Other Silly Things You've Seen On The OU Ladder: V2

Having Hippowdon on a team with no other team members being ground rock or steel
Having both Smeargle and Breloom but not using either as a lead
Not so silly. Hippowdon is one of the best physical walls in the game, having no pokemon immune to sand is unfortunate but not that unusual.

Using neither Smeargle not Breloom as a lead could have been a result of the user trying to psych out their opponent. The opponent sees those 2, sends out a pokemon that can handle them, Smeargle/Loom user leads with a pokemon that threatens the intended anti-lead.

It may seem weird, but I honestly use a Shell Bell Talonflame. If you can get up a Swords Dance, that little bit of extra health you get after each attack actually helps. Don't judge me. xD
No judge intended :). It's just that this one was so random (brave birding a sub when it knows that it may get rock blasted) that shell bell just made zero sense in that case. I do feel that shell bell is underrated, though.

I recently lost to a team of all BrightPowder.

I hate those games, because when I face that kind of thing I automatically lose. My luck is so Absol-utely atrocious it hurts.

Ah, I've seen ES Suicune.
Why not use Alakazam's signature move? (Many reasons)
Berry-Recycle can be annoying in 1v1, but you need to have at least ONE status user or hazard user on your whole team. I mean, come on. (I assume the magnemite had sturdy...)

Sacred Fire is:
*a physical move (Ho-oh has 130 atk but 110 SpA)
*with 100 BP
*Fire-type, so STAB applies
*with a 50% chance to burn.
*and 95% accuracy, which is pretty good.
*and it used to be Ho-oh's signature move. Nowadays, Entei also gets it, and that alone will almost surely push Entei upwards, out of RU where it was last gen. If it hasn't already.

I mean, what are you going to run instead of it? It's very nearly the perfect move for any physical thing, not to mention one that gets STAB on it.
Nvm I read with instead of without.

Aerial Ace Gliscor
Metronome Aegislash
Zap Plate Eelektross
Spiritomb with Hypnosis, who completely tried to ignore the sleep clause .-.

Eelektross with Quick Claw
Togekiss with Psychic
Dragonite used Ice Punch against Terrakion and Outrage against Hippowdown.
Furfrou
Non-Mega Alakazam without Sash and Foul Play.

Random Shit volume 43(?): Middle of the Night Edition
-Noctowl. It had Flame Orb and Psycho Shift.
-Supersonic+Gyro Ball+Mirror Coat+Thunder Magnezone.
-Colbur Berry Jirachi. Oddly enough, it was triggered by Knock Off.
-Smack Down Landorus-T. Alas, it doesn't help much against Scarf Rotom-W.
-Floatzel. Yeah, I know it gets Swift Swim, but none of its teammates used Rain Dance or Drizzle.
-Well, that's embarrassing: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-94561190
-Enigma Berry Gardevoir.
-Red Card Scizor.
-HP Rock Greninja.
-Belly Drum Clefable with... Double-Edge. Maybe he forgot about its type change.
-Umbreon Toxicing said Clefable, apparently not noticing it had Magic Guard.
-Masquerain.
-Payback Umbreon. While its low speed may make it tempting, let me remind you that Umbreon's offensive presence is virtually nonexistent.
-Flame Charge Talonflame. Gotta go fast.
-DM+Brick Break+Steel Wing+Agility Noivern.
-Double-Edge Gengar.
-Dragon Pulse+Counter Haxorus.
-Pursuit+Air Slash Crobat. Sometimes, it's not the moves, it's the combinations.
-Does your opponent have Trick Room set up? Here's the perfect way around that: Jolteon.
-Okay...: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-94559609
-Fire Blast+Hyper Beam Snorlax.
-Interesting: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-94554222
-Spikes Diggersby.
-Quick Claw Shedinja.
-Dragon Pulse X-zard.
-Powder Vivillon used masterfully... until the opponent figured it out.
-Swalot.
-Poison Heal Breloom with Leftovers.
-Stoutland with Howl and no sand support.
-Smeargle using Topsy-Turvy on a Breloom that had no stat boosts.
-Mightyena.
-Shadow Ball Golurk.
-Aguav Berry Dusknoir, also with Shadow Ball.
-Scolipede using Poison Jab on Forretress.
-A team where it appeared everything had a Red Card.

Rock Smash/Zen Headbutt Tauros
Poison Jab/Double Kick Hitmonlee
Cross Poison/Wing Attack Gliscor
Discharge Thundurus-T
All in the same battle.

I can see Discharge Thunduru-T and poison jab Hitmonlee being alright choices, though the latter being in ou is kind of weird to see no matter what, but double kick is dumb to have on Hitmonlee and I don't know why you would even consider wing attack on Gliscor.

20% more chance for paralysis at the sacrifice of 15 base power (including stab) isn't really worth it, is it?

Look at Tauros's analysis. Zen Headbutt is one of his best moves because of Sheer Force. Rock Smash is stupid, though.
Poison Jab, I guess for Fairies...? Double-Kick? Lawl
Discharge isn't too bad...
Everything else is crap.

Hypnosis, nightmare, dream eater non mega gengar. think the guy might have forgotten to change sets or something. That would be super gimicky on mega too id think.

speaking of gengar, not ou, but saw a guy who didnt realise ghost types arent affected by shadow tag anymore, and whose aegislash died to perish song m-gengar
