Team Building Process -

I had decided to start off with a Mega Diancie, due to the fact I saw it's potential now that one of it's main checks / counters, Megagross is currently being suspected.

I decided to choose Conk as my next 'mon due to Diancie's HUGE weakness to steel types, so I wanted a 'mon that could resist, and take hits from steel types, as well as deal massive damage, so the first thing that came to my mind, was obviously Conk.

The next pokemon I settled for was Lando, I had chosen him mainly for talonflame considering that even though Diancie could switch in on it, it wouldn't appreciate a banded hit too well.

I had quickly realized my team was EXTREMELY weak to Azumarill, so I had to decide on something to completely counter it, I was originally leaning towards Toxicroak, but I then thought that would give me another weakness to Talon. Plus that defog capability sounded useful.

I had then realized I was lacking a Serp counter, which I was slightly weak to. I had decided on Volc due to it's potential as a setup sweeper.

I had soon realized I wanted a 'mon with volt switch to keep momentum, and as a scout. I was gonna use Rotom-Wash, but that would of given me another Serp weakness which I didn't want, so I decided on Galvantula due to It's speed, and added ability to set up Webs.

I had started testing this team out a little bit, and realized my team was really weak to Mega Venusaur, considering nothing I had could hit it well at all. I decided on replacing Volcarona for Gengar to fill this role, and keep that resistance to Serp.

Now, the Team
download (9).jpg

Diancie @ Diancite
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Rash Nature
- Rock Polish
- Moonblast
- Earth Power
- Diamond Storm

Diancie is in my opinion one of the best megas introduced in ORAS with that sweeping capability. Diancie fills the role of a setup sweeper, with Rock Polish, considering that monstrous Special Attack stat, and decent speed to go along with it, and also fills as an anti-lead with it's new ability Magic Bounce.
Conkeldurr @ Assault Vest
Ability: Guts
EVs: 108 HP / 216 Atk / 60 Def / 124 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Drain Punch
- Mach Punch
- Knock Off
- Poison Jab
Conkeldurr fits really nice along with M-Diancie, due to its nice steel resistance, with AV for Heatran, along with natural bulk for physical steel attackers. I have Knock Off, in place of Ice Punch to catch Gengars on a switch in, or if Conk isn't required it survives a hit from it and can sac it off. The rest of his moves are for STAB and fairy coverage.

Infernape @ Life Orb
Ability: Iron Fist
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Mach Punch
- Flare Blitz
- Close Combat
- U-Turn / Thunder Punch / Earthquake
Infernape is my main steel resist, and is an insanely hard hitter, along with an amazing speed stat. I carry Mach Punch for priority, Flare Blitz for STAB and a really hard-hitting move, same with Close Combat. I carry And I can't really decide between the last moves considering thunder punch could be for waters, U-Turn for momentum, or EQ for coverage. Suggestion by Soulblaster

Landorus-Therian (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- U-turn
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide

- Knock Off
Scarfed Lando is used mainly for speed control, and a nice revenge killer. He can also fill as a Talonflame counter, and a momentum killer. Knock Off is for utility, and the ability to knock off Eviolites, EQ for STAB, Rock Slide over stone edge for accuracy.

Empoleon @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 252 HP / 244 Def / 4 SpA / 8 SpD
Bold Nature
- Defog
- Stealth Rock
- Scald
- Flash Cannon
Empoleon is my defensive tank, and defogger. He is also the only 'mon on my team that can set up rocks. Scald and Flash Cannon are for stab and burn + SpD drop chances.
images (4).jpg

Gengar @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid N
ature
- Taunt
- Thunderbolt
- Shadow Ball
- Sludge Wave
Gengar is my fast sweeper, it has the most coverage on my team, aswell as being the fastest besides Lando. Gengar is also my main fairy check.
images (5).jpg

Galvantula @ Focus Sash
Ability: Compound Eyes
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Sticky Web

- Bug Buzz
- Volt Switch
- Hidden Power [Ice]
Galvantula is my sashed lead for scouting purposes, and Sticky Web for utility. Bug Buzz is carried for STAB aswell as Psychic types, and HP Ice for the major Dragons of the tier.
Threat List -

If allowed to setup a Belly Drum this thing practically sweeps through my whole team.
Reserved for future threats after more testing.

You really only need 84 or 88 Spe EVs on Diancie, so dump the rest into Hp. (172)
Don't run HP Ice on Galvantula, run Bug Buzz, or switch out Volt Switch for it.
No Thunderbolt on Gengar, try Destiny Bond, Taunt, or Giga Drain.
Instead of Poison Jab, run Knock Off on Conkeldurr.
Also, make your descriptions a bit longer.

hope it helps.

I already run knock off on Conk, but I'll take the rest into consideration, thanks!

Hey man, good job on making your first RMT! I have some suggestions.

First of all, I personally disagree with Rainbow + 's recommendation on the Diancie Speed EVs. In situations where you're facing off something like Gengar or Keldeo, you really want max Speed as you won't be granted a free Rock Polish.

If you want something to take care of Steel-types more reliably than Conkeldurr, you might try out using Keldeo or Infernape. Conkeldurr does not actually resist Steel-type attacks, so either a SubCM Keldeo (which is a huge threat in OU atm) or mixed Infernape could be really good for your team. These are the sets:

Keldeo @ Leftovers
Ability: Justified
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Substitute
- Calm Mind
- Scald
- Secret Sword

Infernape @ Life Orb
Ability: Iron Fist
EVs: 168 Atk /88 SpA /252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Fire Blast / Flare Blitz
- Close Combat
- Mach Punch
- Grass Knot / Hidden Power Ice / Thunder Punch

On the Infernape set, Flare Blitz is an option for hitting harder in general, but gives some more recoil. Grass Knot hits physically defensive Pokemon such as Hippowdon better as well. It also hits Mega Swampert. Hidden Power Ice can damage gliscor, lando-t, garchomp, and dragonite badly, and is another serious option. Thunder Punch hits water-types such as Gyarados and Keldeo harder.

Furthermore, for Lando-T, you could consider using Stone Edge over Rock Slide. I know it has less accuracy and stuff, but this Lando-T set needs to hit as hard as possible, and Stone Edge helps with that. Knock Off over Superpower is also recommended by me, it has a ton of utility, crippling stuff such as Latios/Latias, and heavily-item reliant Pokemon such as Chansey and Porygon2. Earthquake hits Chansey and Porygon2 as hard as Superpower with Eviolite does anyway, and it doesn't lower Attack / Defense.

Gengar doesn't really need Psychic, it formes redundant coverage. Taunt is much better, as it completely shuts down stall Pokemon and allows Gengar to beat them after.

Lastly, for Galvantula, either replace Volt Switch or Thunder with Bug Buzz. Bug Buzz is a very useful secondary STAB attack which hits a variety of types for good damage. I personally would replace Thunder as otherwise, your VoltTurn core is ruined.

Hope I helped!

Thanks, I think I'll probably switch out thunder with bug buzz, and great point with the superpower. I'll probably consider replacing Conk for Infernape, due to the fact my team mainly consists of Special attackers

Also I'll be making the switch to taunt over Psychic, cause I like Tbolt for birdspam, or bulky waters

Also Poison Jab on Conk is pretty decent Rainbow + because Conkeldurr lures in Clefable and other Fairy-types and you 2HKO it after it switches in. Ice Punch could be used for Dragons too but Poison Jab also is a solid option to me.

i dont think u need that much speed on diance since u do have rock polish. unless u wanna outspeed something b4 u rockpolish. u should run enough speed for adamnt or jolly drill in sand that way u outspeed after rock polish and u have sticky web 2. u should run enough att for zapdos 2 get okoed with diamond storm. unless it is already a okho im not sure.
