Suarez is going to be sold for at least 100m pounds if a team comes in for him and realistically only Real Madrid can afford him. If we make it into the top 4, that 100m gets multiplied by 1.5 and Suarez will probably want to stay. They set the standard with the bale fee and suarez is a better overall player than bale so do the math

if we make it into the CL, we will be in it to win the whole thing. we are liverpool

lol i know it sounds cheesy but i believe we always perform on the big occasion especially in the champions league. i take it you're too young to remember liverpool's famous european nights? we just perform in the champions league, it's our stage which is why I'm gutted that we're not in it. I want to be playing juve and real madrid, not hull city and swansea

Of course I remember Liverpool's dominance in the CL. Especially how we faced you 3 times in a row in that competition and when we lost on penalties in 2006/07, that was heartbreaking..

you need to be in the Europa league to play Juve... but Liverpool not there either ;)

and no one in thier right minds would pay £100m for Suarez, he is worth half that tops.

If Bale is worth 100m whilst not at any point being in the top 5 players in the world then Suarez is worth 150m, Liverpool won't get that much though based on his reputation and the likely fact that after he does something to England in the world cup and becomes a scapegoat for the english media he will want to leave again.

I do think Liverpool with get 4th and CL football though.

arsene should drop ozil for the bayern munich match

yes the guy is a magician but the only magic we see from him in big matches is him completely disappearing

lol you clearly haven't seen much of him.

Most of these games will depend on the state of the clubs in February.

Atletico Madrid are going to go far in this. 3rd best team in the world atm.

I kinda feel bad for Spurs, here's another funny stat: AVB led Spurs to the highest win % since 1899. He also managed their highest ever PL points total, and set a record for the highest points ever without getting CL last year.

Honestly I think he's a bit unlucky, got Lamela who turned out to not be able to adjust to English life, some decisions went against him lately (a bit like Steve Clarke). But also a lot of bad management I guess, like inverting wingers with a poacher, buying a poacher striker when you already have one, forcing your big guy striker out while not replacing him, buying big guys in midfield when you already had 2, trying to play tiki taka with Sandro, Dembele, Paulinho midfield lol, not buying a left back, playing a sweeper keeper with captain slow Dawson, selling Caulker and having to play Capoue in defence... Ah well what can you do!

And yeah Bayern will be piece of cake when we finally bid 40m + £2 like Liverpool really wanted and we've sent Thierry Henry to tell Ribery to play shit and Gotze signs for Wenger cos he gave him candy and Ramsey turns green from all the steroids. You don't want to face Ramsey when he turns green. It's too easy, by my calculations Quarter Finals are in the bag!

edit: One question this does raise though is why can't clubs fire players? Say a player is doing shit, why don't they just fire him like with managers? I guess maybe cos they paid millions for the player and want someone else to pay them... But then why don't managers get bought and sold like players? It makes sense right?

edit2: And ooooo Swansea paired with Napoli!

edit3: Rory Delap has retired from professional football! The only player to ever get a 'throw in' assist, legend and will be truly missed. The dream of Stoke vs Barcelona was never realised...

You gave me something to think about, NLI: what's gonna happen to Lamela? He wanted to play so there was a possibility he'd leave midseason, but AVB wanted him to stay (too bad Lamela didn't even play in the last game, what with Sandro's injury and Paulinho's red card). Maybe they'll let him go now? It's a shame really, AVB's Spurs was an interesting team to say the least—much better last season, obviously.

Lol at Drogba vs Chelsea, and it seems Arsenal's run in UCL is gonna be over soon. Still, very interesting pairings with Bayern - Arsenal and Man City - Barsa. Milan will need to change a lot to try and win against Simeone's Atleti, too.

Arsenal's February: Liverpool (a), Man Utd (h), Bayern (h). Arsenal's March: Bayern (a), Tottenham (a), Chelsea (a), Man City (h)

Arsenal's year is over let alone champions league.

Manchester City vs Barcelona
Olympiakos vs Manchester Utd
AC Milan vs Atletico Madrid
Bayer Leverkusen vs Paris Saint-Germain
Galatasaray vs Chelsea
Schalke vs Real Madrid
Zenit St Petersburg vs Borussia Dortmund
Arsenal vs Bayern Munich

Let us have another moment of silence for Arsenal.

City v/s Barca will should (let's not be too definitive after that drubbing from last season) be the closest contest

an unsurprising sacking imo, but also a bad one. It follows a theme of AVB not adapting his tactics well to the players he has in his squad. Although, I would say he needed more time to figure it out than he was given. Perhaps the next manager will benefit a lot from his work the way Di Matteo did as Chelsea won the champions following the sacking of AVB.

we'll have an interesting draw with bayern, arsenal don't lose much in germany supposedly so maybe there is some hope if we can get a result at home. We never get the easy CL fixtures (looking at you Manchester United). Be nice to see chelsea get destroyed by drogba, but more realisticly Chelsea will dominate galatasary. sometimes I think they try to figure out the most dramatic fixtures possible in these european competitions.

January signings please, dear god, January signings. Someone of some decent quality must be out there. That fatigue level is going to be in the shitter soon.

yea, lots of signings... for Man Utd
according to woodward, and everyone

but moyes will probable waste all the tranfer money on Baines :(

who is out there to buy though?

Wenger is looking at a 17 year old lol. He is really talented but is 17. Antonio Sanabria

Moyes is reported to be looking at the likes of Reus and Koke. Neither will happen.

Chelsea are in talks with Guarin's agents. We were linked with Falcao and Jackson Martinez but i doubt either will materialize. Martinez might come to the England in the summer. Chelsea will probably be his destination but only in the summer.
De bruyne is probably going to leave though which is a damn shame.(really was outstanding in the preseason and then we go and take willian from Spurs.

No idea what is going to happen with Liverpool and Man city really don't need anyone.

Nah, Matic for us fam Xhizors

Why would you say that about United? Özil signed for Arsenal when we thought that would never happen.
No idea about Liverpool, but City need a DM and a Left Back it seems.
