Random (somewhat gimmicky) BH sets time! Any thoughts?
Charizard-Mega-Y @ Choice Scarf
Ability:
Aerilate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 SDef / 252 Spd
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Boomburst
- Trick
- Volt Switch
- Magma Storm
This is basically a combination of a set Dawn's Piplup used a while back and Flint's Scarf Kyu-W. Charizard-Y, while remarkably frail, can 2HKO most Pokemon in the tier with Aerilate Boomburst. The Modest nature allows it to beat out things like RegenVest Darm-Z without sacrificing outspeeding much of anything. Trick allows you to cripple a defensive Pokemon, provided it's not holding a Mega Stone. Volt Switch is for momentum, Magma Storm gives STAB and a Shedinja counter. The main wall for this in the tier is FF Aegislash; using this necessitates running one of those, or a Tyranitar of some sort. I find this set, while risky, to be an excellent wallbreaker, particularly for things that try to pass Substitutes. The one thing it really wishes it had was a way of stopping Refrigerate Kyurem-B.
Blaziken-Mega @ Safety Goggles
Ability:
Mold Breaker
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 SDef / 252 Spd
Adamant/Jolly Nature
- Sacred Fire
- Close Combat/other physical fighting move
- Spore
- Shift Gear
Another Fire-type attacker, Blaziken-Mega has a really strange niche in the tier as an occasional Contrary user. Surprisingly, though, it isn't seen much else outside of weird Prankster sets with V-create. This set allows it to take advantage of its useful offensive typing and ability to knock out some omnipresent threats in the tier, like Flash Fire steels, Kyurem-B, and Shedinja. Sacred Fire is the best option available without V-create's significant stat drops and Flare Blitz's recoil. Close Combat was chosen as the second STAB, allowing Blaziken to easily dispatch Kyurem-Black. It can switch in to Fake Out, outspeed Cube's Thousand Arrows, and hopefully KO with CC or put it to sleep with a Spore. Spore's main function on the set is to put Magic Bouncers to sleep, so Blaziken can boost on things like Mega Aggron. In addition, Spore combined with Safety Goggles provides a sort of anti-Imposter strategy, allowing Blaziken to boost further and eventually KO Chansey, if lucky. Nonetheless, it's necessary to run a counter to this set on one's team; Giratina
really shuts down this set, particularly a Prankster one or a Poison Healer with orb activated.
Xerneas @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 SDef / 252 Spd
Adamant/Jolly Nature
- Spore/Sacred Fire
- Thousand Waves
- Play Rough
- Shift Gear
There isn't much to say here, it's just an unusual take on Poison Heal Xerneas that serves as the physical counterpart to the more traditional set. Trap with Thousand Waves, put to sleep with Spore or burn with Sacred Fire (if you're
King Tegopelte), and set up. The coverage this set runs makes it difficult to wall; it tends to wall itself, like the special set more commonly used, but Flash Fire Scizor-Mega can check it (especially non-Spore variants), and things like the rare Ho-Oh or Skarmory serve as decent counters (if you have those for some reason.)
Zekrom @ Draco Plate
Ability: Turboblaze
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 SDef / 252 Spd
Naughty Nature
- Shell Smash
- King's Shield
- Bolt Strike
- Judgment
This set is pretty questionable, in all honesty, but it's fun to use and is often surprisingly effective. Mixed sets aren't seen too often in BH, but if Zekrom can set up a Shell Smash, it can OHKO Flash Fire Scizor-Mega (one of the tier's primary physical walls) with Bolt Strike, and do significant amounts of damage to defensive pokemon based on which defense they focus on. King's Shield is a necessity for -ate users and predicted Knock Offs, which ruin Zekrom's day, allowing it to be walled by any Dragon-type. Against Imposters, it can succeed pretty well, having a chance to OHKO Chansey with Judgment. (This set was originally made by Mista Rob and Werefofel. I adapted it and made a change or two.)
Giratina @ whatever
Ability:
Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 SDef / 252 Spd
whatever Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- typical prankster move
- typical prankster move

Magic Room
Not much to say here, just something
Piccolo Daimao and I have used for fun. Ruins Gengar sweeps (and those of other Judgment sweepers), generally annoys a great variety of Pokemon that care about their items.
Heatran @ Leppa Berry
Ability:
Magnet Pull
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 SDef / 252 Spd
Modest/Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Wide Guard
- Searing Shot
- Boomburst
- Quiver Dance
Not really a serious set, but something fun
King Tegopelte and I came up with to irritate Imposters. It vaguely resembles the Magnet Pull Dialga that
Keep it Playful used, but its strategy is different. For those of you that have never played doubles, (I haven't either :P), Wide Guard is a priority move that blocks all spread moves for the duration of the turn. Unlike Protect, it can be used over and over again. The Magnet Pull Heatran, aided by Leppa Berry, can spam Wide Guard to drain Chansey of all its PP, and set up Quiver Dances when it gets the chance. Fire/Normal is really bad coverage, but probably the best that could be assembled from the spread moves available. Like Magnet Pull Dialga, it's an anti-Chansey with a small chance of sweeping. Quick Guard can be used too, on a different set, in conjunction with priority moves.
