Why? - Fall Saddles

First time i've listened to Why?, and so far i'm really impressed with this song and this album.

oh my god dude, fuck yes. fuck fuck yes. listen to rubber traits/waterfalls/crushed bones if you want some really good why? shit

boom bip & doseone - poetic license

doseone of cLOUDDEAD never fails to impress me, regardless of what song or collective hes a part of.

Thievery Corporation - Lebanese Blonde

Relaxing chill-out music with an interesting latino feeling to it. Quite easy to listen to and even easier to pick up. This is one of my favorite songs from Thievery Corporation, mainly because of the usage of so many different instrument sounds. The female vocals are quite fitting to the song as well.

8.5/10

Bloc Party - The Prayer

Hand claps and foot stomps. What more could you want from a song? Well a great chorus for one this song has that too.

9/10

Yeah that is quite a tune. "DONT GIVE ME GRACE OR DANCING FEET" etc

Now Playing: Mystery Jets - Moonlight Satellite

my favourite song by these lads, 8/10

The Appleseed Cast - Fight Song

I didn't really like Two Conversations as it got bland fast and was pretty boring. It did yield an unexpected gem, though - Fight Song. It just sounds incredibly epic for a band that's often associated with acts such as Minus the Bear. This song sounds a lot like their better work, like in Peregrine or Lower Level Owl Vol. 1, but this song saved the album from being a total bore and to this day is one of my favorite Appleseed Cast tracks. I can't really define it, but I urge you to listen to this or any of the aforementioned albums.

I don't know if you have ever tried it but you really need to listen to that song right before you go to sleep. Something about it just makes you feel more alive the next morning. Deffinately one of the best songs they have ever made.

Nightmare of You - Thumbelina

A lyrically brilliant song entirely dedicated to sex. If i could rate this song by lyrics alone it would be a perfect 10, but the music is a little too repetitive. All in all it is still a great song.

9/10

Squarepusher - Fat Controller

Just thought i'd break up this little indie/rock/new-rave thing going on here. Squarepusher is easily the best house artist i've heard because in his own (paraphrased) words "I know my instruments and how they work and what they can do. I don't just combine sound for it sounds like; I build things are they were harmonically intended to exist."

Or words to that effect. But, yea. Not your standard house music. Check it out.

Aaliyah-We Need a Resolution

One of Timbaland's on-point beats, plus the talented Aaliyah (RIP) singing a song about a strained relationship. Also a very good music video, very dark but beautiful video.

Love the song since there are not many songs like this in the field of R&B. Also, that woman was beautiful in the natural sense.

Protest the Hero - She Who Mars the Skin of Gods

I'm tired and I'm cold
And I want to go to bed
But there's no-one here to tuck me in
So the shot - gun - will - in - stead

I've seen them live twice, and they played that song both times. It's truly beautiful in all it's glorious sadness.

Queen-Don't Stop Me Now

Great lyrics, great theme, and just full of that cocky exuberance that pervades youth. Perfect for driving around town or hitting up your bitch. Whatever.

9/10.

At The Drive-In - Invalid Letter Dept.

Only just got round to downloading the album Relationship Of Command. Loved The Mars Volta so this was a logical step forward. Thus far, the music is amazing in a very raw way compared to TMV. However, I still can't decide how much i'm liking the vocals...
Anyways, this specific song I love everything about. 8/10

Klaxons - Golden Skans

What a tune :D

Please, please, tell me you've picked that up from me on page 62.

Golden Skans is fantastic!

Portugal. The Man - Marching With 6

One of my few experiences with indie and experimental music. There isn't a song on Waiter: "You Vultures!" that I dislike. Marching With 6 is my second favorite next to Tommy.

8.5/10

Tiger Lou - The War Between Us

After only having "The Loyal" (rated 5 stars) on my computer for over a year, I finally stumbled upon their record company's website that has a flash player with all their releases for listening. I'm quickly falling in love with everything they've ever made.

8.5/10

Also, some of you need to put more effort into your posts. "this song rules" doesn't constitute a song review. I will continue to delete the posts that don't follow the thread rules.

King Crimson - The Great Deceiver

The more I listen to Starless And Bible Black, the more I enjoy it. This song makes one of the best openers I've ever listened to from King Crimson.
The vocals here are unexplicably awesome, their intro guitar solo is fantastic as well, the only way you guys can feel what I feel right now is if you go listen to this song, it's worth every second.

"Cigarettes, ice cream, figurines of the Virgin Mary
Cigarettes, ice cream, figurines of the Virgin Mary"

Blackfield - End of the World

Pure pop rock perfection. Vocal melodies/harmonies are gorgeous, string arrangements are rich, guitars work so well, it's so melancholic, it's everything a good song should be. I have a new obsession.

10/10

Genghis Tron - Ride the Steambolt

Short but sweet. Starts out insane, ends insane with some intense guitar riffs in between parts of the song, incomprehensible singing and nearly 2 minutes of madness. Of course, it's not all grinding hardcore shit; ambient parts can be heard in a couple parts, which make a surprisingly smooth transition from intense to soft. I still prefer Arms, though!
