I know you tossed this already, but don't calc against a mon that is entirely irrelevant to the meta you're SRing for because the calc has no use at all. Mew is banned in BS GS Cup 2016, you'll never be fighting it.

Mew: 100 def / 100 sp. def
Xerneas: 131 def / 98 sp. def

Fire Punch isn't a horrible option in comparison to Overheat and it's your safest option for a Geo'd Xerneas.

156+ Atk Primal Groudon Fire Punch vs. 252 HP / 44+ Def Xerneas in Harsh Sun: 118-139 (50.6 - 59.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO (Geared for 3HKO from Precipice Blade, a spread you probably would never see -it sucks-)

252 SpA Primal Groudon Overheat vs. +2 184 HP / 0 SpD Xerneas in Harsh Sunshine: 94-112 (41.9 - 50%) -- 0.4% chance to 2HKO (Groudon likes HP, so it doesn't die - but I'm just pointing out the dmg for 252 sp.atk)

Even if your original target was indeed mixed, Brave Groudon is still good for being physically flawless.

/me booty bumps jio c:
I obviously used a neutral target to show the difference in base power/damage output, not because Mew is a relevant metagame threat.

Running Fire Punch just means that you're inviting Lando-T and Aegislash to mess with your fun. Also... Xerneas is severly overhyped right now and I expect it's usage to drop soon, but even if not... like you said, that spread sucks.
Investing nearly 300 EVs AND A NATURE into physical bulk cripples your damage output and/or Speed, before and after Geomancy.

Using Fire Punch as your Fire STAB of choice is also bad against Ferrothorn, because you'd take chip damage from Iron Barbs and Groudon has no recovery. What Groudon has, is the natural bulk to stomach some of the strongest hits in the metagame, but those chances drop dramatically after you've taken a little bit of chip damage. I'd rather not do that.

EDIT: Uninvested Brave Overheat has a chance to OHKO 4HP Mega Kangaskhan. Max Attack Fire Punch doesn't even come close.

For special attackers I know a spread of 31/00/31/31/31/31 is preferred over 31/31/31/31/31/31. For physical attackers does it matter if the Sp. Attack IV is 0? Would it look better if it were 31/31/31/00/31/31 rather than 31/31/31/31/31/31?
Technically, there is a competitive reason to run min SAtk physical Pokemon. It's just not nearly as relevant as reducing Foul Play and confusion damage. Power Split.

Nope.

This way works. (unreliable and you need two 3DSs + two games to do it)

This way works too. (this way works too, but you need a 3DS with outdated firmware)
Hmm i cannot do neither of those unfortunately. Only one 3ds and i recently update to latest firmware. Hmm so i need to buy a power save then. Thanks for the reply!

So yeah! If a handful (5 or 6 people?) of you could order these Pokemon in order of "should have to use" to "do not use", I would appreciate it! (You can be as cruel or as arbitrary as you like. I enjoy a challenge.)

Thanks guys! Unless I get some last minute polls I'm gonna use the scores I have now. Just gonna shave the top 4 because they're fairly far ahead. (For fun, I used the Fibonacci sequence to score the results :V Means higher-scores were much more heavily weighted than several medium scores. ***maths*** ) So unless anyone wants to skew the results, for my eventual Z playthrough I'm gonna use:

conkeldurr.gif

I've been meaning to train a Politoed and a Conkeldurr anyway, so that works out well! But maaaaaan Flareon is gonna be *such* a deadweight :V still looking forward to it though.

what are some good trick room sweepers ?

I have mega camerupt, mega heracross, pangoro, cofragigus, crawdaunt, mega ampharos, conkeldurr, malamar, mega abomasnow
I really like no guard Machamp, D punch, stone edge, knock off and bullet punch give incredible coverage making expert belt viable but also clawitzer (essential for triples due to his cross field mega launcer boosted moves) a octillery has excellent coverage. I've got load of TR spitbacks in my thread if ur breeding a team...jellicant is also a offensive presence for a TR setter as well
-Pokemon like Scizor, talon flame and bisharp can work in or out of TR with their stron priority STABs

I can get you one(their super rare in Liycove, so I see why you don't want to look for one yourself.) I'm not gonna be too demanding, but I want something, so if you have any of the Pokes I'm looking for(page 335,) I'll get you one with whatever reasonably easy item to get(what item depends what you can trade, but no Master Ball either way, not cause I wouldn't give one but cause I don't have one.)

I read you can oly have it from Dream World you sure we can catch it at lilicove?

Everything, that can be encountered in the wild in ORAS and isn't stationary, can have it's HA when caught. You can thank the DexNav feature for that.

Serebii says that it can only be found by Super Rod, can it have HA too?

EDIT: It can be found by DexNav just checked it.

When you've seen something with a super rod, you can then use the Dex Nav to get it to spawn on a tile without using it. It's pretty cool, but annoying because sneaking up on stuff on the open ocean is awkward :/ It is definitely doable though! You'll still have to use the Dex Nav to get the HA.

I need a little bit of help from a few random forum goers.

A few minutes ago, I decided that megas or no megas, I'm not really interested in using Greninja, Chesnaught or Delphox (used it in OU/used it in game/It Sucks, respectively) in Z, which isn't really too much of a surprise. I tend to shake up my playthroughs of any game where I've already visited a region. For ORAS I did a random egg run but I think this time I'll just breed stuff myself. The question is: What should I breed?

So I did a few runs on a random Pokemon generator - ten runs, 6 Pokemon each, I choose one from each run (as its most evolved form) to end up with 10 partially random, partially chosen Pokemon. But I'm gonna ask you guys (if you don't mind) to order them so I can get a "top 5" - and I'll use 4 of those. Again, semi-random. And I'm committing to this! I don't care what we find out about Z, or about the massive wait we've got, or if the Pokemon have horribleterrible synergy. I'm using them and only them for Z, plus mandatory HM slaves.

So yeah! If a handful (5 or 6 people?) of you could order these Pokemon in order of "should have to use" to "do not use", I would appreciate it! (You can be as cruel or as arbitrary as you like. I enjoy a challenge.)

I'd need the order for the other guys to factor them in to the grade. But, wow, using Fibonnaci over 1-10 really rocketed Slowking. Like, woah. Mind you because of ^^^^^ now I'm looking at a Politoed + Slowking team + Friends, and that'll be... different...? :O

Assuming perfect means 31/31/31/x/31/31 since it's Impish, I can definitely do that for the Magikarp.
I was kinda hoping for all 31s. As odd as it is, i'd like Fire Blast for coverage.

Edit: I'm also rather new to the community. I was under the assumption that...
Spitback = 5/6 with the x in a bad spot
Flawless = 5/6 with the x in the good spot
Perfect = 6/6?

Am I incorrect? (Please educate a noob :D )

spitback does not have to have 5/6 perfect IV's. I consider spitbacks to be breeding rejects they can have anywhere from 1 to 4 to 5 IV's it depends on what you define as leftovers...Flawless is correct. Most people would just say 6IV instead of perfect but perfect works just fine. Hope that helps.

I'm not sure which topic to ask in, but can someone check two sid's for me? I wanna do some soft resetting on firered and I got 2 copies. I brought over one pokemon from each game I was hoping could be checked.
