Just wanted to let ppl know the charachter (and maybe other rarely used unicode charachters) will cause a replay to stop when that pokemon is switched into the battle:
Note how http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-293413732 stops on turn 9 while http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-293411848 goes to the end of the match.

The only difference is that victinis name is "℣ictinǐ ✌ " in the frozen one and "℣ictinǐ ✌" in the second (it also doesnt show in the battle log or in game). In case it doesnt show well here and i look like an idiot its (U+1F594)

Not an urgent must fix bug but i didnt see it mentioned anywhere so why not post it

Occasionally, my teams disappear from Showdown. I've tried all the usual avenues – check cookies, check https://, make backups. they just keep disappearing for no reason at random times without warning.

This wouldn't be a problem on PS' end.
I've talked to people in the Help room, and it's definitley a PS issue. I have not cleared my cookies, I have not been flicking between HTTP and HTTPS, I have not been using different browsers, I am not running CCleaner, I'm not running in incognito/private mode. I am not doing anything that would normaly clear localStorage or cookies.

This issue happens randomly, even without closing the browser. There is no particular cause or trigger, such as force-quitting the browser or the battery running dry. It just happens randomly, without warning, and not of my fault.

Playing against a Malamar with Contrary who had Toxic as a status effect.
Every time he used Superpower, it gave him an increase in Attack/Defense/Speed.

Here's a replay of my battle.
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/uu-290955093
Goodra has Gooey, which reduces the speed of Pokémon who make contact with it. But Malamar has Contrary, so instead of reducing, its speed rises. (This happened to me, but in my case I was battling a Sliggoo with a Malamar.)

If you are KO'd when using Knock Off due to Iron Barbs / Rough Skin, Knock Off will not remove the foe's item.

That's not a glitch, but how the game works.

Blitz Edit: Read one post above mine

Arceus cannot learn Spacial Rend/Roar of Time in ORAS, due to it not being able to pass PokeTransporter with it. Unfortunately, PS! allows the use of both moves, which can be somewhat important, as Spacial Rend is a really good Dragon-type move.

It cannot be a ps! issue since if it was everyone would be experiencing the same glitch because everyone is playing on the same ps!.
The most you can do is try switching browsers, since if your not doing anything that would delete your cookies then it most likely is a problem with your browser.

I guess this is a new bug:

When a pokémon with arena trap face a poké with levitate the game goes crazy:

After discussing some things with some older gen players, I found out that the Prankster + Assist + Whirlwind ban is not in place on the sim, making the team that sparked the whole ban usable..
Which format are you trying to use this in? The only format this is relevant in is Gen 5 NU, where Prankster + Assist is already banned. Assist can't call Roar or Whirlwind in Gen 6 so it wouldn't make any sense to keep that ban in NU now.

Ah, I was trying it in BW UU and OU. Thanks for the confirmation, couldn't find a thread or anything saying it was just a ban in bw nu.

Hello, (sorry if this has been brought up before but 244 pages is a lot to go through) when I was trying to build a Gen 2 OU team, the standard bellyzard set was rejected. I believe the issue has to do with the moves belly drum and rock slide being used together. The moves fire blast and earthquake are TMs and shouldn't cause the problem.

This is the set:

Charizard @ Leftovers
- Belly Drum
- Earthquake
- Fire Blast
- Rock Slide

Okay so, I was introduced to a new command named /deroomvoiceall. I was curious to how this worked so I asked Sir Kay to help me test it. He made a groupchat and voiced me,used the command and in the chat I was regular user but on the list I was still Voice. Is this a bug? This command was used in the VGC room today and I saw that user 'Donn' was still voiced on the user list, even when they were devoiced by this command.

it's just a visual bug, your rank is still there until you leave the room. If you tell someone else to join the room after the command happened, it will see you devoiced.

Visual bug:
3NWNINg.png

Steps to reproduce:
1. Zoroark came out on the opponent's side, as Unfezant
2. Zoroark used Flamethrower, Dark Pulse, and Focus Blast, which showed up in the list of moves
3. Zoroark fainted
4. The real Unfezant came out, and showed Zoroark's moves in its movelist. Pluck was added when used.

It's supposed to be like this. You can't know which moves used Zoroark and which Unfezant.
I mean it doesn't learn flamethrower or dark pulse, but the point still stand.

I made an account just to report this bug. Tier shift is bugged. I'm not exactly sure what is causing it, but max speed latios is outspeeding max speed ninetails, who is supposed to receive +15 base speed to its 100 regular base speed, allowing it to outspeed 110 base speed latios. My hypothesis is that mons tagged as "PU" are not properly receiving +15 to all stats. I know because I tested it with my girlfriend who was playing tier shift with me in the same room. We both checked the stats of our mons multiple times to ensure they were both set to max speed, and we reproduced the bug multiple times.
From the tier shift op
 • Lower tier banned Abilities and Moves affect the boosts given to the Pokemon using them. Drizzle, Drought and Shadow Tag are banned from UU, so Pokemon using these abilities get BL boosts (+0). Chatter is banned from PU, so Chatter Chatot only gets NU boosts.
If you are using Drought ninetals, that is right. Drought is banned in PU.
So ninetales get +0 and then it is outspeeded by latios
If you are using Flash Fire Ninetals, it is a bug.

Hello everyone, I'd like to report what I believe to be a bug. I've noticed more than once that people are using Gengar with Sludge Wave a lot lately. The problem is: Gengar does not learn Sludge Wave. Not by level up, not by TM, not by Tutor, not by Breeding, not by any regular means. The only legal way Gengars can get Sludge Wave is through event distributions held by Nintendo (as the one held in October last year). The catch here is: those Gengars were shiny, and people are currently using Sludge Wave on regular Gengars as well, which should not be allowed, and the servers are accepting it as possible. It's a tricky thing to notice since we're all so used to seeing it everywhere, but I thought it was worth mentioning. Proof: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ubers-296089440

It is possible through some Dream World stuff in gen 5 where it got Sludge Wave without being shiny. No bug here.

For future reference, if you type "/learn gengar, sludge wave" into any chat box (battle or not), you should get "gen 5 dream world" and "gen 6 event: 3 gengar". While it's true that the event you talk about is shiny, Gen5 Dream World Gastly from Spooky Manor is not.
