Just your normal, everyday Ubers battle. why are you using tropius

There's a Luxray on that team and you point out the Tropius?

On my alt again. In the replay:

-Gengar with Will-O-Wisp (Not sure if that's common.)
-Calm Mind Latios, Volcarona, and Charizard-X is what you would see in the OU, nothing silly there.
-Real gem. His Tyranitar. That had. Fire Fang.

That guy's team is *very* similar to mine. I think the sillier things about the replay:

1. His Ttar doesn't appear to have pursuit (or he doesn't know how to predict good times to use the move).
2. Fire blast > Fire Fang, but since he has 2 fire types already, should probably use Ice Beam instead because of Lando.
3. He let his entire team get paralyzed by a Ferrothorn when he had 3 things with a fire move.

Oh boy

  • Fly Tropius
  • Tropius at all
  • Facade Bisharp
  • Physical Non-Mega Charizard, gotta use that 84 attack
  • Alright, so this Hydregion is known to use Flamethrower. What should I switch in against it? Oh, I know! Tropius and Bisharp!
  • Thunderbolt Luxray (95 SpA is good, but...)
  • Iron Tail Groudon
Don't forget that that Luxray also had Thunder. On a team with a Groudon. Because 50% accuracy Thunders are the new meta.

I know weather only lasts 5 turns now, but there should at least be some semblance of team building there.

Only one actual uber in that entire match. Questionable sets on most of the pokemon, and the guy with the Groudon (only uber, and only thing with a chance to survive more than 1-2 attacks from Hydreigon) had 5/6 of his team swept by it. Also I'm not entirely convinced he EV'd anything either (or, did a poor job at it) because Hydreigon outsped his Zoroark without a scarf.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-107517577 contains the following:
Typhlosion and Feraligatr
Typhlosion uses HP fighting? on Salamence
Thrash Salamence
Physical Y-Zard which KO's itself with Flare Blitz against Feraligatr
Focus Punch/Close Combat Lucario
Sending out M-Tyranitar against Lucario, next turn is not a surprise
Hypnosis/Nightmare/Shadow Claw/Sludge Bomb Gengar which KO's Lucario, but not before wasting a turn with Sludge Bomb
Quick Claw on said Gengar
Other Tyranitar uses Earthquake on Gengar
Dynamic Punch Tyranitar stays in on Pangoro
Dig/Dragon Rush/Outrage Garchomp
Bullet Seed non-mega Venusaur

People on Wifi seem to love Dark Void and Nightmare. Especially in the battles with passerbys. I started equipping my Shiny Physical Attacking Hydreigon (the only thing that cleanly outspeeds most Darkrai from my Gen 5 (Traded) Shiny Team) with a Lum Berry to counter it because at one point in time I got so unlucky that someone went through 5 of my Pokemon before I finally was able to kill it.. Luckily the Lum Berry is good on the off-chance that I can actually finish an Outrage.
Hydreigon's Base Speed: 98
Darkrai's Base Speed: 125
Um, wut?

Hydreigon's Base Speed: 98

I-I have no idea how to explain it. It just happens. It happened all but one time I encountered Darkrai on Wifi. I'm going to guess maybe no investment or bad speed nature. Or bad IVs. My Hydreigon is Jolly with a somehow max Speed IV...so it's possible that some combination of that occurred.

Or you've just gotten extremely lucky and have run into nothin but idiots for a very long time, and concidering the state of WiFi battling, that's fairly likely.
That is also extremely likely. Most of them were trying to do a Dark Void + Nightmare combo. And most of them play with no rules (so no Sleep Clause) so it really got annoying to see nearly my whole team asleep. So, I could not switch away without letting another Pokemon fall asleep. On the other hand, Dark Void + Nightmare Darkrai IS the main reason I support Sleep Clause now since now it turns into a game of luck about when you wake up to kill him. It's also the main reason I now support all forms of priority.

I just like to think my Shiny Hydreigon's a champ. Not like my Regular Hydreigon which gets killed every time a fairy as so much Draining Kisses me (that literally happened once with some person's Klefki). Of course my Shiny one probably would also die from a Draining Kiss, but it usually nets me a switch because people expect a special Hydreigon not a physical one.

Aegislash counter?
252+ Atk Choice Band Huge Power Azumarill Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Aegislash-Shield: 272-320 (83.9 - 98.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
With rocks it's nearly 40% chance to OHKO(if they switch in OFC)

I wouldn't call it a guaranteed 2hko I mean what if they use kings shield n considering I'll be choice locked
Not my cup of tea
