Wasn't on showdown but this happened in a WiFi battle for me lol

So I decided to start a new alt and do some laddering and this is what I found:

Level 32 Raticate named FEAR with Thunderbolt (that used Quick Attack on my full-health Heatran)
Aegislash using Gyro Ball on my Heatran
Is Maranga Berry Goodra a thing? I didn't even know Maranga Berry existed before today
Air Balloon (obviously normal) Ampharos
Double Edge Mega Venusaur
Cloyster using Toxic Spikes against my team...which has three Steel types, a Levitator and two Flying types (one of which is Char-X, but this was turn 1 and my opponent didn't know that yet)

-Quick Claw Rotom-W.
-Normal Gem Boomburst Noivern.
-Meadow Plate Exeggutor. Also, Exeggutor without sun.
-Conkeldurr using Counter... on Starmie. Twice.
-Gliscor using Toxic on Espeon. Maybe he meant to do that...
-Shell Smash+Icicle Spear Cloyster without Skill Link.
-Switching in X-zard on an Outrage.
-Charge Beam+Thunderbolt+Thunder Magnezone, with the latter two being used on Garchomp.
-Gengar using Disable on a Bisharp... right after the latter came in on Substitute.
-Chesnaught using Hammer Arm on Aegislash when it was obvious it was not going to use King's Shield.
-Hitmontop using Toxic on said Aegislash, which happened to be on a MONOTYPE STEEL.
-Dragon Claw Eelektross.
-M-Garchomp using Earthquake on said Eelektross.
-Quick Claw Galvantula. Gotta go fast. It also had Signal Beam, when Bug Buzz exists.
-Power-up Punch Quagsire. Because it obviously has an offensive presence such that it requires boosting.
-Air Balloon Gliscor that used EQ on Skarmory. It also had Dark Pulse.
-Psyshock M-Medicham. And then because the hax gods love karma, it missed a HJK at 43%.
-Flamethrower Gyarados. Yeah, it kills Lucario, but so does EQ. Not that Lucario is a major threat in OU these days, but still.

-Some funny hax: Heatran defrosting a frozen Deoxys-S with Lava Plume, only to burn it.
-Whiscash. AND IT GOT A SWEEP.
-Steel Wing X-zard.
-Drain Punch+Double-Edge Ludicolo.
-Terrakion using Taunt on Espeon. Come on people, LEARN WHAT MAGIC BOUNCE IS.
-A battle featuring Stone Edge missing three times and Hydro Pump missing twice. The hax gods are fickle sometimes.
-Scrafty using, of all things, Stone Edge on Conkeldurr.
-Extreme Killer Linoone with Last Resort, of all things.
-Sludge Bomb Chesnaught.

True, but I bet most of those (hopefully) were Scrappy, so they aren't completely fucked over by a ghost type coming in.

Aerial Ace Crobat (yeah, no recoil, but it's so damn weak)
Fling+Toxic Orb+Acrobatics Greninja (at least it was Protean)
Cute Charm Sylveon (Heal Bell is legal with Pixilate, you know)

Sounds like he was really eager to jump on the DeoSharp train; poor kid was probably coming straight from a thrashing.

The stories behind these are pretty bittersweet, especially as we pull from 1200+, it is in that range that most of the excursionist teams die, and folks begin to lean on formulas. As the ladderer shrugs off his alt's childhood, he'll run into a number of adolescent players who seem to take pleasure in a more methodical style of play.

Then 1450 comes around and it's all a big flame war; it comes to the point that you can't find camaraderie on the ladder until you're well into 1600.

Quite the gauntlet, and indeed, a ravaging emotional road.

Mainly for the "I lost so I'm gonna insult you" rage, which is always pretty silly, but in addition:
-Using Thunder on a Charizard, especially when he had an Azumarill in the wings. Whether it was gonna become X or Y that probably wasn't gonna end well.
-Switching Kabutops in on a Keldeo again instead of Azumarill

But seriously, why do people rage so hard at stall, even just a stall pokemon? I guess making your own pokemon slowly kill itself IS a bit embarrassing. I've seen people say this kind of thing against stall in matches I've spec'd too.
