity (or at least notoriety) of a Pokemon might be to use Google Search and note the number of results.

Pikachu: 21,100,000
Charizard: 6,030,000
Mewtwo: 4,010,000
Eevee: 3,450,000
Absol: 2,510,000
Gardevoir: 1,280,000
Tyranitar: 1,090,000
Gyarados: 937,000
Aggron: 638,000
Mawile: 554,000
Venomoth: 344,000
Trubbish: 201,000
Vullaby: 107,000

These are the results I got, ordered from "fuckin way popular, dude" to "who gives a steaming shit". Make of these what you will. The results somehow increase when I turn safe search on, don't ask me how that works (Gardevoir went up to 1.9 million when I was expecting it to like... halve haha). It also doesn't account for other languages.
If we are to take these as fact (don't) Absol is apparently even more popular than Gardevoir, Tyranitar and Gyarados. Meanwhile, I appear to be wrong about Mawile.
But again, these results are by no means difinitive. I was just curious more than anything.

edit: I meant NOT! Not trying to perpetuate the argument! Aaaargh

Fair or not, I like it when Pokemon like Aggron and Tyranitar get Megas (or, heavily implied that they get Megas based on helium-filled evidence) because they're already at the end of a three-stage line, so it doesn't prevent them from ever getting a future evo (or at least one that doesn't require a sloppy retcon later).

I mean, in a perfect world stuff that actually needed a buff would get it, but there's more to this decision than just balance. And I know we're all thinking this, but I'm holding out for Mega Pachirisu. I shall call it Machorisu, and it will have all the cuteness of a hundred shar pei puppies and the ferocity of a thousand rabid shar pei puppies.

I'm saying the pre-evo was dual typed and one of it's types changed via evolution

Bug/Flying->Bug/Steel
Rock/Ground->Steel/Ground
Poison/Water->Poison/Dragon
Psychic/Fairy->Psychic/Fighting (Maybe)

Well in that context any pokemon shouldn't be surprising! You could make a case for any of them.

...Unless the pokémon is absolutely forgotten (Qwilfish), wouldn't be aesthetically pleasing (Blissey full of spikes and pointy beard), or would be irrelevant or break the game balance (Pidgeot/whoknows)

Aggron is (imo) decently popular and is all-around OK, only needing a further push to be competitively viable. Besides, he's ridiculously "extreme" already, so it fits with the whole Mega concept.

In fact, any pokémon that either Japanese (kawaii shit) or American (omg so manly) children would like has a greater than zero chance of MegaEvolving, with the other factors reducing the poll of choices. We will have some curveballs like Kangaskhan but, besides her and maybe Abomasnow, I don't think there's any current MegaEvo that wouldn't be considered "cool" to a degree already.

Now, if they ever MegaEvolve Corsola, I'll shut up.
