I kinda feel bad for Spurs, here's another funny stat: AVB led Spurs to the highest win % since 1899. He also managed their highest ever PL points total, and set a record for the highest points ever without getting CL last year.
Honestly I think he's a bit unlucky, got Lamela who turned out to not be able to adjust to English life, some decisions went against him lately (a bit like Steve Clarke). But also a lot of bad management I guess, like inverting wingers with a poacher, buying a poacher striker when you already have one, forcing your big guy striker out while not replacing him, buying big guys in midfield when you already had 2, trying to play tiki taka with Sandro, Dembele, Paulinho midfield lol, not buying a left back, playing a sweeper keeper with captain slow Dawson, selling Caulker and having to play Capoue in defence... Ah well what can you do!
And yeah Bayern will be piece of cake when we finally bid 40m + £2 like Liverpool really wanted and we've sent Thierry Henry to tell Ribery to play shit and Gotze signs for Wenger cos he gave him candy and Ramsey turns green from all the steroids. You don't want to face Ramsey when he turns green. It's too easy, by my calculations Quarter Finals are in the bag!
edit: One question this does raise though is why can't clubs fire players? Say a player is doing shit, why don't they just fire him like with managers? I guess maybe cos they paid millions for the player and want someone else to pay them... But then why don't managers get bought and sold like players? It makes sense right?
edit2: And ooooo Swansea paired with Napoli!
edit3: Rory Delap has retired from professional football! The only player to ever get a 'throw in' assist, legend and will be truly missed. The dream of Stoke vs Barcelona was never realised...
