When statused, the enemy is also statused.

If another Pokemon inflicts Burn, Paralysis, or Poison on the ability-bearer, then the enemy receives the status as well. Toxic Poison is passed on as regular Poison. Self-induced status is not passed on.

Starmie @ Life Orb / Focus Sash / Wet Rock
Rain Dance
Thunder/Ice Beam
Surf
Recover/Rapid Spin

Can be support or sweeper. Starmie isn't a pushover with moderate 60/85/85 defences and recover so it can setup effectively. Thunder is an obvious choice but you might want Ice beam if you really fear Dragons so much. Surf effectively becomes a Choice Banded hit against a Pokemon weak against it (around 2.9 times). I'd normally say Timid but Modest would let you invest some EVs elsewhere.

I'll do some calcs later and do a thread on it.

Well, it isn't too creative, but it isn't on the analysis and I run it sometimes so...

Pokemon: Crobat
name: LOBat
move 1: Hypnosis
move 2: Brave Bird
move 3: Pursuit
move 4: U-turn
item: Life Orb
ability: Inner Focus
nature(s): Jolly/Adamant
evs: 252atk/252spd/4hp

Bring this in on one of its 4x resists or EQ. Or start with it. Doesn't provide much coverage but with some good resistances can rip shit up. If it can't then can put in a quick sleep and U-turn to run away.

I'm newer, so could someone explain why is this an illegal moveset?

There is no Pokemon that Crobat breeds with that can know both Brave bird and Hypnosis therefore they can't both be passed down. In fact you can't have any two out of Pursuit, Brave Bird and Hypnosis.

Pokemon: Roserade
name: Scarfrade
move 1: Sleep Powder
move 2: Energy Ball
move 3: Leaf Storm
move 4: Sludge Bomb
item: Choice Scarf
ability: Natural Cure
nature(s): Modest
evs: 44 HP/252 SAttk/212 Spd

You can throw in Weather Ball or an HP somewhere, but this is what I use. It works great as a lead for a quick sleep.

Pokemon: Raichu
name: LeadChu
move 1: Fake Out
move 2: Volt Tackle/Thunder Punch
move 3: Brick Break/Focus Punch
move 4: Protect/Thunder Wave/Encore
item: Muscle Band/Life Orb
ability: Static
nature(s): Jolly
evs: 44 HP/252 SAttk/212 Spd

Physical Raichu lead in UU/BL. Fake Out for a free hit/ruins Focus Sash users, followed possibly by Protect to scout.Thunder Wave is an option over Protect if you're more sure in your prediction.

I'd use Thunder Punch if you go with Life Orb, or Volt Tackle with Muscle Band for recoil damage purposes. Brick Break provides a counter to Rock/Steel switch ins, although they'll likely take it fairly well. Focus Punch is far superior if you're able to scout with Protect, or..

Encore is a popular choice for Raichu, catching those that people they may stat up on Raichu off guard. This also makes Focus Punch an easier option.

Pokemon: Cloyster
Name: LOyster
Move 1: Clamp
Move 2: Icicle Spear
Move 3: Explosion
Move 4: Spike Cannon
Nature: Adamant
Item: Life Orb
EV's: 152 HP / 252 Attack / 104 Speed

Basic strategy is to receive an Agility pass and then sweep. With this set, Clamp becomes a 262 BP move, thanks to Skill Link + STAB. That combined with a 412 Attack stat (Life Orb) equals A LOT of pain. Explosion is for when LOyster gets low in HP. Idk, might be more of a novelty set than a useful one, but I think the fact that Cloyster gets a 262 BP move deserves it to get a little more attention than a simple defensive wall. 2HKO's Skarm all of the time, and has a slight chance to OHKO Blissey. Could really benefit from an Attack boost pass, too.

Clamp becomes a 262 BP move, thanks to Skill Link + STAB

i don't really follow your logic.. it's only 35 base, and clamp is a 2-5 turn move. stab and skill link together won't make it anywhere close to what you're suggesting.. not to mention that you're going to be lucky to get all 5 clamps to hit before you die no matter what, especially against skarmory. skarm will spike/rock up and whirlwind you out.

i'm still trying to figure out what you meant..

[ABILITY]
Skill Link
[SHORT DESC]
Multi-hit move will always hit for the maximum amount.
[LONG DESC]
Whenever this Pokemon uses an attack that normally hits 2-5 times in a turn, it will always hit 5 times.

if i'm wrong, someone correct me, please..

35 * 1.5= 52.5
52.5(STAB is included)* 5(due to skill link if it works for clamp)

= 262.5(rounds down to 262)

yeah but that's not dmg done in one turn, that's over 5 turns. it's not like all 5 turns of clamp come and attack in one turn. what skill link does is it makes sure that you get to hit 5 times, not just 3 or 4. so it's really just 52.5, with i guess a total of 262.5 if your opponent allows you to hit all 5 times.

on a tangent, earlier in this thread i posted a registeel set i'm using in a ss/sr/spikes team i'm using. counter/toxic/rest berry/stealth rock. registeel's defenses are 150 def/150 sdef. would regirock do this job better? he would, of course, have different weaknesses, but being rock in sandstorm, his sdef would be higher and his base defs are 200 def/100 sdef. my team is skarm / ttar / garchomp / dusknoir / regi / starmie.
thanks!

Pokemon: Flareon
Name: ...Curse!?!
Move 1: Curse
Move 2: Wish
Move 3: Fire Fang
Move 4: Return / Iron Tail / Bite
Item: Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
Nature: Careful
EVs: Uhh... probably 252 HP / Some into Sp Def or Attack and such (sorry, I have to physically test this out).

Yup, Flareon. The outshadowed Eevee-lution, minus Eevee. Alright, so we have (In HP/Atk/Def/SA/SD/SPD Order)- 65/130/60/95/110/65. Not bad as far as the Special Defense, but that Attack... *Drools*. The problem? Ever saw a Flareon's movepool? It iz le shitz. Anyways, what this tries to do is make Flareon tank-ish. Using Curse a couple of times ensure some survivalbility (hopefully) against huge threats. Wishing is key to keep damage from getting to you. Cursing will allow Fire Fang to do some moderate damage. Since Steels are the least of your problems, Return seems good. However, there's the damn Rocks blowing your way, and Iron Tail would probably be the only viable option to them, but then once again Water will get to you. The other option to hit them both neutral? Bite. Yes, we're using what's probably the better of his movepool, minus Special Attacks.

Eh, probably not the greatest, but Curse is pretty good. Tickle and Will-O-Wisp can fill in somewhere to keep Physical hits from getting toward you. Basically the goal is to steal a Fire attack, and set up (hopefully).

CHECK OUT MY KINGLER!

ENDgler

Kingler @ Salac Berry
Adamant Nature
EVs: 166 HP, 252 ATK, 92 SPD
Moveset:
Swords Dance
Endure
Flail
Crabhammer

There are very few pokemon who can actually wall this pokemon. He can end up sweeping in good scenarios in UU/BL. The only problem is that he cannot handle OU, because priority moves are everywhere, sandstorm is vicious, and status is very important. Status wrecks this pokemon, but I don't know how to get around that.

EV's in attack because, come on. Speed to outrun unscarfed pokemon, HP to lift it's defense tier enough to take some hits to get a Swords Dance or two off before Enduring.

I'm still working on it, I also need some help with the speed EV's, kingler should hit 418 speed if the salac berry sharply raises as I assume it does (Just enough to pass max electrode), but I need to outrun some scarfed pokemon without losing too many EV's in HP, some attack can go but it's really necessary, anyone care to help?

Something ive been looking at recently;

Salamence @ Leftovers
Calm/Careful
252 hp/40 Def/216 Special Def
Toxic
Protect/Fire move
Roost
Dragon Pulse/Dragon Claw

Evs generate best defensive spread (factoring intimidate), Toxic the bulky whatever that comes in, protect and roost for revovery and scouting, dragon move is filler. A fire move could go over protect for steels I guess.

I just like the idea of toxic on mence since im always met by a bulky water when using it :/

That kinda reminds me of Advance Wishmence. I'd invest some in Defense, though, seeing as Salamence is in a relatively good position to counter Heracross.

I apologize, I thought that Clamp worked the same way as Fury Swipes...I didn't realize that it worked like Fire Spin and Whirlpool.

I never saw THIS in the hitmontop section. It's been giving me great success on Shoddy

Hitmontop @ Lum Berry/leftovers
-Technician
Adamant Nature 252 HP/252ATK/6 DEF

Mach Punch
Rapid Spin/Pursuit
Aerial Ace
Revenge/Triple Kick

I BPassed one swords dance to him and 6-0 an OU team. Classic.

Mixed Crawdaunt @ Quick Claw/Leftovers/Lum Berry
-Hyper Cutter
Brave/Naughty Nature 252 DEF/252 ATK/6 HP

Crunch/Night Slash
Crabhammer/Waterfall
Ice Beam
Swords Dance

If you can get him set up, (with agility or Trick room, if you run Brave) he can sweep entire teams. I have 2 warstories of doing just that. If theres no "hax" item clause, go for Quick Claw and forget the set up. You can squeeze around 3 kills outta it with some luck.

Probably pretty standard for Ninetales, but here goes

Ninetales @ Leftovers/Lum Berry/Heat Rock
-Flash Fire
Modest Nature
252 SP. ATK/252 SPD/6 HP

Flamethrower
Energy Ball/Solarbeam
HP water
Nasty Plot/Sunny Day

The sunny beaming thing works pretty good, but if you dont like that, go for nasty plot and energy ball

Well, theres my 2 cents. Enjoy.

Hey thunderpup. :) Supporting the enemy crab, eh? :naughty:

Well, since Salac doesnt boost sharply, maybe putting some of that HP into speed, or going Jolly.

Kingler has 75 base speed, which is OK. Maybe if you went Jolly, invested enough EVs to get 240 speed (118 EVs) he could get 360 after Salac. This is enough to outrun MOST Pokemon. Check out the list, I'm sure you'll agree. Just 23 max speed pokemon could outspeed that beast :D
