I've heard RNG'ing in gen 4 games is easier, though you may not get that many bites on Lugia/Ho-Oh unless you opt for Apricorn ball caught shinies of them. HG/SS would allow you to obtain their mascots from Dream Radar if you have it and Black2 or White2 to send them to, and their respective hidden abilities are highly desirable. which makes it all the more annoying you can't catch Regenerator Ho-Oh in Omega Ruby...

Fourth Gen, and retail to be exact.
If I recall correctly, when going for seeds, higher delays seem to be better than having to flip so many journal pages. You're better off waiting than making your fingers sore with all those journal flipping.

I had to advance 9500+ frames to get a Poke Radar Poke. That was terrible. XD

Gen 4 RNG abuse is still pretty easy with retail games, even more so if you want Stationary Pokémon and don't care about shinies. (Though ID/SID abuse for shinies is, too, quite easy)

I'd suggest trying to catch a stationary on retail first and see how it goes. The best way to learn is to try, really.

There are also some female Pokemon that I can't get but would like for breeding projects. I don't care about IVs on these and I'd be willing to breed you something in return.

I tossed my Destiny Knot and didn't know you could get another in-game, so I had to start over. Does anyone have any throw away Pokemon I could trade some Route 2 catches for? I have a few in mind that I would like to get started on Maison teams so I can rebuild BP.
 
I'm starting to think it's impossible to get a shiny beldum through breeding. Is it? I think I've spent atleast 35 hours. Got a shiny gastly much faster than that :( Omega ruby by the way.

Exact same odds, I'm afraid. Gender ratio doesn't affect chance of being shiny.

I have some of these I can't really check right now because I am SRing for Groudon but I know I at least have 3 of them... Unless I gave them away because most of my legends have crap stats but I can know at the very least I have Thunderus for you to borrow and bring back. :3
