Oh man, here's hoping this delay is short. I don't understand why they don't have it 100% ready to go, they've had over 2 months. This amount of users should have been expected.

The problem is that preparing for the high amount that wants to play now wouldn't be economic because it would only be necessary for a duration of a few days, afterwards, the amount of people wanting to play at the same time will be a lot less, so they'll only prepare for that.

Blunder of the CENTURY: PokéBank

As the Research forum shows, it doesn't.

Bank isn't even the biggest blunder of the last year. At least, not if you live in the US.

Well, this delay is a shame. I spent the last week breeding a Ralts on White 2 in anticipation of Hyper Voice Megavoir, and now it's stuck down there. Yay…

So, is this going to lead to some sort of in-between to the XY meta and the Bank meta? The normal unobtainable pokemon are out there, it's just a matter of getting them, but the unobtainable legendaries (Heatran, the Kamis, Terrakion, and so on) will considerably trickier to get, and may as well reach pseudo-event status because of this.

Well, PokéBank was out for 2 days in Japan, so it's mathematically possible that at least one usable Heatran/Latios/etc passed through. Just like Wish Blissey and such, as long as it's possible to get one, it's allowed.

Now, if you're talking about PS vs. Rated Wi-Fi... yeah, Japan has the upper hand now and will roflstomp anyone on Rated. Not that this is news to anyone...

Well, I meant more of getting people to trade you their Latios/Heatran/whatever in the first place. A lot of people seem to want Suicune on the GTS, including everyone who's offering a Suicune. At least, that was the case last night.

True. Kinda weird though. Speaking of which, does anyone know if suicune gets a new move

Well I'll just wait and see then. Don't know what's up with the website though. Apparently that's a working OR code that they have. In the meantime, people probably shouldn't spread this assumption like it's a fact

It is not an assumption. The release date for EU/US versions of the application has been changed to TBD. Regardless, this is a topic to discuss the competitive ramifications of PokéBank changes, not to discuss the program itself. Please do not get the thread farther off topic than it already is.

Here's hoping that it's delayed to fix the horrible mishaps called "hack detection."

Anyway, back on topic. Meganium gets Petal Blizzard, which is somewhat of a boon, which allows it to run a physical set like Earthquake in conjunction to Leech Seed/Aromatherapy/Screens.

Will it make it better? Doubt it.

Really hoping they fix it before going online again. Nobody cares if legal Pokemon get through, but Pokemon with impossible stats, moves, and HAs will absolutely destroy the interactive environment this gen introduced.

Back during the Diablo 2 days, Blizzard would periodically (rarely) run a sweep of the servers, which would detect hacked items and simply delete them. It was a poor solution, but it could clear out the worst hacks that got through the last couple days.

I think the only unreleased HA that should be worried about are those that got changed, like Zapdos and Chandlelure. All of the starters are confirmed to have kept their HAs so it's only a matter of time before those are rampaging all over the place.
