It would most likely be HP Ground, as it allows TF to hit stuff like Heatran and Tyranitar super effectively, which would otherwise wall it. Only problem?
4 SpA Talonflame Hidden Power Ground vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Heatran: 132-156 (40.8 - 48.2%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
That means TF needs a Life Orb to 2HKO offensive Heatran (not to mention some of them have Air Balloons). And Tyranitar takes even less. So it's still stupid.

Edit: Forgot to mention I saw an HP Ground Talonflame myself many moons ago and posted pretty much the exact same logic ITT. (I switched Gyarados into it, which is how I found out.)

Normal Venusaur in a not sun team. There was no other megas in the team.
Tri-Attack Hydreigon
Klinklang using Wild Charge on Hydreigon before deciding to Shift Gears

I also had a battle earlier where the enemy lead off with Pinsir and stayed in against my Garchomp. It got OHKO'ed by Stone Edge but not before using... Wait for it... Body Slam.

I found a Marowak, but not any Marowak... this one had LEFTOVERS. IF YOU'RE GOING TO RUN MAROWAK AT LEAST USE THICK CLUB, this is just the begining

Well, he never got full para OR confusion damage even once, so that's kinda haxy. But even then, using a team entirely composed of niche mons whose niches are always immediately obvious was probably a bad plan. As was the Espeon without HP Ground when your entire team is walled by Heatran.

Yeah that's my point. Not a single thing with a Ground, Fighting, or Water move. Not a single thing that can just plain hit it hard with a neutral move either. Or anything that resists Fire for that matter either...
