(Little) Things that annoy you in Pokémon

Another thing that the GTS could do is only show you trade offers that you have the pokemon to go through with the trade on. This would get rid of all the requests for illegal pokemon (unless, of course, you hack in a level 9 Zekrom or some such, in which case you deserve to have to deal with all those requests).
There is a feature in it that does this. I've used it multiple times, though I still got stupid requests when all I was trying to do was get a Meowth without having to use Gen V's Poké Transfer.

95% accurate moves are just... annoying. Like, okay I can get moves like Blizzard and Focus Blast having 70% accuracy or so to give a significant risk involved in using them; but the risk involved in pulling off an Air Slash is nearly negligible and the 5% chance to miss just comes in as annoying and bloody pointless. What's honestly the point???
Remember when Tackle was 95% accurate? That was literally the worst especially because it was your main source of damage for most Pokemon in the beginning of the game. Thank god they buffed the accuracy and power so it's even decent in the mid-game for physical attackers.

Meanwhile, Scratch (Charmander, Totodile, Torchic, Chimchar) and Pound (Treecko, Piplup) didn't have such problems. Not that the first move you get should have any impact on your choice of starter, but the struggle was definitely real.

I'm slightly pissed off at people who think stall is a mindless playstyle, just a small thing but the fact that after ORAS release wich is the most anti stall jump in the franchise ever is quite baffling.

Tackle buff? Verry Good. Cut buff? Nonexistent. Cut has 50 Power and 95 Accuracy. In other words, there's a HM that's worse than Tackle and some games force you to use it to progress. (Most of those games were before Tackle's buff and you can use a TM slave to get around wasting a moveslot, but it's still a pointless move.) Rock Smash is at least forgivable for being a Fighting type move and having 50% chance of decreeing Defense.

At least they buffed it to 40 BP from 20...

Be grateful it isn't RBY Flash, GSC Flash / Whirlpool or DPP Defog which are plain annoying.

Wild Pokemon having Detect / Protect are one of the most annoying things in the series, right up there with Sturdy mons. They are just there to waste your time, especially the Wild Tranquil who spams Detect, Roost, Featherdance or Taunt while Wild Roggenrola and Boldore are plain stupid.

I'm going to stop you right there. Roggenrola isn't stupid. In the gen 5 games, it's only really found in one area per set, and even then mostly optional if you're not trying to find a Drillbur before the Nimbasa gym. Boldore, on the other hand... gets old really fast. Tranquil is just... ugh.

Can we throw wild Pokemon that have Roar/Whirlwind in here as well? Or perhaps Pursuit? No, Pidgeotto, I don't like being blown away when I just want to knock you out. No, Ratticate, I don't like having to go back and revive a Pokemon I'm trying to train because you KO'd it with Pursuit and I just wanted to switch to something fast enough to get away.

I miss the "evolution preview silhouette" (where in older games the evolved form would blink in and out before materializing).

If only for the very very very very very VERY rare occurrence of trying to evolve an Eevee at dusk when she knows a fairy move. Honestly I had no idea what I was getting until it was done, and by that point it's too late to press B. Time to reset some progress :(

I was trying to get Umbreon but got Espeon instead. It was dark outside in real life, that should mean dark inside the game right?

The game considers nights to always start at a specific time. I believe said time is 8 PM.

Thing is due to how the Earth's rotation works - or something; I'm not astronomer - dark tends to settle in much earlier at Winter and much later at Summer (with Autumn and Spring being sort of in-between points). Pokémon doesn't really account for this and hence as said, it sets 8PM to I believe 6AM as 'night'. We're getting close to Winter so it is starting to get darker now so yeah. This is something I kind of liked about Gen 5; it had night and day settle in at different times depending on the season.
... please come back seasons ;;

edit: also I should probably have a dislike here so

I don't think it's that bad, actually. Then again, blue is my favorite color, and there are, I think anyway, worse shinies (*cough* pre-Gen VI Dragonite *cough*).

It's not necessarily the colours chosen - on the contrary Dark Blue, Light Blue and White can work beautifully together - it's how they're used. There's no borders, the two blues blend together in an ugly way and it just looks like someone's dumped two buckets of blue paint on Xerneas' head. I'm no art critic but it just looks so horrible.

A lot of those shinies look terrible. Hoopa looks awful too with the somehow nearly everything becoming puke green. Yveltal's only really good because it becomes Bacon Bird.

I DONT like how all the characters have big big big eyes and big big heads, its almost like they are in the ANIME style of the art...........
To be exact, it's more of the chibi portrayal in Gen VI at least. A lot of Nintendo games are using that to represent more without actually animating much. At least they have feet unlike Fire Emblem Awakening.
