I was just doing a triple battle, leveling my Pokémon up to level 50 to battle in the battle maison, and my Mamoswine leveled up and learnt Blizzard before it went for it's turn. If I had taught it over the move that I was using on that turn, what would happen? Blizzard, Icicle crash or struggle?

The new move that replaces the one you originally selected is used. So it would have used Blizzard. This has happened to me during power leveling too, so I can confirm personally.

edit: However, if the pokemon is locked into Outrage, it uses Outrage, even if you delete it. Maybe something similar happens if you are a victim of Encore? But I don't know which opponents even use Encore. I also know that Encore stops if you run out of PP of the afflicted move. So if you delete a move mid-battle, Encore probably ends and you use the new move. But that's just a guess.

That tactic doesn't have as much of a presence in OU as it used to. The main Pokemon that can abuse it in the tier, Togekiss and Jirachi, are more easily dealt with than in previous generations thanks to Greninja and steel's defensive nerf.

But that doesn't really explain why it's not banned in the first place. Evasion moves aren't widely used even in VGC yet they are still banned. And Jirachi is in a fairly high speed tier. What if sticky web is down or mid game has removed the under 100s? There's nothing you can do against it if you don't have a non flinching ability but still have to worry about the paralysis and that Pokemon even being usable to remove Jirachi.

There are multiple issues with Jirachi's paraflinch tactics besides the obvious issue of it not working on Ground and Electric types. First, 100 is not bad, but it is easily outsped and killed by a number of relevant threats including Garchomp, Greninja, and most (if not all) relevant Dragon Dancers. Further, Steel's loss of resistance to Dark and Ghost also means it's weak to Aegislash's Shadow Sneak and Sucker Punch. In addition, Sticky Web is generally not used in OU because Bisharp takes complete advantage of it. Even if he's not on the team, Sticky Web users usually die after setting it (unless it's Shuckle), so it's not difficult to spin it away or Defog it. Honestly, if you can remove all the Sucker Punch users, Aegislash, all the Ground types, all the Electric types, and any fast attacker that outspeeds Jirachi, you probably deserve to win the battle.

That makes more sense. I guess I am still just wondering why this wasn't banned last gen since pretty much every reason listed is new to xy. But I guess you are right in that there are many top threats that can counter it if given the chance.

Just saying, Jirachi and Togekiss frequently use Body Slam to spread their paralysis rather than thunder wave.

Although, I don't really think paraflinch is up to the level of swagplay. Electric types are still immune (it's an entire type, rather than an obscure ability, not to mention that type happily resists both iron head and air slash), and given the opponent has to be constantly using air slash/iron head, they won't be behind a substitute (so you only have to break through once).

Swagger was mainly broken with Prankster. Yes, Jirachi is fairly quick, but requires support as it can't really switch in much any more thanks to ghost and dark spam, and even if it does now it has to especially worry about sucker punch. Bisharp, for example, walks all over a Jirachi trying to paraflinch it. Thundurus does too (and it can paralyze Jirachi, and also takes on Togekiss just fine), etc.

IMO I agree, it should have at least been suspected in past gens...but yeah, this gen actually did make it less of a problem.

When are the attributes (IVs, nature, etc.) of a roaming Pokemon decided? When it's first available, or the first time the player encounters it (or the actual capture battle for the XY birds)?

They are determined when you encounter it in battle. If you don't get the one you want, reset and try again.

Actually, Togekiss uses Serene Grace Air slash with twave, not body slam. Body Slam off base 50 attack isn't very good, and now that Togekiss dropped its Normal Typing, Body Slam does even less.

No, it uses Body Slam too, precisely because it can affect ground types as well and isn't blocked by taunt. The point isn't the damage, it's just the paralysis. It may not use it as much anymore, but it certainly used to.

I didn't want to ask this in the suspect page because it is most likely getting removed.

What kept "most" people, as far as I have read, voiting for Deoxys-S ban in the Second Suspect Test was because the offensive set realise on Psycho Boost and Superpower, which are lowering its offense after usage.
Did people just overlook its offensive potential or has something else changed in the meta making people want Deoxys-S to be removed from OU?

Yeah, basically this. I wasn't really into policy stuff back then, but from what I've gathered, back then it was almost exclusively used as a hazard setter, and it wasn't considered broken in this role. The LO revenge killer set only gained popularity afterwards.

What is the set for Specially Defensive Gliscor? Is it this:

Gliscor @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SDef
Careful Nature
- Earthquake
- Roost
- Taunt
- Toxic

Or is it something else?

Specially Defensive Gliscor???
Use:
Gliscor @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 64 Spd / 248 HP / 196 SDef
Careful Nature
- Earthquake / Knock Off
- Taunt
- Roost
- Toxic
64 Speed EV's are mandatory for outspeeding Mega-Tyranitar and Taunting it, outspeeding Bisharp and Earthquaking it, outspeeding Aegislash and Earthquaking + Taunting it, outspeeding Zapdos + Taunting it, and outspeeding Adamant Breloom and doing idk to it. Knock Off is also usable, as it allows Gliscor to flawlessly beat Gengar (who you wall, but otherwise cannot beat).

IIRC, all Mega Tyranitar run Jolly to out speed Greninja after a Dragon Dance. With 64 Speed EVs, Gliscor out speeds adamant but not jolly Mega Tyranitar. Was that an oversight?

I was just looking at the speed tier list, which apparantly listed Adamant Mega tar???? Okay then. Just disregard that.

Been iv breeding Swirlix. Was hoping to get one with unberden along the way, but have jusr been getting good ivs.
Anyone have a Swirlix with unberden for trade?

I know Deo-S is going to be ban, but I still want to ask you this : I understand why the Hazard lead should run HP+Def, because speed is useless (already outspeed the entire metagame), however why isn't the Dual screener the same ? Why should we run 252 Speed on a dual screener while the aim is to set up both sreens and SR ?

I am trying to create a team that is centered around my Dragonite, which is as follows:

Dragonite @ Lum Berry
Adamant Nature
252 Atk/252 Speed
-Outrage
-Fire Punch
-Earthquake
-Dragon Dance

Not every pokemon has to necessarily help Dragonite (i.e. Baton Passing, etc.) but I would like to know some ideal combinations. I only play singles.

I've been pointed in the direction of Excadrill (Fairy killer, Rapid Spin for SR), so what would be an ideal set for excadrill or any other Pokemon I should use?

for Excadrill, Iron Head (Kills fairies, flinch chance, STAB), Earthquake (Mandatory stab), Rapid Spin for SR, and Rock Slide.
Usually Air Balloon, 252 in Speed and Attack, and Adamant/Jolly.
