SPOILERS! Mysteries and Conspiracies of Pokemon

If we want to be literal, though: they can't really include eating Pokemon in the anime or games, as this is a child's game :P but for discussion purposes, huh that really does sound odd. Because it's from the game world, I think we can assume that Blissey are just really rare, as they aren't in every Pokemon center like they are in the anime.

Blissey aren't being eaten, but its eggs are. And these aren't the same as Happiny or Chansey eggs since even Blissey eat them (Soft-Boiled).

EDIT: Wow, 750 posts. And most of them since last summer.

That begs the point...if one is eaten, how quick would it be until it regenerates?

I'd assume almost instantly considering how important the eggs are to them. Probably as soon as its body notices the egg pouch is empty (or there could also be a mental thing), it produces another one which quickly develop.

This is just an odd thought, and I don't know if it has been posted before. Mew is supposed to contain the DNA of every Pokemon, which would appear to include Arceus and other creation gods, as it can transform into them. Does this mean Mew is partially responsible for creating the universe?

No. It doesn't even contain the DNA of them all, and was only ever thought as such because of learning virtually every move. (though now it doesn't get the elemental pledges, beams, or Draco Meteor) Ditto can Transform into whatever it sees, doesn't mean it too could possibly have the DNA of every Pokemon.

Pokedex entries explain Mew has the DNA of every Pokemon. Ditto's Pokedex entries explain it copies the structure from opponents.

And we've shown that the Pokédex has elements that are sketchy at best. Things like Slugma being hotter than the surface of the sun, for instance.

A very valid point there.

I'm still wondering what the original form of the legendary dragon (BW/B2W2) would look like. Would it be elements of Reshiram, Zekrom, and Kyurem all in one, or would it be something entirely different? And what type would it have, considering it split into fire, electric, and ice?

Pretty sure it's only thought that because it learns all kinds of moves, but as Vader_the_White has pointed out, the Pokedex entries usually need to be taken with a grain of salt... or a Snorlax's weight of the stuff. And since the only things ever done with Mew's DNA to date has been recombining it over and over to create Mewtwo...

Probably some combination of all three Kyurem forms, and pure Dragon.

Honestly, with the typing representing energy (Fire and Electric), I would be surprised if it "melted" Kyurem's Ice and made it Water/Dragon.

I imagine a Draconian Fire/Electric type of Pokemon. Dragon typing probably came into the halfs because Dual-Types for Legends seems to be a thing in most cases. Kyurem's Ice typing is based on emptiness, Ice/Cold being the absence of heat or energy (which Zekrom and Reshiram carry). Alternatively, Kyurem is more like an animated corpse of the dragon.

I think it's not that Mew contains the DNA of every Pokemon but every Pokemon has DNA linking it back to Mew as their ancestor. If I'm allowed to theorize, Arceus created the Mew species to spread throughout the Pokemon World with the ability to radically evolve depending on the environment they choose to inhabit. Over hundreds of millions of years the Mew species has evolved to all the Pokemon species we know about (except for a small few who continually bred generations after generations of Mew).
Now thinking about, maybe this ability to radically evolve is why Pokemon are able to evolve as they do. It's a modified/lesser version of the Mew's species ability to evolve into a completely new species.

There's a fan theory that Ditto are actually Mews who failed to "evolve" correctly.

I agree with Detective Barricade about it being pure Dragon. As for it looking like a combination of the 3, I don't know. Obviously it'll resemble Kyurem since it's what's left of the original Dragon, but I can only imagine it having scant bits of Reshiram and Zekrom in its design.
While it would be pure Dragon, I would think it maybe having an Ability that powers up its Fire-, Electric-, and Ice-type moves (most likely as a result of it having split and gaining elemental powers). As I picture it its stats would probably be 720 (equal to Arceus) and being super offensive, think Rayquaza but maybe slower.
Alternatively it could be Kyurem's Mega Evolution making its BST into 760 giving it a bit more wiggle room.

Sheer force powers up a lot of electric, fire, and ice attacks.

As for Kyurem itself, in-game text describes it as an empty husk leftover when the legendary dragon split in two. Pokedex entries (I know they aren't particularly reliable) state its energy leaked out, which I assume is due to not having anything to stand for, like the other two tao dragons.

Also, just saying, although there may be some questionable pokedex entries and we can't really prove the pokedex entries right, but we can't really prove them wrong either(without crossing canons), so really it's one of our best sources when theorizing about Pokemon mysteries.

I find it a bit strange for Barry to be having a Heracross and Snorlax in the Gen 4 games. I mean, those are two Pokémon that require the honey trees in order to find them, but above all else, they involve waiting, the one thing that Barry makes clear that he hates doing. He's practically a Vigoroth when it comes to being energetic, so why the heck would he be waiting around for god-knows how many hours just for a Munchlax to show its face? It just doesn't make sense to me :/

He runs around so much that he easily makes it back to EVERY tree and still gets ahead of you before you get to the next town.

Well, the anime helped to clear that one up at least.

Still doesn't explain why his Heracross changes abilities in Pokémon Platinum though . . .

He's so hyper, it wears off on his Pokemon, causing his Heracross to spontaneously burst into a different Heracross. (It's a joke, mm'kay?)

Prior to gen 6, Azurill could change gender when it evolved into Marill. I don't want to think about how that works out...

Some frogs can change their gender. I always thought it would work like that.

Or, in the immortal words of Jeff Goldblum from Jurassic Park:
