I'm not sure why someone would even consider using Phione over a good Manaphy, even if it's bred with somewhat better IVs. 20 additional base points in all stats is fairly significant, as well as Manaphy having a much much better movepool. The thing is though, that Manaphy is now Uber. There is no place for Phione in Uber play and Manaphy can't be used anywhere under Ubers. There's so much difference in their usability that you can't really use one in place of the other.

If Feebas doesn't evolve during it's next level up after maxing it's beauty, then it's not maxed. Feed it some more Poffins/Pokeblocks.

Hah, hopefully everyone can understand what I was trying to say..

Does Technician affect Gyro Ball? (Or Pursuit for that Matter)
Technician does not boost any move with variable power (that includes Gyro Ball, Hidden Power etc.)
Technician does boost Pursuit if it was not doing double damage (when the opponent does not switch), so it's 60 BP
When the does switch out, Pursuit is 80 BP and does not receive a boost from technician.

if a pokemon with guts is burned, what's the attack stat compared to the original? Does the burn still take effect and cut attack?

Often Dozes Off - HP
Likes To Thrash About - Atk
Capable Of Taking Hits - Def
Mischievous - SAtk
Somewhat Vain - SDef
Alert To Sounds - Speed

...yeah I memorized them >>;;

The stats used to calculate the final stats within the game.

My question: why do some trade threads say the pokemon "are not to be redistributed" ? I dont get it :S

Because they dont want their hard work being passed around smogon. Like if I had a 31/31/31/31/31/31 Bagon I wouldnt want everybody and his brother to have one, only the people who gave great stuff for it.

Basically 1 base stat = 2 actual stat points (with neutral nature). And 255 EVs add a total of 63 extra stat points to a stat. Nature multiplies by 1.1, or .9, depending on positive or negative

So heres a chart. Im starting at 5, only Shedinja has a lower base stat, and his doesnt count. Tells base stat on left, actual stat with 255 EVs on right

5- 109
10- 119
15- 129
.
.
.
50- 199
100- 299
120- 339
130- 359
134- 367
135- 369
140- 379

I think you get the idea. And this chart won't work for HP. HP is calculated differently.

on the turn that gliscor uses roost, will ice only be x2 effective because it loses its flying type?

when will it regain its flying type?is it at the end of the turn which he uses roost, or the start or end of the next turn??

thanks

Yes to your first question; Roosting Pokemon lose all the advantages and disadvantages of the Flying type if they are part Flying. Its type goes back to normal at the end of the turn it used Roost, so you need to be faster than your opponent to actually be affected by the type loss.

It goes like:

Gliscor used Roost! (50% restore)
Pokemon used Ice Beam! (does 2x damage)
Sandstorm, blah blah blah, end of turn
(now Gliscor regains its flying type)

i see, so if the ice beam user was faster than the gliscor, then it would be pretty much useless as he would get hit with x4 as well as regaining the flying type at the end of the turn?

edit - just read the previous post and that answered it, thanks :)

Can someone tell me or show me how the hp to power calculations work. I made something with flail endure and its work great but it does lose to quick attacks but I still love it and need to know how it works.
