Uh sorry to bother you all, but I'm new and didn't know where else to ask this without making a whole new thread.
How do you counter Cosmic Power/Stored Power Clefable?
My Gengar's Sludge Bomb doesn't even dent it and it wasn't a set mentioned in the OU analysis on Clefable.
I don't want to bother them because I'm probably just overlooking something obvious .
List of pokemon that can (usually) counter Clefable--that is, switch in on Clefable at full HP and threaten it out or kill it--assuming you don't waste turns letting it set up:
Swords Dance Aegislash (esp. with Iron Head)
Mega Venusaur (sleep powder is a plus, getting it in IMMEDIATELY is a must)
Bisharp with at least 104 HP Evs
Heatran (can tank all day thanks to quad-resisting moonblast, being immune to flamethrower, and resisting stored power, and can spam flash cannon until it crits or roar it out to give a different pokemon a better chance to kill it later--esp. if you can roar it out while it has some damage on it)
Swords Dance Talonflame (you will beat it to +6, though it can't take too strong of a stored power)
Excadrill (even Jolly) - (resists moonblast and stored power and can flinch with iron head - AV helps with flamethrower)
Mega Mawile
Landorus-I with sludge wave (like Mega Venu, getting it in IMMEDIATELY is a must)
Other options:
Taunt it
Trick it a choice item (esp. if it's the last thing left on your opponents team so it can't switch out)
Put it to sleep and kill it before it wakes up (Mega Venusaur is best for this)
pHaze it out and try again later
DO NOT TOXIC OR LEECH SEED IT. Most CP/SP Clefables are magic guard, meaning you will be wasting a turn.
Also, punishment won't really work because it resists it and it is boosting its own defenses at the same time.
