Other Silly Things You've Seen On The OU Ladder: V2

1. Non-Mega Aerodactyl with Fly
2. Pikachu
3. Poliwrath with Bulk Up and Hydro Pump
4. Mega Gyarados that did not mega evolve until the very last turn of the game, even though it was on the field multiple times. With Earthquake, against my Rotom-W. Did Mold Breaker ever occur to him?

Ok where do I start? Well first off the opponent was using a Magnet Pull Magnezone without HP Fire and instead uses the shitty ass Hyper Beam, a mega Gengar using SHADOW CLAW on a BLISSEY!, Zen Mode Darmanitan and with only Physical moves and HAMMER ARM, non-mega Absol with SHADOW BALL AND X-SCISSOR yet no Pursuit hell not even a STAB move, a Tyranitar with no STAB moves and as an added bonus the person didn't even what STAB was -_-, Draco Meteor Haxorus, Kingdra with BOTH Ice Beam and Blizzard, Solarbeam Breloom, Umbreon with no item at all, using a Magmortar in OU, Jolteon with HP Electric! And used it on a Excadrill (why he stayed in against an Excadrill with a Jolteon is beyond me), Blaze Kick (Mega) Lucario cause literally we all know how useless that is, and Surf Garchomp. Yeah I've noticed that ever since XY came out a lot of noobs started appearing everywhere...

The thing that I seem to notice that seems odd is that sometimes people are very reluctant to switch when they really shouldn't be.

Earlier I won a game after, between Parting Shot and Intimidate, dropping a non-mega Heracross to a brutally low Attack, then letting my Mega Gyarados DD up in its face. He let it get to +2 before he wore it down far enough that I decided it was time to start going, and by the time the MegaDos went down it had scored 1HKOs on 4 Pokemon in a row.

What's up with this?

(Also, Brick Break on Heracross instead of anything threatening.)

CRUMBLER used Shadow Sneak!
The opposing Talonflame lost 37% of its health!
CRUMBLER was burned!
CRUMBLER lost some of its HP!

The opposing Talonflame used Fire Blast!

...

CRUMBLER was burned!

CRUMBLER was burned!

>.>

Flame Body Talonflame. #newmeta
I considered Flame Body Talonflame once, since I could bring it in on a bullet punching Scizor and maybe burn it.

Then I realized, f*ck man, priority brave bird.

Thick Fat Azumarill. The opponent said "For a 4 times resistance on ice and fire"
And this http://pokemonshowdown.com/replay/ou-88040868
That was my fully evolved LC team I put on the ladder for fun by the way

Sets up Mega Charizard X to +2 with DD, then uses Fire Blast.
Uses Munchlax in OU. That Munchlax has leftovers and not Eviolite. That Munchlax has Zen Headbutt.
Runs Swords Dance + Protect Empoleon...I thought, "it would not be the worst thing ever, if it did not run Protect", then i saw it using Hidden Power.

Too bad you OHKO'd Malamar before it could move and he forfeited before revealing Scrafty's set :[

I was scared he would topsy turvy me

I think I may start using a mono Quiver Dance team of Volcarona/Vivillon/Lilligant/Venomoth/Butterfree/Masquerain just to see the shit in the lower ladder. Why mono Quiver Dance? Cuz I can. And a Mono Prankster joke team was done by Ness and some others already.

Mixed Charizard... no Mega-Stone.
I went to smogon BW's movesets for charizard and found this set:
Swords Dance
-Acrobatics
-Swords Dance
-Earthquake
-Roost
So I guess mixed Zard is usable(?)
Also, why did the guy use Sunny Day Charizard, but used Blaze and not Solar Power?

It is usable in gen 5 NU and RU...Non-mega charizard is more than just outclassed in XY OU, it's crappy.

So with inspiration from the attract post, I think I was called a variety of names on an alt...

My response was... you know you could just switch...

but people kept baton passing the attract...

I might as well list the sily things in this battle.
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-87948231
  1. Using Infestation... then switching out.
  2. Mixed Charizard... no Mega-Stone.
  3. Looking at Damage calcs... His Azumarill must be horrid in offence and/or not have Huge Power. a propwer physical Azumarill could OHKO my Zoroark (No def EV's)
  4. Hidden Power Excadrill... Arceus above... It has 50 base SpA! Just... Why!?
  5. Superpower against Gardy... Tho's 4x weak and the Deoxys-Defence had Dark Pulse as well.
  6. Finally the only non silly but flipping lucky thing was Gardy surviving the hit with 5/340 HP... If that Charizard had gone mega maybe then my foe would have list...
Yeah... I thnk I meet the ones who caught the dumb.

1. viable tactic, guarantees a free switch as you cant switch the same turn
2. yeah bit silly, maybe he forgot to tick the mega button on several turns tho who knows
3. Sap sipper is a somewhat viable gimmick and its definitely unexpected
4. Yeah this is terrible
5. Im gonna guess he forgot your zoroark was gone and therefore that was the real gardy????
6. Even with all his 'Silly' plays he was 5hp away from beating you by a pretty big margin.... Tho your team isn't conventional OU by any means
