Ladder Weirdness take 10: Holy Crap I'm Still Alive Edition

- Oh hey I haven't been on forever, has the ladder improved any? *clicks Watch Battle, sees Hyper Voice Blissey in the first battle she clicks on* ... no.
- Let's bring in Aegislash on a Mega Gyarados with 50% health that was spamming Earthquake just a few seconds ago. That will end well.
- Dark Pulse + Shadow Ball Gengar.
- Aerial Ace Slaking.
- Shell Bell Vaporeon.
- My opponent has a Blissey out. Light Screen (and only Light Screen) is active on their side. Let's bring in Noivern!
- Illumise / Electrode / Seaking / Cacturne / Dunsparce / Mantyke
- Scyther. Golem. Dodrio. Persian. All in OU. None on the same team.
- Milotic without Competitive.
- In the ring of Ubers, we have: in the red corner, Eelektross. In the blue corner, Energy Ball Torterra. Fight!
- Brick Break Garchomp.
- Leftovers Dusclops.
- A team of four competent, well-built competitive Pokemon...and a Hitmonchan.
- Then you read that last line again and realize I didn't say five.
- Moonblast / Draining Kiss / Iron Tail / Last Resort Sylveon. With Cute Charm. I don't even.
- Abra / Pikachu / Pumpkaboo-* / Geodude / Bidoof / Banette...okay, this was in RU where Mega Banette is good, but it's not THAT good.
- Then it turned out that Pumpkaboo was a Pumpkaboo-Large with an Air Balloon, that the Geodude wasn't Sturdy, and the Bidoof was holding a Mystic Water.
- Something is very wrong when Excadrill outside of sand outspeeds a non-paralyzed Crobat.
- Or when non-Scarf Braviary outspeeds a post-Smash Gorebyss.
- Team of three Pokemon. Takes out one opposing mon. Forfeits. Day in the life of a PS ladderer.
- Pachirisu. With Focus Sash. And Endure.
- Chansey and Blissey on the same team.
- Trick Celebi with...Toxic Orb. Which it Tricked onto a Skarmory.
- Mega Kick Swampert.
- Mega Kick Zard-Y.
- ASSAULT VEST VENOMOTH are you KIDDING ME okay i am just fucking DONE.

I had -2 aegislash (thanks to freaking intimidates) as my last poke. skarmory comes in. uses whirlwind. the following turn, Skarmory lived my shadow sneak and used stealth rock.

10th Round of silly replays: Sturdy Edition

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-120888660
One team has all 3 Kanto starters, Alakazam and Scizor. Who will Mega Evolve among them?
  • Eruption/Ancient Power Weakness Policy Heatran. It got both boosts but was beaten by several Focus Misses Blasts.
  • Quick Claw Gengar.
  • Leftovers Charizard. Finally, no one Mega Evolved in this team.
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-120889706
  • Donphan.
  • Torrent Greninja.
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-120890274
Once again, between Houndoom, Aggron, Garchomp and Aerodactyl, who will Mega Evolve?
Team A:
  • The question wasn't relevant to this team, but it has a non-Mega Aggron, too.
  • Avalugg.
  • Turn 19: Conkeldurr barely survived a Grass Knot (80 BP vs Ice Beam's 90) and finished the poor Greninja.
Team B:
  • It was Houndoom, the Mega. Also why Heat Wave when Fire Blast, Flamethrower or even Overheat exist?
  • Head Smash Air Balloon Aggron without Rock Head.
  • Dark Pulse + Psychic Gengar. No STAB?

Roar?
The only use I see for that is stopping other Xerneas. Seems a bit of a waste IMO (What do I know, I have HP Fire on Xern)

Geomancy isn't the only thing it can do. Defensive Xerneas with Roar exist. (and HP Fire beats Scizor and does the most it will ever do to Aegislash)

Someone forfeited after his/her Castform couldn't use Hail because of Taunt. Also, Avalanche Castform. If you use Castform, at least please have the courtesy of using Weather Ball.
The rest of his/her team consisted of Marill, Drifblim, Jumpluff, Gardevoir and Cherrim.

Because these crap mons weren't enough, Hail Castform and Sun "abusers" in the same team. Or was it Double Weather Castform ?
Btw, Game Freak, could you stop giving Chlorophyll/Swift Swim to the like of Jumpluff and Luvdisc, that precisely don't need more speed, of all things ?

EDIT : More silly things, all in the same battle :
- Gyarados Dragon Dancing on an obvious Unaware Quagsire.
- A few turns later, Aegislash setting up Sword Dance on the very same Quagsire. "If something fails, do it until it works"
- Switching Rhyperior on said Quagsire, which was spamming Scald to burn Gyarados
- Ferrothorn stacking hazards on Defog Mew. Which proceeded to use Stealth Rock just before using Defog
- Ferrothorn using Leech Seed on a Clefable that didn't take SR damage. Twice.

- A team with only one mon : a lv100 Magnemite. It was a very strange mistake, it didn't even have a Berry Juice. The opponent tried to stack hazards on it and even used phazing moves.
- Darmanitan trying to revenge kill an Espeon. As you can guess : it doesn't work.
- A Ninetales using SolarBeam while it isn't sunny (and against an Aegislash)
- Speaking of weather teams : http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-120999480 Awesome team synergy.
SolarBeam against Drizzle Politoed, Wormadam, Sunny Day Meganium, Houndoom failing to predict some REALLY obvious switches,

And then, a reaaaally wtf battle :
- An awesome stall war featuring Reflect+Roost Ledian vs Seed Bomb Chesnaught. The Chesnaught user had a Darmanitan, but tried to pp stall Ledian nonetheless.
- Endure Luvdisc. Did absolutely nothing (it was KOed by a scarf Moltres)
- Also, Moltres in OU
- Lunatone (did nothing)
- Rapidash (same as above)
- Non Mega Medicham that switched into Moltres Air Slash
- Marowak without a STAB move
- Ledian using Light Screen when its opponent only had a Darmanitan left
- CritDra with Brine and AuroraBeam.
