Other Silly Things You've Seen On The OU Ladder: V2

Yeah, Ubers ladder is pretty terrible at times. You have to get up really high to battle semi-decent players, or at least that's what I've heard from friends who are Ubers players. I guess the reason for this is because the newer players think that the tier with the most powerful pokemon is the best tier, and use teams with powerful legendaries like Palkia and Darkrai combined with their favorite Pokemon (Quiliava! Piplup!), all with terrible in-game movesets.

Guys, I'm pretty sure that all the people who do dumb stuff on Showdown gather at the bottom of the Ubers ladder.

That's why people call it Noobers. If you play on cart, you know most passerby battles consist of Mewtwo/Xerneas/Yveltal/Kyogre/Ground/Rayquaza. & you usually 6-0 them. Being able to use legendaries attracts a lot of new players who can't be bothered to learn how to play the meta. As Magicfire said, you gotta go pretty high on the ladder to get away from that. Some of these Ubers moveset screenshots are hilarious though, most of them look like they've just used their in-game teams.

You guys do not know. I once faced this guy who used Sap Sipper HPump Azumarill (NO EVs or IV's either because I calced after words) on my god damn Mega Venusaur. Then afterwords I asked him and he said "New meta".

Then he decides to use fucking Focus Punch.

Well, world-wide I guess Bisharp's are shitting in their pants.

Hmm i think i have soemthing that tops evrytihing here so get ready

Shucke @ master ball (cause this set is only worth masters)
Ability:Sturdy
EVs: 252 att 252 SpD 4 HP
Jolly nature

shell smash
infestion
Hidden power rock
Bug bite

The ultimate sweeper

On Wi-Fi, I just was challenged to a triple battle by a Japanese player who put up 5 Lugias and a M-Mewtwo X. Nothing like team balance, eh?

An easy 6-0 win was the result. To me, for the avoidance of doubt.

Really, wtf?

Bulk Up Talonflame is great, honestly. I run a bulk up, will-o-wisp, roost, BB set with 200~HP and 125~ Spe and Atk EVS and it works quite nicely. The only problem for me is the lack of flare blitz.

Just to get back to that, I actually got swept by a Bulk Up Talonflame yesterday. Althought to my defense I did miss 2 Toxic in a row. But it is indeed a pretty viable set.

But back to topic: I swept a Sun team with Heatran. Led with Ferrothorn, switched Tran into the obvious fire move by his Ninetales, got the Flash Fire + Sun boosts and just wrecked shop. You'd expect Sun teams to have a Heatran counter, but ah well. The guy saved his own Heatran for last too, opting to sacrifice his entire team instead of hoping to win the speed tie and get a lucky crit with Earth power or at least get some damage on my Tran.

That wasn't silly at all man... It was a bad play.

Its Charizard Y btw

Turn 1

Charizard has Mega Evolved into Mega Charizard!
The sunlight turned harsh!

The opposing Charizard used Acrobatics!

Im using assault vest ferrothorn at the moment, with the moves power whip, gyro ball, knock off, explosion. It's surprisingly good, one good thing is that taunt users get tricked into thinking it is a normal hazard setter and as a result I get a free knock off on something. Also it OHKO's gengar with knock off and aegislash if it is in blade form (note shadow ball does about 22% usually this is what they use on me which is nice)
Also a funny gimmick is that it can live a secret sword from specs keldeo which is nice as keldeo is a big threat to my team > http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-108189072 (skip to turn 10)

Ummm... Wrong thread?

He forfeited after his Gengart using Sucker Pinch on my Mega Gyarados. I set up 2 DD already.

And this is weird, to say the least:
a Choice Scarf Chansey that has used Toxic already getting an use on Garchomp. I use SD and Outrage but Chansey didn't leave the match even though it was choiced. I think this is not silly because it was an Evolite Chansey that got tricked by CS Rotom-W.

Oh dear, where do I even begin?
I had a banded Scizor that lead and swept an entire team using nothing but bullet punch in ubers.
Literally did nothing else but bullet punch and 11 turns later had won.
Lemme see... I saw a Clefable with Charge beam, calm mind, wish, and cosmic power.
Cosmic Power/Return/Will-o-wisp/recover Normal (No leftovers) Arceus.
Special gyarados
Sticky Barb on pokemon
Toxic orb on a heatran (though that worked in his favor as I tried to trick it a choice item)
And the list goes on, and on...
