I wonder what will happen next.

Pidgeot cannot beat the Gastly trainers in Pokémon Tower. Neither can DUX. Oddish can cripple the Gastly temporarily with Sleep Powder, or permanently with Stun Spore, but has no way of dealing damage (neither Poisonpowder nor Cut affect Gastly). For the game to proceed, they would have to rely on an underlevelled Rattata, which might have been able to KO a weakened Gastly with Dig, or a slightly less underlevelled Drowzee, whose Confusion could beat down a Gastly too.

However, training would be required. A little grinding off the beaten path, using weak Pokémon to actually beat lots of wild Pokémon without accidentally hitting the Run button. And if they switch out too often, the Exp. would be spread too thinly for the training to matter much. It will be interesting to see if they ever manage to get a proper ghost buster up to shape.

^They got the Silph Scope several hours ago. So far, I think there have been 3 or 4 failed trips into Pokémon Tower, because Pidgeot fails to beat Gastly it can't run from (namely, those owned by trainers).

Also, Democracy + input lag in a battle is pure hell. It takes a good ten minutes to switch to the last Pokémon once the second last team member has been beaten.

I think it is very important to make an estimate of how long it takes your command to be executed because many people pressed when there are dialogs and windows..
