So the mafia had two reasons to kill him?ugh reading Celever's posts by proxy
Not necessarily weighing in, but not gonna let something I caught go missed.
Not WAS Celever, was either... then or. I know you think this catch was super clever but it'd be more clever if your reading comprehension was better.
Yeah, seriously Spiffy. Stop role fishing.d1 spiffy gets accused of role fishing
d2 spiffy asks announcer to identify himself
It's very logical to try and place yourself in the shoes of your enemies to see how they would act. Doesn't everyone do that? Including Spiffy. So the mafia had two reasons to kill him?
HD, Spiffy's interpretation of the nightkills is simple and in the dark -- a townie's interpretation. Yours is like you know more.
I don't know what's bothering you, but this vagueness of the roles is gonna make life a lot more difficult for mafia.IS HAUNTED SHADOW CLAIMING ANNOUNCER YES OR NO
The anonymity of having a presumably town voice can be beneficial. Is there serious harm in asking the announcer to identify themselves? It's not a role that really matters. Someone correct me if I'm wrong somehow, but it'd be fine by me to have a clean town at least for today (unless we wish to save that for a more clutch time).
OK then. Why did you say what you did, if anyone could think of it? Your three points were:It's very logical to try and place yourself in the shoes of your enemies to see how they would act. Doesn't everyone do that? Including Spiffy.
Also, it's not like I said something extraordinary. Anyone could have thought of that.
"Hi everybody! I'm the village announcer! While I'm sad to see the Safeguard go, judging by how the day went, it could so easily have been me instead, so here's hoping we don't repeat the same mistakes tomorrow!"
Sure. The anonymity of having a presumably town voice can be beneficial.
OK then. Why did you say what you did, if anyone could think of it? Your three points were:
1) LightWolf looked like a Power Role
2) No one would be bodyguarding him
3) They wanted to make a scene out of it
Explain all 3. You came up with the points, you should have no trouble finding evidence for your points.
uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..... I was expecting you to slip up on that one somehow. That's all very reasonable.............................................Sure.
1) His way of posting and low number of posts was similar to how power roles play the game.
2) He wasn't prominant enough for the body guard to notice him.
3) I explained it already. To use the opportunity and incriminate someone, like me or spiffy.
"Hi everybody! I'm the village announcer! While I'm sad to see the Safeguard go, judging by how the day went, it could so easily have been me instead, so here's hoping we don't repeat the same mistakes tomorrow!"
Care to explain why you are lynching me? Also how did you go from this:Ok well I'm not gonna let you get away with another day of claiming a power role and nothing else so
Unvote Fatecrashers
Vote Haunted Diamond
We can't just allow him to coast through the whole fucking game like this.
to suddenly a buddy to celver? Not opposed to a von or Celever lynch atm
uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..... I was expecting you to slip up on that one somehow. That's all very reasonable.............................................
(what do I do now?)
To be clear, Announcer should not reveal themselves (unless it is Haunted Diamond) because it narrows down the mafia's ability to randkill or randinspect (if they have one) our cop.
Also explain how this isn't conforming to town after a scumslip. I'm all ears.If it wasn't obvious, if anyone other than Haunted Diamond made the announcements then please make that known.
Spiffy said:Previous post was written right after Day 1 ended except for the last paragraph, which is why the Haunted Diamond stuff is there. While mafia announcer has existed previously, I'd say it's pretty safe to assume he's clean for now.
Thinking about it, he could also very easily be the mafia announcer. The reason he doesn't want to claim it being that he thinks it is a role usually on the mafia because this is his first game and it's on the mafia (happens too often with new players...) so thinks he'll be lynched if he outright claims.I am not voting for you because of Celever's reasoning. I am voting for you because you're getting by with saying "I'm a power role" despite how you only said it to get the heat off you then disappeared with out a trace. I think you should claim, ESPECIALLY if you're something as useless as announcer (which you seem to be implying but not outright stating which is also very anti-town). I want to know what everyone else thinks about this.
There wasn't much reason to lynch me for to begin with (except for inactive townies or mafias jumping on a train that had already stopped when I defended myself)I am not voting for you because of Celever's reasoning. (the whole thing is in page 19 if anyone wants to dig through it)To answer, I misunderstood your story. I thought you said that in response to the allegations about your flip to Cancerous, not the Jalmont stuff.
I feel like von's out of the gate blame the cancerous voters seemed staged and kind of mafia-ish. The whole "look here guys, not over here behind the curtain" thing rubs me the wrong way. The mafia is just as likely to have voted for cancerous as they were to have voted for someone else they knew/felt was in the minority to get lynched or to have not voted at all to avoid being linked to anything. There was no tie in the vote that was influenced. We pretty much all kind of went on Cancerous as a small group for the same reasons despite knowing the risks. And in the face of the choices and lack of leadership it is what it was. Just ran out of time and we already all decided a lynch had to go on.
