FB Cacturne - A threat?

As Cacturne being one of the UU or nearly hitting BL in D/P, it actuall poses a great threat, now I got this moveset like 2 months ago here, someone posted it, I tried on Shoddy and it worked great.

Anyway here it is.

Cacturn @ Focus Sash
Swords Dance
Sucker Punch
Counter
Seed bomb

Basically, you Swords dance and then Sucker punch, and it's like a CBed Megahorn from a Heracross, As you get STAB from Sucker Punch, another great thing is Sucker Punch always goes first, so you can lead with it or send it in as a revenge killer. I've been recieving alot of comments on this moveset on my youtube people say it's cheesey but I want to know you views.

If the opening pokémon isnt a good target, just counter them and hang on with FB, there's also seed bomb for some support, I've swept 5 teams with this Cacturne and one's on my youtube channel ;P

Anyway views etc

needs focus sash, which i think you meant, not too new, it can work, but it didn't do the damage i was hoping to with it when i used it on wifi.
oh, and focus punch is also useable if you're excellent at prediction, and it's more fun since this cacturne is all about prediction. seed bomb helps against swampert and hippowdon i guess

ive seen this in use on shoddy it was good but if you predict suckerpunch it becomes a problem but as a revenge killer it works very very well i think it would pown in ubers as well lol

If you use Focus Band you're not even guaranteed to survive once.

At least with Focus Sash you know you can take one hit instead of relying on the 10% (Maybe 20?) chance of surviving each time.

I find that Cacturne gets OHKO'd to easily so FB is better IMO
uh.... focus band is teribly, teribly gimmicky and unreliable with 1/8 chance of surviveing. Focus sash seems to be supeior

EDIT: to show you what we mean, I'll also say that with focus sash you have a 100% chance surviveing at full health, but focus band has a 1/8 of saving you, and if your wanting to survive again, It's a 1/64... Also you used a focus sash in your vids, is this just a typo?

EDIT... AGAIN: Your post is really being mocked at, and I really like this set, I would suggest changeing just to stop the teasing.

if you're using focus band, might as well play sandstream and add bright powder. if they can't hit you, you dont have to worry about surviving ._.

Omg. I used this same set for a while on Shoddy bout a month ago and it was superb. noone expects it. SR really ruins this so I send it out before , or have to RS away. but anyway its a good set and most defensive walls( not skarmory), like donphan and slowbro and bulky waters will loathe to switch int o Seed bomb. I love Cacturne <3

What would be the point of keeping counter if you were using the Brightpowder anyways? You're much better off switching counter to something that works better with the new item. I have no idea what that might be, since I'm no Cacturne expert, but replacing it would be a smart thing to do.

Hmm, I think I like this idea. Stealth Rock and Spikes, as has been said, is a problem, but the Sandstorm immunity is a big plus. With defensive moves like Toxic and Confuse Ray becoming rarer and rarer, this could really decimate. Of course, Sucker Punch still probably won't kill anything that resists Dark, but if you time Cacturne's entry correctly, you can just get rid of them with Counter instead.

Wtf, I battled a Milotic on PBR who hung on with FB three times in a row. So the second time it hung on, it had a 1/64 chance. The third time was a 1/4096 chance then? Talk about hax.
Anyway, I like this set alot and have used it a few times on Shoddy. It's fun to use. After the first time you use SP people usually catch on and avoid attacking, in that time you can SD up then just hit at the right time.

no it would be 1/512 chance.

Thats still a lot of hax :/

This is actually quite cool because thanks to Sand Veil, Cacturne is immune to Sandstorm. I've always loved the style of Cacturne but it's so hard to fit it into a team.

I've used this set with amazing results with Focus Sash instead of Focus Band and Focus Punch over Counter. Swords Dance and survive with Focus Sash, Sucker Punch rape the pokemon in atm, and then when they set something in to whirlwind or set up or something, FP them.

I used it on my Sandstream team as well, and Sand Veil is a nice addition to Cacturne's arsenal. He was easily the MVP of my team (beating out DDTar, SpecsGar, and Endreversal Lucario), and that team was really all I used on Shoddy.

ive used this pokemon and it was amazing for me!! I use the moveset in the OP, and every match out of 30 barring maybe 2, its got me a kill.
Very, very underrated poke imo.
EDIT: Formatting

I was the one to kill Mysterious Stallion's Cacturne without dying >.>

anyhow, it's a good idea when it's a surprise, but given infinite knowledge (or at least a comprehensive idea of what Cacturne can do) it is easily side-steppable.
