I have a good Modest Squirtle in a Dive Ball. Take a look at it in my trade thread here. If the Squirtle is to your liking and you have something interesting that's in my general wants, don't hesitate to leave a reply :)

I've been doing some stupid stuff for a future trade thread so I have been going through my friend safari's catching every single female possible with HA (stupid Eevee). Either ways I can catch you a bulbusuar in a heal ball. If you have some cool fossil pokemon in rare balls we can work out a very cool trade I think you would like:). If you don't though that's fine and I'll work something out with you:)

I have dream ball omanyte and aerodactyl. either of those work?

You might already know this and it's probably too late, but using a male lead with Cute Charm makes encounters have a 66% chance for female.

I already knew that but I wanted to catch it with HA and in each poke ball possible. That's why it took a while. Thanks for the advice:)
Edit: I also have been using a male cute charmer like you told me to last time so I took your advice previously as well:)

Was planning on SRing a Timid Virizion, though I was wondering if it absolutely needed HP Fire? Thanks!

HP Ice would be a keep too. Quick Guard can be a viable third move for VGC/doubles if you manage to get a good one without an useful HP.

Though an all-out attacking set would really need Hidden Power for coverage, since special Virizion only gets Grass-type moves, Focus Blast and Snore/Round/Hyper Beam otherwise. lol

Casual question: do any of you who breed Pokemon do it moreso for the sake of breeding or for adding something to your collection than you do for actually using it? I swear about 95% of the time I spend in in-game competitive stuff is either breeding, training or just staring at my 'mons fondly. The other 5 is battling :/ is this weird? Even online, I prefer just reading stuff and participating in discussions and theorymonning than laddering. Anybody else in the same boat?

For me, building teams and actually using them against other people is the most fun. (training them is no hassle, because I have as many Rare Candies, vitamins, PP Ups and EV berries as I need thanks to cloning / QR code exploiting)
Collecting monsters is a distant second.
Breeding and soft resetting doesn't even make that list. I do most of my breeding and hunting, while waiting for the bus or sitting on the train to kill time. Breeding used to be fun... a long time ago.

I breed for my collection lol. I'm a hoarder and I never actually end up battling because of it. xD So yeah, I'm kinda in the same boat.

I used to breed for battling, but I haven't battled in ages and now I'm what you call a noob xD (I really should get back to it, but I don't like getting my ass kicked in showdown xD)
So now I really do it for collection, I rarely use any of my mons, except I try to use some of them for teams in the battle maison

I breed mainly for collection and occasionally EV training some of the 'mons I've already bred. I rarely battle with the 'mons I train. I'm more of a trader than battler.

I enjoy battling a lot, and that's why I do it. I'm not a top tier battler, but I do consider myself quite good. I personally enjoy breeding and trading a lot too, maybe even more, but I wouldn't be doing it if battling didn't exist. It's not that I use all the Pokemon I breed for battling; in fact, about 80% of the Pokemon I breed won't ever get used in a battle, as they lose trade value when they're not untouched. Luckily I know people who can clone, so I can just train a copy of the Pokemon. I guess I just like the satisfaction I get from finishing a potentially perfectly viable Pokemon with valuable egg moves.

Collector here. I rarely battle. I've played like 3 battles on my DS so far. I trade for stuff that'll end up in my PC forever. Why trade for SRed legends when you aren't even going to use them? I want them in my PC to stare at.

For me, it's the journey to get the Pokémon I play for. The thrill of when manipulating the RNG is going the way you want; the fun of messing around with new techniques like TSV hatching and TMBM; or just the relaxing monotony of SRing legends or DexNaving. Once I have the Pokémon they're largely just there to serve as a memory of the fun/excitement I had on the way to getting it.

Maybe a weird question, but I'm looking for a guy whose in-game name is Seth. He once traded me a spitback Croagunk in a Dive Ball, and he allowed me to use it as a parent for my BP. I want to thank him for it in my trade thread, but I completely forgot what his name on Smogon is. Does anyone know who I'm talking about.

Wow, besides the expected "I like/dislike battling" idea this is the one I have the toughest time getting my head around! For me, the journey is important, in that it's what I spend most of my time doing - but I only get satisfaction or enjoyment after finishing off the Pokemon, nicknaming it and putting it in the box besides its brothers/sisters/aunts/mother/sometimes both. Or using it in a battle and seeing it work effectively! I think that's likely where I get any battle enjoyment - using fun or interesting or just reliable sets and seeing the effort I put in come to fruition... which is also probably why I don't like the simulators as much, besides for testing teams. (And also why I don't like Hippowdon, I think I must not be using it correctly because it just gets mauled by powerful attacks every time I send it out.) But all that breeding stuff, and all the prep, blehh! So boring. But I'm okay with doing boring stuff if they payoff is worth it. Plus it must be kind of addictive or I wouldn't keep doing it.* It's kind of great that everybody finds their own stuff to get interested in while playing. It's the variety I appreciate.
*except for hidden power ice raikou, that thing has been a bitch and its been half a year and two shinies later and still nothing >:O

The only real battling I've done in ORAS so far was the Enter the Dragon Type Battle Competition, and that was just so I could get the Amaura Code to trade with, haha. I keep telling myself I'll get into the VGC, the problem is that until recently I've found the metagame to be way too centralized (especially in XY, everyone just beating each other up with Mega Kangaskhan doesn't sound like any fun to me at all). I've always been a collector, and just having cool things in my bank is enough for me. I'm currently breeding VGC viable Pokemon to just stick in my box, but hopefully that will make team building easier if I decide to start learning that.

Anyone have this Skiddo or would be willing to breed it? I'd be happy to offer something from my thread for it (shiny or legend):

I think I have something similar in my Bank except Adamant. I could do it if you'd like.

I love collecting. I also really love teambuilding....generally, this is as far as I get. It's why i love online competitions so much because it actually motivates me to use things...

Although in all seriousness, 95% of my time spent in the pokemon world is spent soft resetting. I've been playing pokemon for nearly 20 years, and never learned to RNG. I realized once I got things up to gen 6 that the most competitive thing I had ever obtained was a Conkeldurr with like...28/31/30/x/27/31 stats/ I had literally BOXES of legends and events that between about 90 pokemon, had 3 or 4 total flawless IVs....It's like now, I get to remedy that.

Looks like it may have come from APurpose though I can't be 100% on that
Edit: 01718 would be the ID number
