Yeah this is that trainer (one of the rivals, I thnk) Kanpachi was talking about

It's one of the reasons I think Goodra has a different criteria for evovling since that's a pretty drastic level difference before the 8th badge when Sligoo would have surficed

To be fair... Ghetis' Hydreigon was severely underleveled in B/W... it's not impossible that this trainers is as well

yeah goodra evolves at 70 I think and this one is 21 levels below that Lance's dragonite was only 5 levels below at least

Is it really a shame that it lack steel type.
 
The only benefit Avalugg could gain from being Ice/Steel is the potential to use Steel-type stab moves.

I'm fine with it being pure ice. Bad defensive typing but really good physical stats. I like gimmicky stat distributions like that.

Speaking of gimmicky stat distributions I actually really want more news on Carbink.

Ghetsis' Hydreigon was the final pokemon you fight in the storyline (or at least, one OF) and had like...10 or so level's difference?

This is a rival battle before gym 8 with a theoretical 21 level difference.

It could have a really shit hot move-pool which has yet to be discovered. Imagine it learning Shift Gear for example!

Looks like it's meant to stay in against special attackers and chase them out with mixed offense. But it's kind of slow.
 
Yeah those stats are nice I dig them. Hopefully gets some crazy moves to take advantage of Fridge. Like Explosion or Quick attack or something else sick like that.

Depending on it's base stats and how customisable it's move pool is I can see it being a beast in doubles, in fact - most of the Gen 6 mons I've seen have been "meh" for OU but show a lot of potential for doubles.

Makes sense considering doubles is the format for the tournaments.

Affection, maybe? It'd be odd if an Eevee was the *only* one using an evolution method.

Interesting word choice, I mean, since we're talking fossils here.

Shame that it's got greater Special Attack than Attack, a lot of Normal-type moves on the high-power end are Physical.. I mean, the difference isn't huge, but still.
Regardless, definitely still choosing Aurorus over Tyrantrum.
