Remember this is only available if you're RNGing (or waiting for a shiny to randomly show up I suppose) it though, as Metagross line is genderless and so the ball does not pass when bred.
going to rng one in white 2 so i can stuff a bunch of tutor moves on it. going with jolly nature, since it seems like mega metagross is going to be able to out speed a decent amount of pokes.

Legal, but you definitely need to make sure the people you're trading them to know where they cam from.
Some people (myself included) don't want anything to do with that.
So I got a shiny Trapinch from Wonder Trade. Anyone want it? Trash IVs though.

Though if you're going for Mega Metagross...Quick ball would work amazingly well with the now gold X on its face.
Mega Metagross is supposed to get a significant speed boost and small boosts to its other stats.
With 5 stats to work with, I'd predict (assuming +100 points) +15 for each non-speed stat, +40 to speed (bringing it to Base 110).
Granted, I'm talking out of my ass, but if they're saying a significant speed boost and other Megas (Ampharos) give precedent for as much as +50, I assume it'll be at least fast enough to justify speed investment. I'm confident expecting at least Base 100.
