I'm not sure if this qualifies as a "simple question", but I was wondering if Smogon holds tournaments in real life that hold the same rules/bans of OU?

I would love to compete in an OU Tournament according to Smogon's rules without using the showdown servers. I know VGC has their own tournaments, and was hoping Smogon did the same with Wifi.

What does it mean when something's based? ex: Based Bisharp
Some shitty rapper calls himself Based God (i think its lil wayne or jay-z or some other (BAN ME PLEASE)) and it went viral in smogon community when some people started using Bisharp and calling it Based God/Based Bisharp.

For some reason I couldn't find the answer to this anywhere else so: Does Wish Passing still work? (Using Wish then Baton Pass to heal the switched-in Pokemon.) I think I've read somewhere that the mechanics have changed, but I'm not sure.

(I'm not planning to use this on a team, btw, but for a character.)

Yes, using Wish then Baton Pass heals the switched-in Pokemon at the end of the turn, assuming it is alive.

Wish works on what you switch in, even if you hard switch. You don't have to Baton Pass.

The reason you would use Baton Pass is if the Wish user is slower than the enemy, so that the Wish user takes the hit instead of whoever you're trying to heal.

I'm planning on this move set and was wondering what move I should take in the slash
Garchomp @ Focus sash
Jolly nature
252 Atk, 252 Spd, 4 HP
-Dragon Claw
-Stone Edge
-Iron Tail/Iron Head
-Swords Dance

I'm mainly wondering what KOs I'd miss out on if I use Iron Head over Iron Tail (if any).

Just use Earthquake over both moves since Iron Head and Earthquake do almost the same amount of damage to Sylveon (Iron Head does a little more) and Stone Edge takes care of Ice-type Pokemon and Togekiss. If you're going to slash a move for Iron Head or Iron Tail, then cut Stone Edge. Earthquake and a Dragon-type move are mandatory though.

What do you recommend I take instead of Iron Head with my nature and ability?

What are the best stall options to switch into both/either Charizard forms for those situations when it hasn't mega'd yet and you don't know which one it is? Even Cresselia is taking 47.2% from Flare Blitz.

I've used Sap Sipper Azumarril but I can't convince myself it's really worth the teamslot (maybe it is...), and Hippowdon only works against Char-Y because Char-X is too strong, and even then it only switches in if Y has already mega'd.

One option is:

Gyarados @ Leftovers / Life Orb
252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def
Adamant Nature
Intimidate
-Waterfall
-Stone Edge
-Thunder Wave/Anything
-Anything

Intimidate will hurt X (-1 Dragon Claw is only a 3HKO, it even has a chance to only 4HKO if its Jolly and you run leftovers), and Gyara's natural special bulk will help against Y (solar beam is a 3HKO). Then you can use Stone Edge to hit both variants. If you're leftovers, you have MUCH better survivability, but life orb will let you OHKO XZard whereas you only do about 75-85% without it. Although, even without it, you get him in the range where he can't switch back in on stealth rocks without roosting first. You could also opt to simply cripple it with thunder wave.

Another option is to lead with a fast volt switcher like Specs/Life Orb Jolteon, which could force your opponent to switch out if it's a YZard, or they might stay in and let you volt switch out to a physical wall if it's an XZard. That could also let you volt switch into something like the above Gyarados who could then KO with stone edge after XZard takes the volt switch damage.

Reposting for suggestions for a replacement for Iron Head/Iron Tail.

Earthquake. It's basically mandatory on Garchomp, he has one of the absolute strongest E/Qs out there. If you're super afraid of fairies you can go poison jab over stone edge.
^ This. I've used a Garchomp (item was Garchompite, though) with a similar move set (Dragon Claw, Iron Head/Poison Jab, Earthquake, Swords Dance), and found Poison Jab to be ever so slightly better. Earthquake is pretty much Chomp's best move though.

Can someone give me the lowdown on Gourgeist vs. Trevenant?
In my secondhand experience (through my brother's team), Gourgeist seems to be a bit more open in what it can do than Trevenant. Brother's is a small Gourgeist with Substitute, Leech Seed, Shadow Sneak and Explosion (couldn't give you much more than that, I know it has 252 speed EVs but it's not mine :/ ), meanwhile his Trevenant was a weird Physical attacker that knew (from memory, I could be wrong) Curse, Horn Leech, Phantom Force, and Will-O-Wisp and was on a Trick Room team. I think Gourgeist is the better of the two, but then, I also try to use Feraligatr, so what do I know?
