I've been waiting a while to write one, so here it is. This was done over Shoddy Battle with standard rules in effect.
One note before I start - the story might seem tl;dr, but I think once you get into it you'll like it. The main themes I'm going to outline are: analysis of my mistakes, and effective use of Chain Chomp. But more than anything, I hope I can entertain you here. Enjoy =)
*Note - I'll include the Shoddy battle log, but since I realize it's long and boring, I've included the essentials with my comments in bold.
Anyways, my team was as follows:
My team. It's kind of a "Wtf" at first sight. Suicune/Electivire support each other really well, while the other 4 can benefit from sandstorm at some point in the game if the need to. Now I'm faced in a situation where my guy is upping his stats, but he won't do effective damage against the opponent. However, his guy won't hurt me either, so if worse comes to worse I'll end up Calm Minding a bunch of times and using "not very effective" attacks to wear him down...and then possibly sweep his team.

Another Calm Mind, but now he Phazes me out of there with Roar. Still, I'm left wondering about his Empoleon - is it choice item'd, wall-ish, or what? Tyranitar is now dragged out, brewing a sandstorm which I didn't want to happen until later, but oh well.
DEL337ED switched in Bronzong.

The thought of a STAB'd surf was too scary, considering that none of my Tyraniboah's (yes, boah) attacks wouldn't hit for Super Effective damage. So I switch out, and in comes Bronzong. He follows suit, switching in Staraptor, everyone's favorite brave bird (lol, pun). Stealth Rock and sandstorm are taking their toll.

5-6
Alright, the first casualty of the game - Bronzong is down, but thankfully this stupid bird is dying really fast. I have to make a choice now - send in Chain Chomp who will most likely make Staraptor switch out (I'm guessing it's Adamant, doing that much damage, meaning my Chomp is 1 point faster) or I can save the surprise until later. I took the seemingly safer route and kept Chomp hidden out of fear for making the wrong prediction (it could be Jolly, it could stay in and try and take me with it if I Swords Dance, etc).
Looking back, it's hard to say what would've been the best choice here. I took the safer route and sent in my next wall, but the Pokey-Gods decided to punish my lack of ambition with "hax".
DEL337ED switched in Rhyperior.
Staraptor used Close Combat.
It's super effective!
Rhyperior lost 72% of its health.

Staraptor is hurt by poison!
Staraptor lost 19% of its health.
Grr, Rhyperior will now die because after taking the first Close Combat, he missed his Stone Edge (EDIT - fucking Motherfucker!). Well, with poison and sandstorm taking their toll, after I take the next Close Combat Staraptor will die, at the cost of my wounded (and incompetent...) Rhyperior.
The funny thing is, I was going to go with Avalanche, but I wanted to cause massive damage with Stone Edge in case he got wise and switched out.
Staraptor used Close Combat.
It's super effective!
Rhyperior lost 75% of its health.

Alright, so Rhyperior takes one for the team and now I've officially stalled my way into a dead Staraptor. Still, I'm a player down. But I do have Stealth Rock and Sandstorm working in my favor, as well as the element of surprise.
DEL337ED switched in Garchomp.
bkkinneas switched in Jolteon.

Jolteon is buffetted by the sandstorm!
Jolteon lost 6% of its health.
Jolteon's leftovers restored a little health!
Jolteon restored 6% of its health.
A fresh start - I send out Garchomp, but that Jolteon scares the crap out of me, as most of them run HP Ice. While he's subbing, I decide to switch in Electivire since he can Earthquake and won't get owned by a little Ice.
Another option I could've done was to bait him into Electric attacks with Suicune. Unfortunately, after the speed boost I would eventually be forced to switch out because of Machamp less I want that frail Electivire to die. Another option would've been to switch in Tyranitar, but then substitute + baton pass to Machamp would've been deadly. So I guess sending in Electivire here was a decent choice, but for reasons I didn't know. Weird, huh.
Jolteon used Baton Pass.
bkkinneas switched in Machamp.
Pointed stones dug into Machamp.
Machamp lost 6% of its health.
Electivire used Earthquake.

Electivire lost 6% of its health.
Machamp is buffetted by the sandstorm!
Machamp lost 6% of its health.
Machamp was burned!
Well, the unfortunate scenario of sub + pass to Machamp has happened. I can break the substitute now, but then what? Well I think I know what I have to do - stall Machamp to death! I still don't know what his last Pokemon is, so I don't want to try and revenge kill with Garchomp only to reveal my surprise when I have less Pokemon.
DEL337ED switched in Suicune.
Suicune is exerting its pressure!
Machamp used Close Combat.
Suicune lost 56% of its health.
Machamp's defence was lowered.
Machamp's special defence was lowered.

Machamp was hurt by its burn!
Machamp lost 12% of its health.
I send out Suicune to try and stall Machamp to death. Now, since Close Combat has lowered his special defenses, AND he's getting worn down by burn + sandstorm, I figure for sure he'll switch out and live to fight another day. After all, he's probably thinking I'm just gonna go first and Surf. Then he'll switch to Empoleon and wear me down.
So what do I do? I don't surf, of course, but instead I use Calm Mind, almost positive of an upcoming switch.
Suicune used Calm Mind.
Suicune's special attack was raised.
Suicune's special defence was raised.
Machamp used Close Combat.
Suicune lost 62% of its health.

LOL WUT? It stayed in (and thus killed me)? I really can't tell if this is a prediction mistake, an overprediction, or if he just guessed me right. Either way, very good move on his behalf. At least Machamp will die soon...Now I've got to find a way to come from two Pokemon behind. A comeback will require Weezing to die. It's getting late in the game and seeing as I'm two guys behind, if I have any tricks left up my sleeve I better pull them out now.
DEL337ED switched in Garchomp.

Now he switches out the wounded Machamp as I send it Garchomp. Out comes Weezing, and he's perfectly find with this as most Garchomp's end up Dragon Claw-ing Weezing for around 25%. But guess what?
That's right, Draco Meteor (89%) + stealth rock: Boom. He must've been sitting at his computer in disbelief for a while because he didn't send out another guy for a whole minute. Well, that's your Chain Chomp at work!
bkkinneas switched in Jolteon.

Annoying Jolteon comes back out, with the threat of HP Ice scarring away Garchomp. In comes Tyranitar, though (I've noticed through my battles with this team that Chain Chomp and Tyraniboah make a good tag-team). Anyways, Jolteon substitutes, probably about to pass it to Machamp. At least this turn I've got the initiative and since people don't EV Machamp's speed, I'm pretty confident I'll get two hits in a row which should be more than enough.
Jolteon used Baton Pass.

Tyranitar on Jolteon now. The two duke it out, but with all the chocolate rain coming from above (wait, I mean sandstorm >_>), Jolteon faints, and I finally get to see the Mystery Pokemon he's been saving.
Something tells me I've won, or else he would have been shuffling that last Pokemon in-and-out throughout the match.

Alright, so Rhyperior takes one for the team and now I've officially stalled my way into a dead Staraptor. Still, I'm a player down. But I do have Stealth Rock and Sandstorm working in my favor, as well as the element of surprise.

Weird, huh.

I figure here I should get Tyranitar out, let Electivire take a hit from Empoleon, and then retaliate with Earthquake. I could've done the same thing with Garchomp, alternatively. But if EQ doesn't kill him, Ice Beam will kill me, and I don't feel like risking the Chomp man, still not knowing his last guy.
