Here is a pastebin of all possible Pokemon the newcomer could be. My money is personally on Sceptile due to being an unrepresented type, not being a background Pokemon, being a biped with long range and close up options, ORAS publicity, and having a cool mega.
I'm not going to wishlist though just point out ones I think could be interesting:
Cloyster/Bronzong: could be a more defensive character, doesn't do big hits but its defense means it won't be getting knocked out any time soon.
Ditto: "Wouldn't Ditto just be a clone fighter"? Maybe, or they could do a Mortal Kombat's Shang Tsung/Skullgirl's Double. Ditto transforms into the different fighters and not just the one its facing, taking on some of their traits.
Snorlax: Sumo.
Zapdos/Ledian/Vespiquen/Drifloon/Gliscor/Sigilyph/Reuniclus: It would be interesting to have a fighter who's constantly in flight. While there are others on the list that can fulfill this, I picked the ones I felt would be the most interesting.
Unown: Every game has to have a joke character, especially ones that if used under the right conditions can become deadly...
Wobbuffet: Another version of the defensive character, one that can only counter and the trick to fighting it would be dodging its counters.
Donphan: I think it's rolling gimmick would make for an interesting moveset.
Slaking: Would be interesting to see if its gimmick would be able to translate into a 3D real time fighter.

But if they do that they would be required to add in Gallade and they said they were only adding in one new Pokemon:

They... wouldn't be 'required' to add in anything. Diancie clearly has enough different attributes to Gallade to set it apart even if they went for a swordfighting theme, and hell Diancie's arguably more likely due to being a legendary and being a representative of Gen 6 (of which there are currently none).But if they do that they would be required to add in Gallade and they said they were only adding in one new Pokemon:

It was a joke. That said Gallade wouldn't be a bad choice (adding in a sword fighter, though I suppose Bisharp could do that as well), but it's not one of the Pokemon who is a possibility.
Why are people wishlisting here? I know it's based on something they have released, but its tenuous at best and the sheer number of Pokemon it could be is ridiculous.

Still, I am excited for more news about this... Shame I highly doubt I'll be getting it if it comes out at "normal" retail prices because it's just not a full game with such little content.

But we... don't know the amount of content yet though? In reality we know very little about the retail release and from the looks of things it's going to have a larger roster than originally expected and a story mode (I highly doubt the whole Shadow Mewtwo thing will come without it's own little story surrounding it).
Isn't there always like "extra" modes not in the arcade version? I mean I played Tekken in the arcades and on consoles and consoles ALWAYS have more features.

I know this is getting off topic, but I've seen one of those before. And it says "Wii." Does that mean that I can use it on the Wii? Also, can this be used on the Wii to play Game Cube games?They put a home button on the controller.
Instead of a gamecube connection point it connects into a Wii Remote like any classic controller. I've always used gamecube controllers for smash and such and it's just generally my favourite controller so I'll probably use it for this.

It was made for the Wii U; I've no clue why it just says Wii on it. I haven't even tried it on an original Wii or even on original Wii games in the Wii U so I wouldn't know what to say.
Dark Mewtwo looks very fun; though I'd be lying if I said I didn't want normal Mewtwo in there too. ... I'll probably still end up maining them
